Sorry, but gotta post another comment. I’ll be posting this on Jeff Childers as soon as his stack drops this morning.

In case anyone here is under the impression that “they” are listening to us, let me remove any doubt.

Was walking with a friend yesterday.  We had our iPhones in our pockets, but she was wearing an Apple watch.

I was recalling something I had heard where someone used the “N” word.

But I didn’t say, “N”.  I said the abhorrent word aloud.

Immediately after quoting verbatim what I had heard this person say, I said, “I HATE using that word” to which my friend said, “Yes, so do I”.

Not even two minutes later, my friend received a phone call that appeared on her phone as “Technical Support”.  The number showed up on the detail in the call log as 800-922-0204 which is officially linked to Verizon but it is being reported that scammers have been using it.

She answered and the person on the other end said that my friend had called Verizon Technical Support – to which my friend said, “I did not call you”.

This person from Verizon said to my friend that she had heard our conversation and to be “mindful of the language you use”.   Unfortunately, my friend was so taken aback that she didn’t think to say, “did you hear the words immediately spoken after hearing the “N” word?”.

Needless to say, it was a very short conversation that rattled my friend, but I think she is still under the impression that her phone accidentally called Technical Support.  It’s too disturbing to think otherwise. She knows I am a dissident and knows all about the embalmer clots that I write about, so I’m sure this incident is still rolling around in her mind.

Her call log showed that three other numbers were called within the same timeframe that she did not place. They showed up on her phone as “#BAL”, “#MIN” and “Directory Assistance”.  My guess was this was to make it look like her phone was randomly calling numbers.

Yeah, that pesky First Amendment keeps getting in the way. Neither of us have been hauled off to the gulag (yet).

OMG LAURA!!! I'm so tempted to try this but I don't think I can utter that word. Scary times!!!

Expand full comment

Coincidentally, last night I was watching Am I Racist, the DailyWire/Matt Walsh's new film (just released to streaming), and something similar happens in the outtakes (all the way at the end of the film, after the credits). Essentially Matt calls a bookstore asking about a book by that name (the N word spelled out... yes, that book is real (!!), written by an African American author) and the conversation he has with the clerk is hilarious ("do you have that book with the title that can't be named").

How I ended up finding that book (to see if it's real, not to buy it... obviously!!) is a whole other story. I kinda relived Matt's same cringe experience because Amazon clearly censors the N word so you can't just search for it that way. Also, didn't want to risk Amazon closing my Prime account for searching racist terms.

Expand full comment

Prime account or not, you KNOW Amazon is not your friend. Giving Amazon money is a hard one to give up.

Expand full comment

When we get to the point where some words are the exclusive domain of certain identity groups we have reached a tipping point where free speech is no longer free. I believe we are there now. I would not use nigger in normal conversation just our of consideration so as not to offend, but not because I feel it is not utterable by whites-blacks seem to use it with each other with impunity. If I was reading a book out loud and "nigger" popped up, I would read it in full. Why is nigger not OK for whites, but honky is OK for blacks to use? Hope this comment does not get you in trouble, Jenna.

I have been suspect those Apple Watches all along (not that the iPhones are much better in the “listening in on what you are saying” aspect of things)…I have a ‘casual boyfriend’ who wears his Apple Watch to bed. When I am at his house I ask him to take his watch off, and take it and his iPhone into another room, out of the room in which we are sleeping.

Expand full comment

Yes. This has been happening for quite awhile. Something very similar happened to me ,just yesterday. I don’t carry a cell phone, but, was having a very private conversation at a friends house who had, near us,his phone, his iPad,and, smart tv. Our conversation was about something I have NEVER talked about to anyone. I have never looked this product up ( one of the things we talked about) ,ever. Later,he sent a email asking for a cookie recipe,and,5 minutes later,YouTube sends me videos on the very product we were discussing….

This happens so often, and it’s flat out scary wrong! Though, having a person CALL about a private conversation is a whole other level of scary!

Expand full comment

noticed the same with an amazon search looking for carry on luggage, then I get e mails about travel etc. I avoided smart phones because I consider them the gateway to CBDC, digital ID and all the rest. Not that it will make a difference.

But,that kinda makes sense… we all know our search engine is used for marketing. We are talking about PRIVATE conversations, human to human, that is somehow being picked up,in the room,no Googling involved, and used to market stuff….or,worse 😳

My fear is that early voting trends provide a roadmap to elites on how much they need to cheat and they will do so to counter what they see. I am not voting early, but voting in person on election day to prevent my vote from being cancelled.

Expand full comment

I get your point… But MY fear is that they will do something to prevent voting on actual election day… Or just sweep that final pile into the trash… They’re going to cheat either way, so I guess it’s a tossup!

Expand full comment

And all of this just points out how low the Dems will go, that we have to be concerned about both ways. Sheesh!

Expand full comment

Plan is currently to replay 2016, as date night...go vote, go to a known bar frequented by opposition, have drinks and enjoy the tears

Expand full comment

This is false. If it were true they couldn’t have cheated the way they did in 2020 when most of us waited until Election Day to vote yet most Democrats voted early. How’d that happen? It happened because they could count on knowing we WOULD wait, and they constructed an election environment that allowed them to exploit that. They just had to sit tight and see what the numbers on Election night were knowing that’s where most our votes were, and put in enough last minute mail-in ballots to win. They were able to do this simply because they knew MOST of the early voting ballots were theirs. This time they cannot do that.

However, in defense of voting early:

1) in these last days it’s expensive in both time and money to reach those voters still undecided that we desperately need to reach more of. If these days are wasted knocking on doors like yours or calling/emailing you, etc, then that’s one less person they couldn’t get to that could have been convinced to vote Trump. Yet the Dems have always known this and they WILL reach more because they aren’t going to doors that are already decided. Once we vote, we are off the campaign rolls and they can focus their precious energies going to the right doors.

2) they also play the odds that 20% of ALL people who intend to vote on Election Day never get there due to unforeseen circumstances like illness, accidents, emergencies, schedule conflict, polling place mishaps, and overall apathy due to polls/press/reporting. In addition, initially the democrats were planning Election Day interference to disrupt our votes such as machine tampering and glitches, intimidation techniques, deception in processes, potentially large scale disasters, and especially civil unrest, etc.

Lastly, there have been a LOT of trolls for the past couple months spreading and nurturing the sense of fear of voting early to coerce people on our side into waiting, yet the trolls turned out not to be conservative but plants from the left. Why would they so eagerly want us all to wait?

The bottom line is we need to stop our own virtue signaling and being so proud of our voting the way we feel is “the proper way” (because yes, one day, in person, paper ballots only, with voter ID is the best and purest way,) while the other side has created an entirely DIFFERENT and uneven election playing field where the pure way will fail every single time. Since the rules are not pure, and the playing field is uneven, we have to beat them at their own game until the election rules change. Our early voting has already rattled them and upset a ton of their planning.

So there are at least three good reasons to vote early, and only one to wait and that one is based on fear.

Expand full comment

SOLD. "The perfect is the enemy of the good."

I just called our town clerk who schedules "in-person absentee voting, by appointment only", and divides the 3 hours the office is open daily into 12 15-minute appointments, limited to 1 person or 2 family members per appointment.

So for the 13 days set aside for in-person absentee voting, a maximum of 12 x 2 x 13 = 312 votes will be admitted. As a practical matter, the appearance to voters is that "mail-in" voting is the "preferred" early-voting method. We had no trouble getting an appointment even calling today, but we did get the last one.

I think what you might also be saying is that "votes that are on the books" the day before election day will be harder to explain how they disappeared afterward.

[Of course if we get KILLED on the way to vote today and we WOULDN'T have gotten killed on Nov. 5, well, the plan could be said to have back-fired and cost two votes. But, no, that's "thinking like the fools."]

THIS JUST IN: We did it. And I can see how the process takes 15 min for 1 or 2 related people; have to look them up on the computer; have to get them a numbered ballot; have to explain how it has to be handled so as not to invalidate it; have to receive the ballot, sign it, log it. Now even if we get KILLED between now and the election, our two votes are in. (RFKjr was still on the Wisconsin ballot, but he's at the end, long after people have stopped reading.)

AND I LEARNED THIS: IF there's a recount, and my absentee ENVELOPE is challenged (the ballot has already been counted and is in the milieu), they cannot "back out" my defective votes; instead (!!!) they draw a NEW result AT RANDOM! That is to say, because they cannot track who benefited to undo it, they just dilute the vote with a new, randomly generated, vote. File under "Stuff They Never Tell You."

Expand full comment

Not fear, prudence. I usually do vote early, but not this time. That's just the way it is for me.

If we vote early in great numbers they will know just how much they need to cheat, no?
