I’ll definitely be opting out. No one needs to know my personal health history in order for me to get into their country and spend my tourist dollars. And if they do, I’ll gladly keep my butt in the US. Plenty to see here. Great beaches. All it takes is for people to say NO. Sadly, the brainwashed masses forgot how.

Travel NOW. before it’s too late.

Janet's avatar

I did my major world travel from 1984 through 2003. I’m over it. Now we camp the beautiful West of the immeasurably gorgeous US of A. Closer to home in the autumn. A park near Horicon Marsh National Wildlife Preserve, Wisconsin (2 hours from home) is like a paradise in the peak of fall. Takes your breath away. The only reason I need to renew my passport is a sister in Ireland who is not well. No other family there.

Tonee norman's avatar

So, you got the government ID drivers license? I opted out of the Ca ID, but, had to have a passport to travel by plane,ANYWHERE.Its probably a good thing to have a passport, just for the sake of being able to travel internationally. Even without family in Europe, the ability to “get out of Dodge” at the drop of a hat,is appealing ,to me..Though,truthfully, I very much dislike flying. Much to my husband’s dismay as his retirement benefits in that area are truly amazing…I AM disappointed in myself for that.☹️

Monica's avatar

It’s a paradise all year round! Magical place!

Janet's avatar

Have you been up to the Dodge County Ledges park overlooking the marsh? My favorite campground. We kayaked the state refuge area once. I do want to go when there is snow on the marsh sometime. Camping season is close!

DJL's avatar

I’m not a camper but it sounds lovely. The US is full of beautiful outdoor sites!

John Wright's avatar

It's already too late in my opinion. 2020 was the end of international travel.

🌱Nard🙏's avatar

It’s the eyeball and face recognition scanners overseas that are freaky…you can avoid them here, but not there. So. Annoying.

KatWarrior's avatar

Yep! It's fully "operable" going in and out of the Shengen region (i.e., EU), so going to France is now off the docket for me. But, I am making my first real visit to Texas in late April! Hanging with my homestead/cowboy brethren, learning a ton of new skills, and scoping out the landscape.

Tonee norman's avatar

I flew for the first time in years 2 weeks ago. They face scanning took me by surprise and I didn’t know I could opt out till someone is this community told me …now,I know. It is ,indeed, very creepy.

Frontera Lupita's avatar

Yes opt out of the face screening…just say “I’d like to op out of the photo” in a sweet girl voice. Then opt out of the radiation filled body scanner, and request a “pat down” by a “lovely female TSA worker” (allow yourself and extra 30- 40 minutes, the TSA ladies like to take their sweet ass time getting to you).

Tonee norman's avatar

Awww, that’s what I figured ,once I thought about opting out “next time”..

When,do we cry “uncle” ? Do we tell ourselves we are just “pretending “ to agree? These are difficult, soul searching questions, for me…

John Wright's avatar

Duck!

Hmm... it's starting to sound like time to take "Mission Impossible" serious and up our "spy skills"!

DJL's avatar

Just got back from the Dominican Telublic 😁

Ellen Batchelor's avatar

But is your immunization status part of a state registry? Is your health record linked to others in your state through a health information exchange? Depending where you live it could be and the officials made it opt out, and then made it difficult for you to do that. Here in Colorado that's all true and health offices have patients sign an electronic signature pad. The patients can only see the documents they're signing if they ask and the staff doesn't make that comfortable. So many of us, through ignorance, are already connected at some level and it's not going to take much to connect the rest.

Dubby Rose's avatar

Good idea! If enough people protest, and it starts to interfere with profits, it might actually make a difference.

JudyC's avatar

Makes it pretty easy for me, I just won’t spend my tourist dollars anywhere this is in effect. If that means I hang out in my own beautiful state , so be it. I’ve done enough traveling and living all over the world before they started destroying it!

DJL's avatar

Just got back from the Dominican Republic 😁

The lesson was not learned during Covid -it will be fear again, that makes people think that this is necessary -truly evil

Jeff Johnson's avatar

Yep, fear is ALWAYS the incentive, all controlling people know this and know how to use it.

At my age, I dont like to go to stores, sporting events, concerts or public parks. Travel out of the country? Good LORD NO !! Its Monday and I will have a couple of adult beverages at my local pub and talk about it. Cheers.

Janet's avatar

If I can get out in nature, I’m ok. Walking, hiking, painting, thinking, talking to God. I too am not interested in those other places. I enjoy wilderness—wherever small or large pockets exist. How I got through Covid.

Ditto. My hubby and I bought an Empire State Pass during C19 and visited every single state park (and there were lots) in our area. It was magical being the only people on the road and in the woods! When we did run into a fellow hiker, they were so scared of us that they would turn away from us as we walked past lol 😝

Janet's avatar

Lol, AJ. We walked without masks and a few times walkers coming toward us would adjust their masks and run past us. How ridiculous. I would laugh out loud as they skittered away. I sat around a group of church women sitting by a fire with masks—while it was snowing and one had 2 masks on. I politely refused. But weren’t they ultra protected by the mask? I don’t hang around these women anymore. All liberals.

AJoy's avatar

Yes! The same here. It was actually funny to see fellow hikers wearing masks outside and turning from us as we went by! People are brainwashed and need to shut the tel-lie-vision off and get a life LOL. Unfortunately I have libs in my family I can’t ignore, much patience is needed when I’m dealing with them 🥴

Never thought I’d be so thankful that I’m too poor to travel out of country. 🤣 My sudden lower classness has just become one of my best privileges. Hee hee

(I say “sudden” because we used to be middle-upper class but the past two decades firmly slapped us down to lower class due to medical costs, inability to have a second income due to needing to stay home with disabled children, income taxes, and real estate taxes on our only home. All of that took everything my husband earned.)

America is beautiful enough for me anyway. As is my pretty backyard. ☺️

"And we definitely know how it ends. So forgive me if I’d rather give birth to an angry, fully grown porcupine than buy a ticket." 🤣🤣🤣

Hard pass and massive non-compliance! It doesn't matter what everyone else is doing when you, your family and friends, neighbors, and strangers alike all band together and do the right thing.

If everyone refused to get the covid shot, then that is where it would have stopped. Relying on Trump or any other politician to "opt out" of the system isn't even an alternative. He announced Project Stargate with CIA created Oracle with Larry Ellison FFS. They are creating the digital prisons with these massive AI datacenters that are literally suckng the life out of the environment with their insane amount of water and power usage.

The only solution is massive non compliance and refusing to participate while we build parallel systems to decentralize away from these corporate anti-human agendas.

Sharing some not suicidal Chris Webby raw thoughts for those that can appreciate modern day resistance via conscious rap: https://youtu.be/eW9xH3feKEo

Dubby Rose's avatar

I am in agreement with what you said. However, it would have been better not to include such an anti-semitic rant/rap. Perhaps you weren't aware, but what he was saying would have been more appropriate to the belief system of 17th century ignorant and superstitious peasants while conducting a pogrom. Have we really devolved that much?

Vee's avatar

Being critical of Israel and the Zionists controlling this country and the rest of the world isn't anti-semitism, it's reality. If you truly want to understand who controls the world, then ask yourself who we can't criticize.

Dubby Rose's avatar

Apparently you are unable to differentiate between criticism and bigotry. Assuming you are Christian, does it every occur to you how Jesus might judge those who slandered and defamed his people - and called it "reality"? Racism is no longer acceptable in polite society. Seems like antisemitism is the last bastion for ignorant Jew haters everywhere. Me? I prefer to do proper research so I know what I'm talking about - and that doesn't include either Mein Kampf or the fictitious Elders of Zion.

Vee's avatar

Please enlighten me on how being critical of Israel and questioning the Israel first policy in American politics is racist. If by polite society, did you mean fake? If so, I agree that there is certainly a lot of fakeness on the surface level.

Dubby Rose's avatar

As I said, there is a profound difference between criticism and bigotry. If you are unable to determine even this difference, you are hardly worth wasting of any more time on you. Considering your "character" I have no doubt that were you to say something critical of Israel, which you so far have not, it would be based on Jew hatred, not on fact. What you both said, and the vitriolic and slanderous hatred you spread with that rap fit the definition of bigotry and ignorance, not reality" - although it is apparently your reality. My condolences.

Vee's avatar

There is nothing profound about anything you are saying. You aren't being specific at all about what was antisemitic about Chris Webby's song and you are attacking my "character" because I shared a conscious rap video that is critical of Israel.

For facts about Israel, how about the blatant false flags attacks against US soldiers on the USS liberty? What about the now obvious Israeli intelligence involvement in 9/11? If you don't know about that, I highly recommend looking into the dancing Israelis that were caught recording and celebrating the 9/11 attacks and allowed to fly back to Israel without any repercussions.

Israel has used the US to attack Iran and now the world is on the brink of WWIII based on fabricated intelligence. Our tax dollars went into murdering schoolgirls and teachers for what? For Israel.

These are facts. Debate me on these points instead of throwing blind vague accusations about being racist.

Baldmichael's avatar

We are all part of the human race so racism is not a thing despite what people day. There is nationalism and tribalism for example but not racism.

And to be anti-semitic is to hate perhaps one third of the human race who descended from Shem, Noah's son.

So please, it is anti-Jewish if anything. And it is vital to remember that there are Jews who say they are Jews but are not but are of the synagogue of Satan.

They are the ones who have control of so much nowadays, it is not hard to understand or research.

F#CK the WHO and F$CK Bill Gates!!! He can stick Vaccine Passports up his A$$!!!

Marlene Swann's avatar

It just gets scarier every day. I read yesterday that Canada now has passed a bill that identifies biblical speech regarding marriage and sexuality as a hate crime. According to Bill C-9, quoting scripture on marriage, sin, or Gods design for sexuality can be prosecuted as “willful promotion of hatred.” They have taken out the religious exemption from hate speech laws. But - Canada’s Justice Minister assures us this will “in no way prevent a religious leader from reading their religious texts,” and that freedom of religion remains a protected Charter right. Where? In a prison cell?

It goes right along with ASEAN countries trying out this Digital Health Wallet.” First rung in the “present your digital wallet to receive your daily allotment of food” progression. We need to fight back fast and hard before it comes to that. But - (after all that bad news) - my mantra remains “I trust Jesus!”

Hard pass on that! And that’s a hill I would die on. What’s with Bill Gates? He’s for everything that seems evil. I’m glad I did all my international travel before covid. And I’m so glad to be at this end of life. Everything I reference is BC now. (Before Covid) And I’m glad Trump got US out of the WHO.

Baldmichael's avatar

What’s with Bill Gates? Its his name as much as anything, he is pre-programmed. William Henry Gates, his full name, anagrams to:

- Alarmingly wee shit

- at eyes willing harm

- hi Mr wily Satan glee

Among various others which are suitable.

In my experience domestic health records are public info. Every prescription, surgery, vaccine and treatment. The digital infrastructure to tie it to a passport is likely in place. Just not activated. Next covid level crisis, the healthcare industrial complex drops the net.

John Wright's avatar

"Dr. Cat" for the win!

Personally I opt for both: refusing to travel and *also* opposing digital ID!

The funny thing (for me) is the idea that having your health information conveniently in a digital wallet is somehow a good thing? Uh... no! The sick care system is something I don't participate in so there is absolutely zero need for me to have any "medical records".

I’m glad I’m so old, 79 in a couple of weeks. My husband just turned 80. We’re going to Hawaii for two weeks in May, but I’m thinking that might be the last plane flight I’ll want to take. We’re in good health and active, but I’d just as soon drive. And I really don’t like having to leave our cat.

I feel you! Leaving my cats is the WORST! Have an amazing trip. Aloha! :)

The same authoritarian monsters who are strangling the world are of course paying idiot protestors to declare "no kings" on the street. The level of psychological operation we are living through is just beyond making clear sense. Thanks for your efforts to mock it all! A faith in Jesus and a good sense of humor is the answer to all of it. 😃🙏

There is absolutely no scenario where the rest of the world needs to know all of my health information. We could all travel with a drive that stores our health info in our pocket. This is a hard no- a no way in He!!-and a hill to die on. I guess you could say I think it’s stupid.
