I’m definitely on the same page as Jenna. Trump did the right thing that no other president has had the courage to do. As abhorrent as war can be, we had a necessary war 250 years ago. And I am appalled at the women who couldn’t decide who valued women’s rights more. I blame the media and its TDS.

Lori's avatar

It is time to add TDS as a real and verifiable mental illness in the medical literature.

Oh ok. Got it. 🤣

Me too. Did you see the 60 Minutes interviewer of the son of the Shah's face when the son of the Shah said Trump will be remembered forever in Iran?

I did not David!

Love it! 🤣🤣🤣

Totally shocked by those ignorant college girls!

Though my blonde, sweet niece just graduated from San Francisco state university with a degree in something like Arabic/ Muslim studies…I could never get quite a clear answer on WHY or,even, exactly WHAT her degree was called…and,of course, she’s taking a “break “ to figure out her next move…back with her mom in Vermont, and can’t wait to move back to San Francisco…sigh…

As an indication of how far we have "progressed" in 25 years, another event like 9-11 would cause the left, MSM, and many in Congress to side with the terrorists.

Janet's avatar

The left is so addled and being treated like mushrooms by their “gardeners” that they don’t even notice the shite they are being fed. My interest in hanging out with them in their dark, dark spaces is rapidly waning. Sad, really.

Bradley Lewis's avatar

And who exactly were the terrorists of that event? Iran was on the list of the 7 countries to topple in the aftermath of that "terrorist" attack. The perpetrators' aim (one of them) was to terrorize the U.S. (and frankly global) citizens in order to try to get a green light to reshape the ME to their will, though they still never actually got that green light for Iraq but went ahead with it anyway with catastrophic results.

Steven Bradford's avatar

If I didn’t know anything about the situation in Iran, seeing Iranian’s around the world dancing in the street is all I would need to know in order to make up my mind about whether it was the right thing to do.

Mindy's avatar

If a foreign government took out Trump, leftists would be dancing in the street.

Steven Bradford's avatar

Who gives a crap about what leftists think. they are myopic world class idiots and everyone knows it.

Marjolein's avatar

I don't think that's what Mindy meant. I believe she meant that there can always be pictures of people dancing in the street once a leader is taken out. That doesn't mean the whole population agrees.

There's usually no black and white in these matters.

Mindy's avatar

Yep, that's what I was going for. Thank you for explaining it with better clarity.

Bradley Lewis's avatar

It was obvious what your point was to me-- the problem is the emotional reactionism that the divide & conquer tactics have successfully cultivated. It was a very good point that people need to understand.

Steven, Except them

Mindy's avatar

To the leftists, you're a myopic world class idiot. The point is, there are many different viewpoints. In Iran there are people celebrating, people mourning, people seething, people who just don't know what to think, and people feeling all combinations of the above and then some. It is natural to grasp the images of whatever supports your prexisting view, but it's important to understand that that isn't the whole story if you want to get to the truth rather than just looking to soothe your own conscience.

Every bad thing that has happened to Iran since the end of WW2, the wars, the dictators, the oppression, the invasions, the Mullahs, has all been orchestrated and manipulated by City of London, using their private military force, the U.S.

All because Iran kicked British Petroleum out of Iranian oil fields after WW2. So City of London, the financial headquarters of the Evil, had the U.S. overthrow that Iranian government and gave Iraq everything it needed to invade Iran. Forcing decades of war and oppression onto the Iranian people.

British Petroleum is coming for Iranian oil. And when the Iranians started building weapons, Trump imposed sanctions on them.

And when they persisted Trump bombed them.

Larry Johnson did a good outline titled:

"Iran Does Not Hate Americans… But it Has Legitimate Reasons to Do So"

Who has nuclear military powers, but has not used them to strike terror?

Russia

China

North Korea

Pakistan

Saudia Arabia

Some would like to suggest that Iran has no right to have nuclear because they are evil. When was the last time they attacked another country (unprovoked or as an act of aggression)?

Most, if not all, wars are called bankers wars for a reason. It's always about money, power and control of financial systems. Iran, North Korea, etc. have their own banking and financial systems and the PTB are not fans of that. Venezuela and Iran are two financially rich (natural resources) countries that threaten(ed) the global currency system and its ties to oil. Without 100% control, chaos continues.

Thus, that might have something to do with why we're here.

End of the day, forget rules, laws, negotiations, treaties, etc., power (military might) rules.

Kay's avatar

According to Promethean Action, Trump is in the process of dismantling City of London control. That’s why people are talking about the end of our “special relationship” with GB. And that’s why everyone is so upset about Iran.

Occam's avatar

I'd add that all of the talking points I've heard from the right in supporting unprovoked attacks of Iran are straight from the administration.

- Iranians want a different govt

- Iran has a nuclear weapon or will any minute

- authoritarian government

Crazy to trust our government for the truth in this when they've been lying to us for decades. I've yet to see Iranian terror squads or them attacking other countries like our allies do.

I'm not down with these attacks on other, sovereign countries without more proof.

Stone Bryson's avatar

As pretty much always, I am largely on the same page as you here. I did not support the war beforehand, did not think it was any of our business, and was angry that Trump was once again ignoring 'Americans First'. But I see the Left (and anti-war Right) mourning the death of a murderous monster, see the Iranians celebrating in the streets, and think to myself...

... damned, maybe I was wrong. I hope I was, and hope this results in something amazing. Time will tell...

Janet's avatar

SOTU revealed these heartless, addled giant POS (plural) for the world to see. The twisted ugly screaming maw of that rep squatting next to the other squatter in MY country says volumes. Their support of universe class murderous dictators should be the nail, but like vampires, they rise up still. Get out and vote in primaries and November like your lives depend on it-and it certainly does. Do we really want these monsters back?

Lori's avatar

Have your stakes and the hammers ready to insert into the vampires.

Life tends to be more complex than "right" and "wrong". No doubt there are many perspectives. Murdering other humans has always seemed wrong to me, but humanity still seems quite intent on violence against each other.

I'm not there, I haven't had the security and intelligence briefings that the President has had. So rather than pass judgement, I'm more inclined to watch and see what develops.

Conservatives who hate war need to know there is a soldier’s prayer in Psalms— in the word of God, you know, the bible. I’ll find it shortly. I think it’s Ps. 122. It goes something like, “Teach my hands to war and my fingers to fight.”

But what Trump did isn’t a war. It’s an act of mercy. He’s surgically plucked out the head terrorist of the world and killed him. We are not doing any type of “forever war” nor hanging around rebuilding what we just bombed.

Are y’all not happy we had a civil war and the south lost? I’m from the south and I’m glad we lost!

Are you not happy we broke from England? It took a war, kids! We just didn’t knock on the castle door and say, “We’re good. We don’t like how you rule and take all our taxes and stuff, so we want you to leave us alone, now, King. Thanks for the memories.”

I hate war. Most everyone does.

I hate surgery too, but If I have a tumor, I’m not clinging to hating surgery. I’m having that tumor plucked out.

Absolutely! Agree or disagree... Jenna makes the news interesting and thought provoking.

I read yesterday that the Iranians themselves are responsible for the bombing of the school...from several sources on X but don't remember who...and I totally agree with your assessment. I have many Iranian friends here in the US. There's a whole colony of them in Orange County CA where I used to live and they are all ecstatic that this happened, just like their brothers and sisters in Iran.

Curtis's avatar

I saw that too.

The Iranian Terror Regime was just pushed over the cliff. The People of Persia will hopefully take their country back. Lasting peace in the Middle East is now possible. The CCP is running out of gas (literally). The Courageous and the Righteous are taking down the Global Bullies. Team Humanity is scoring major wins.

Kudos to Joe for having the courage to save a man from a savage beating, and possibly death, as well as possibly making his wife a widow and any children orphans. And having the presence of mind to put the attacker back in his car without resorting to becoming labeled an attacker himself.

We've talked about that day a million times and he always insists he'd do it again every time. (I like to think he wasn't really thinking, just acting reflexively... but nope. It was a conscious 'I NEED TO STOP THIS.' I love that about him, unless it gets him killed. ;)

Justin's avatar

Would you really want a husband that demonstrates that he won't stand up to what's wrong?

I have jumped into a few incidents when nobody else would. One was a younger guy with obvious mental issues being chased down by a band of black youths. It just took someone standing up to them in the train aisle to stop them - I blocked them in to the narrow aisle leaving me to face one person. But the chased kid got off at the next stop and ran. The youths took off after him via a rear door even bowling over a black man who also tried to intervene.

The other time it was a woman who inadvertently rode her bike past an obstruction and right into the side of the train, tearing a big hole in her leg. Everyone else stayed on the train and I jumped off to see if I could help, having had some rudimentary emergency medical skills. Thankfully, employees of the train company arrived soon and took over.

One that REALLY chaps my hide is confronting a young punk who was blasting his music on the light rail, and I asked him to turn it off. He escalated it, and so did I. Seeing nobody else saying anything, I backed off. When the kid got off the train a few stops later, a number of people piped up, "We were supportive of you." I shot back, "Where the hell was your support when I needed it?" My desire was to have a number of people join me, hopefully encouraging the kid to turn off the music. Barring that, I was going to ask them to help me get the young man off the train.

People think they're helping when they whip out their phones hoping to get some action shots.... We've become too much of a spectator society, lacking courage to step up when needed. And other people see that and feel that they're alone to deal with things.

Sooooo true!!! 💪

Trump promised that he wouldn’t allow the Mullahs to obtain a nuclear weapon. The Mullahs were clearly not negotiating an end to their nuclear policy, but just delaying so they could continue their nuclear weapon program.

Let’s consider that the Mullahs have been at war with the US since 1979. They call us the Great Satan and lead their people in chants of “Death to America”. Anyone who argues that this is just posturing is a fool. The evidence?

* Bombing of the Embassy and Marine Barracks in Beirut in 1983

* Bombing of Khobar Towers in 1996

* Bombing of US Embassies in East Africa in 1998

* Multiple attacks on US troops in Iraq and Syria from 2003 to today, including the 10/7/23 attacks in Israel

* Multiple assassination attempts against US Officials and allied dignitaries in the US.

* And many more.

So, is this starting a “forever war” or ending one? Is it a war to replace a regime we don’t like or one to terminate a threat to the country? I think its ending a forever war and ending a threat the US and her citizens.

Totally spot on, Jenna! Nobody likes dealing with the bullies in the schoolyard, but I'm thankful we have a leader who has no tolerance for it and takes needed action. Yes, ugly, but necessary to stop the madness.

Cindi's avatar

I agree w/ your take, Jenna. Delighted that the ayatollah & many of his minions are dead & munitions wiped out, happy for oppressed Iranians. Only concerns are our own blood & treasure AND what is surely hundreds if not thousands of sleeper cells welcomed into the US by FJB. The nightclub slaughter in Austin, as an initial example.

FLGenX's avatar

I’m concerned about the US-based sleeper cells as well

The best part of all the Iranian celebration videos over the weekend was that there were not only Iranian flags, but American and even Israeli flags. I know some people on here think the Israeli government is the root of all evil, but the Israeli people know how much of a threat the Iranian regime was to their existence. I think it’s great.

MartyB's avatar

Hard to justify anyone supporting the Iranian regime on any grounds. Once again the libtards are gonna take the 20% side of this issue. And any mention of Epstein strikes me as TDS. Is that guy ever going to die?
