I will say that anyone thinking or hoping that Trump is a divine hero is probably also destined for disappointment. He’s just a human like everyone else, who makes mistakes and has flaws. I think the most we can/should hope for is that he is a somewhat decent human being who actually does love this country and the freedom and liberty upon which it was founded.

Absolutely no one would have guessed that he would come in and take a wrecking ball to the bureaucracy within practically minutes of taking office, but I’m sure that was just so we will be lulled into thinking he’s not part of the Deep State. As always, time will tell.

In reading Substack comments in the last few days, it strikes me that people seem to need to be able to state DEFINITIVELY what's going on right now. They need to nail down reality. That seems especially impossible now that Trump is at the helm. To me, Trump is more like a cloud than a set of philosophically consistent intentions. I guess our society is experiencing quantum indeterminacy--and not liking it one bit!
