Ugh, sorry I missed all that hubBUB over the weekend as I was head down BLOWING other things much of the time … tons of leaves from my wooded property’s yard. It was a gorgeous late fall weather weekend for anyone who cares. ;-)
I’m BLOWN away by how many leaves were in our yard this year. Heh heh
The maturing of our many trees makes it a day long task. Twice as many as last year. I used my husband’s brand new “Mercedes of blowers” while they used rakes. We use a lot of leaves to stuff around the base of our rhododendrons and hydrangeas for winter protection, but still have at least ten yard’s worth left. We have a pile near the street waiting for pickup that is as long and as high as two suburbans. My clever son came up with the brilliant idea to use a large tarp to transport them to the curb. Saved us HOURS. Why I never thought of that before is why I’m not allowed to do our taxes anymore. 🤣
This year I said something so dense…gee it seems like we have so many more leaves than we did 5-10 years ago. Well, duh, the trees are much bigger than they were 5-10 years ago!
Yeah, a truck comes by with a huge vacuum tube and sucks them up. (Small dogs nearby beware 🤣) It is nice. In the last city we lived we had to bag them and it was a PIA. Thankfully we didn’t have many trees at that address.
I was canvassing in an over 55 community last week. The amount of leaves I saw in their front yards while realizing some are barely able to take care of themselves was sad, and seemed to be a good service opportunity. And if you compost for your gardens, pure gold.
I got to thinking later... I think they have to pay HOA fees to take care of front yards, but am not sure... some have artificial grass. Most don't. Don't know if that keeps people from paying yard maintenance fees or not.

Trump's hand looks too large, suggesting it was out in front of Clinton, well away from the suggested target, as Trump reached for Clinton's other hand or something. The left likes to whine about Trump's tiny hands, so if we aren't seeing foreshortening in action as it appears to me, then Clinton's presidential package must be puny. Trump didn't so much blow as he maybe used it to pick something out of his teeth.
