How Often Do You Want It?
Daily? Weekly? Monthly? Never? Tell me what you want, what you really really want. *IN THIS SUBSTACK JEEZ PLEASE KEEP YOUR PERVERSIONS TO YOURSELVES.
I received this sweet but slightly puzzling email in response to my last post:
It wasn’t have you increased your frequency; as in, “Is it my imagination or am I enjoying the delight that is your writing even more often than I used to?” The guy wanted to know why. Maybe I’m a tiny bit defensive shut up dear nobody asked you, but I heard, “Whoa, you might want to pump the brakes a little, toots. Ain’t nobody got time for this much Jenna.”
The second to last thing I want to be is an annoying obligation in anyone’s inbox. (The very last thing is to be trapped in an elevator with Joy Behar.) I was about to point out that just because I write it doesn’t mean you have to read it, but then I realized that might make me sound like an asshole so I decided not to mention it.
I’ve been shooting for three posts a week, which for now is just about all I can handle as I have several other (paying) jobs—plus a husband and kids and cats and a TBR pile a mile high and a house that is not self-cleaning and a body that needs moving—and each post can take me a day or more to research and write and sprinkle with amusing memes and hopefully make funny AF.
So, talk to me. In a perfect world hahahahaha I wouldn’t even be writing this if we lived in one of those but you know what I mean how often would you like to see a new post from me? If you have six seconds, please take this quick and painless poll. Your answers will help me do my best to deliver the proper degree of snark going forward. Don’t be shy—I aim to please*.
*Mostly. I mean, if your answer is “never” I’m going to have to ask why you’re even here and I will probably manually remove you from my list. It’s only fair. TIA.
If you answered EVERY DAMNED DAY, feel free to visit the Jenna’s Side archives or my old-school blog until I can accommodate.
Something I read recently which really resonated with me. Go Jenna.
We are not here to make others comfortable. It is through keeping others comfortable that we dim our own light, we give our own power away. In fact, we are here to make others UNCOMFORTABLE, as that is the only way to true transformation. Trying to fit into a sick society will only keep us sick. We are not here to adapt to an insane world, as we only lose our own sanity in the process. We are here to BE the Event, the Solar Flash, the Great Awakening. We are all walking catalysts and we make no apologies.
Why have you increased your frequency? Because you got a lot to say and no one is going to hold you back, especially not this damn poll! Keep preaching lady!
