Fact is, a President has to do a few unpopular "tough" things to remedy the problems that got him/her elected. Biden and his cabinet left a monumental mess to clean up, not the least closing a wide-open border and finding and deporting all the illegal aliens, especially the criminal types who poured into America for four years. Trump also had to undo the Woke agenda that infected the American military so it could actually function as a deterrent around the world, rather than as a comedy show. I can go on. Some of what Trump had to do was going to piss off some people. Too fucking bad. It is more important to fix the country than keep everyone happy. I picked up our landline and responded to polls for years and at some point one of them asked if Id like to be part of their online polling by invitation only list, so I gave them my email and have been getting a survey maybe three or four times a year since before covid. It's been interesting, you can see what the elites are worried about by the questions in each one and that they're trying to gauge how effective the scare tactics have been.
Two points. First, I live in Ohio and I've heard it said they love polling Ohio because its a microcosm of the entire country, and seems to have some representation from every type all in one area. Second, I answered polls on a landline. I recall someone saying years ago that polls often skew toward older Americans due to the tendency to poll landlines only. Not sure if that changed, but landlines and cell phones do have different legalities about them.
