Where I live, having a special needs child is like wearing a badge of honor. I agree with you and the parents that loving your child is unconditional. Regardless of their trials and shortcomings. But that parental "badge of honor" is to shield the parent not to help the child. We owe it to our children to strive for the best environment for their growth and happiness. Including finding the causes and a solution to autism.
Totally true. My daughter of a child injured, I’m sure, by the HPV at 10, when suddenly my granddaughter was suffering a brain injury, will never acknowledge what probably happened because she took her in for that vaccine. My daughter is a fantastic mother but along with that, they acquiesced to the trans evil that preys on such children. We never talk about any of this, but I dread the time she may realize a few facts. I love an support my grandchild but I’m not the parents.
Perfectly put Jenna. A double edged sword of concern for many parents of disabled kids is who cares for them if they outlive the parent? It’s a heartbreaking worry to have - we all want our kids to outlive us. Part of unraveling the causes of this epidemic is to protect future children & families from enduring the real hardships of lives not able to be fully lived. Yes, accept & love your child with all your heart & soul, but what is this desire to elevate & celebrate their disabilities, whatever they are? #1 goal would be to simultaneously love & care for any afflicted child while working tirelessly to put an end to the causes of so much suffering. As a starting point, the current US childhood vaccine schedule needs to change, dramatically- I believe that’s coming. For example, Studies show that Japan seems to have almost eliminated SIDS by waiting to vaccinate until the child is 2 years old. That would be a start while the promised scientific safety studies are done.
A friend has a son, A, with profound autism, who at almost 40, is minimally verbal, totally incontinent since age 5, and has to be medicated so that he does not physically abuse his elderly parents. His older brother and wife with two young children have been assigned to take over the care of A in the event of his parents’ death. My heart breaks for this family.
But it’s a start. RFK promised pure scientific safety studies on all vaccines. That’s going to take time. Immediately dismantling the prep act & having the option to wait on vaccinations without penalty is a start. Pharma / US healthcare is such a deeply layered corrupt world that it’s going to take more time than we want ( if ever) to dismantle. Now is our best opportunity.
Also note that transing one's child is or was a badge of honor... they were celebrated in magazines such as The Atlantic and featured in Ted Talks. So, lots of reward for this sort of thing. Of course, the trans thing is something foisted on a kid, where autism is permanent and a physical issue. But still.
Do you think that many of those badges of honor are worn by “munchy” moms? I recently watched a video of Jazz Jenkins mom who seemed to be all about making her son’s mental illness all about her.
Jazz Jennings' mother is beyond Munchausen's. That woman is a flat-out monster. The kid was just a normal little boy - but Jeanette decided that at 5 years old Jazz was trapped in a male body, and she and her wimp-ass husband decided to "trans" him. But not just trans him, make him the center of the trans movement, documented through a reality show that covered all of the ABSOLUTE TORTURE they put him through. Meanwhile, America clapped and smiled, and talked about how Stunning and Brave (tm) Jeanette was.
Which is of course what she was craving, along with all the $$.
By 2023, Jazz had gained 100 lbs and was the most unhappy young adult on the planet, suffering from massive depression and other stuff. He regretted his transition, like most of them do, but that doesn't really sell anything. I will guess though, that when it gets popular enough for people to gobble up detransitioner stories, then that will become the new rage of TV series for everyone to consume. I doubt Jeanette will make bank off that, but maybe she will.
Jeanette bragged about the forced rape of her son on a regular basis, via "dilation" of his private parts (the fake vag they forced him to get after they castrated him).
Sadly, most people think she's a good mother. I see something demonic from the depths of hell, because how could a normal person do this to their kid... but you know, my opinion's not popular.
I had never seen the Jazz tv show but someone linked me to a short video of the mom waiting at a hospital while surgery to repair the Jazz's fake vagina (which had exploded or something equally gross). You are absolutely right: she is a monster. You can see it in her eyes, just the like a real life Dr. Frankenstein who has created a human being who is also a monster in his own way. In a sane country, she'd be in prison or in a mental institution, along with the doctors and anyone else who thought this was a good idea. Your view on this, Mary, is being vindicated although it has taken much too long. People stayed quiet far too long and made concessions which led to more concessions until finally the trans activists and their munchy moms had the microphone.
I was yelling about it 9 years ago... sigh. Yeah, it's just grotesque, all of it. Nice comparison to Frankenstein! She did create a little monster in her own image, didn't she? Well, attempted...
Two weeks ago, at a funeral, I ran into our former academic dean who in the course of saying hello after 5 years told me that trans women are actually women, although they should not be permitted in women's sports. I stopped in my tracks and turned to face him as we were walking from the church sanctuary to the social hall for a reception with the deceased's family and I said, "Are you serious? In that case, we have nothing at all to talk about. Have a good life." And I walked away. He looked stunned. What he fails to understand is that the country never should have made any concessions at all to the trans madness, because if you somehow come to believe that trans women are indeed women, then don't you necessarily also have to believe that they can participate in women's sports? This experiment in evil should have been stopped in its tracks on Day 1. I suspect that my former dean will eventually conclude that they should be permitted into women's sports. I don't know if you saw Turfseer's Substack. It was about the writings of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and our "highly educated idiots." https://substack.com/home/post/p-168970340
Right? Tortured, abused, on national TV while the country cheered. It makes me literally ill. There were many of us calling it out for what it was way back when. We were called TERFs, bigots, transphobes and fascists.
When my younger daughter was in Kindergarten, there were two boys in her class who had their nails painted and one little boy often wore a costume tutu over his clothes to school. They were not dressed in girls clothing. They were loved and accepted by the other children and in middle school it was clear they were gay. Not transgender. Gay. And so what. They evolved organically without POLITICAL interference.
It disgusts me to learn that this child, JJ, was exploited this way.
When I initially read that he was 5 when they did this to him and saw his photo , my first thought was “suicide.” He’s going to end up as a suicide. I hope I’m wrong. That article you posted is devastating. It pains me to consider what he might be feeling like… toxic drugs, 100 pound weight gain, emotional isolation, and parents who made a life changing decision about his life and never gave him a chance to know what he might have wanted.
It's not a "her," he's a "He." A male. And now a man. There is no such thing as a man becoming a woman. It's an insult to women whenever someone calls a man a "she." Please don't enable their agenda by doing that.
I could have gone my whole life never hearing about this evil, atrocious “mother”. I’m so very sorry that there are so many people who would watch and support something like this…it’s frightening, really. I live in a bit of a bubble,I guess, because, knowing this is “mainstream entertainment”, really does unnerve me. Praying for the innocent!🙏
Also,Jenna’s stack,today,is right on the money,imho.
I submit that James is being disingenuous in his article, and started w the premise that RFK is the devil and wrote a heartrending account of his child to make an emotional argument.
This is how these people are, from Pelosi and Schumer to James here. Take a position, usually politically-based, and construct an emotional plea to argue it. We see it w immigration, trans, education and everything else.
This guy isn’t the idiot, his readers are being suckered.
It’s almost as if he is a bot hired by big Pharma to justify what they do to children, gaslighting the rest of us into thinking it will all be OK if we just love. James is lying to himself
Ok fine, I'll say the part outloud that James is ignoring (i.e., leaving out for his readers so that they will be effectively suckered.): While James is alive, Lucas will be loved and cared for by someone he trusts. When James dies, Lucas' life will change irrevocably and horribly. James is living a fairy tale now, enjoying his wonderful son. The fairy tale will not end well.
It’s his survival mode. We all have them in some way or another. His private thoughts are unknown. We do, think and say things from the part of our brains that wants to shield us from danger or inner emotional pain but often adds other pain to distract. I’ve read much on that. This ability for our brains to do that is why so much inexplicable physical pain is around—in disease, back pain, etc and frankly, the medical system preys on. We should wonder if James is suffering from physical pain somewhere. My daughter gained 100 pounds after that. There is much research on this. I do feel sorry for James. His child is blessed.
Here’s the real problem. We know, beyond the shadow of any reasonable doubt, exactly what causes autism…
My stepfather was special ed coordinator for a school district in Vermont for 30 years. When he started, no such thing as autism. In 1984 the standard vaccine schedule was established with 5 vaccines, all traditional killed or attenuated cultures. My stepfather witnessed in real time, autism rise magically in direct relationship , with the increase in both “recommended” and “required” vaccinations. I know people will take it easy on the father in the article, I will not… his stupidity, complicity and self deception are an act of violence against all children, now and in the future. The battle lines are drawn bro, you may wish ill on other’s children, but I do not, I’ll fight to protect them until someone kills me for it.
I'd just caveat that with "causes _most_ autism". I know parents of unvaccinated kids that are Autistic.
The trouble is, Autism is like a headache. It's just a name for a symptom (a collection of symptoms in the case of Autism). It's not like a Strep infection or a broken leg. It's a clinical diagnosis.
Why is it like a headache?
"Doctor, my head hurts"
"Ah, we call that a 'headache'"
"Oh! I'm so relieved to know what it is!"
Uh... no. You know what it's called, not what it is.
Except that with a headache, the doctor might (might) attempt to establish root-cause before reaching for their prescription pad: Dehydration? Stress? A blow to the head? A brain tumour??
Unlike Autism where they would say not to try to research it as it "can't be cured" and hand you a leaflet with a rainbow about "Acceptance". 😠
I think it's brain poisoning that one can't recover fully from and yes, those poisons can come from many sources. Industrial waste, pesticides (which are rampant), sprayed food, etc.
Agree 💯 The common things we do without thinking, assuming it's okay because we trust the medical system and its professionals. Not anymore. You have to question everything! Start with the position it will cause harm and work back from that. I firmly believe avoiding the current medical, dental and veterinary is your safest bet. Do your due diligence and speak with a homeopathic or naturpathic professional. Just say no!
Ummm… and a caveat to your caveat is that in my homeschool community, in 30 years, every vaccine injury story is the same. Well baby visit, fever, high-pitched, screaming, followed by regression. My own doctor, a friend of my family, experienced and admitted this with his child. (did not vaccinate, baby number two!) Parents are even told that it’s normal to have the fever and the screaming after the shots. It’s literally the baby’s brain frying! The kids struggled in school or required special schooling and these courageous parents opted for homeschooling. I had 75 families in my homeschool ski group. None of the unvaccinated children had any issues. For those with the developmental delays, it was always following vaccination.
One thing you have to really be careful about, big pharma and their minions are spending literally billions of dollars to stifle this information. They know the algorithms of autism groups and go on these Facebook groups - and infiltrate the group just enough to cast doubt. That’s what Big tobacco did. When Rachel Carson proved the dangers of DDT that’s what was done. It doesn’t have to be forceful - just enough to make people question the facts. So while I trust what you’re seeing, I think in person real experience of people that I was with every week, would appear to be more legitimate than a Facebook group that could be easily infiltrated. Remember during Covid? If you even said the word vaccine you were banned. So obviously these groups are going to be infiltrated.
And to that end, I'd love a real definition of autism vs. human deficiencies and conditions that have always been around. When did "autism" get coined? What has happened to Asberger's, for instance? That was a thing, then autism seemed to overtake it. Some now say they are the same thing .
There is a BIG diff between a kid who's an idiot savant and one who can't speak or even function at all.
How do you prove you’re not a bot? I agree that most autistic people are pushed over the edge by the shots, but also my unvaccinated child is lined up for an autism assessment next month. Dunno how I can convince someone that I’m not a pharma plant, though. 🤷♀️
I wonder how many parents label (without an official diagnosis - not that those mean much either) their "difficult" child (which have always existed) as "autistic." I mean, my sister decided her son was schizophrenic, a couple of years later she decided he was bipolar. Then just lazy and narcissistic.
“I know parents of unvaccinated kids that are Autistic.”
This is also theorized to be the case because of the mother’s exposure to contamination, since it is known that women “dump” toxins into their children in the creation process, with special consideration to those toxins that are linked to calcium (lead, glyphosate, etc). So, if the mother was vaccinated or exposed to a lot of toxins, the child will receive a share.
100% medical fact that baby 'detoxes' mom. MY son got big dose of mercury from MY amalgam fillings. I had chronic Crohn's disease at the time and guess what?? while pregnant with him it went 'poof', all gone! MY disease state magically disappeared and then my son 'tipped' into autism after 18 month shots. (multifactorial - I cannot stress that enough)
There’s lots of evidence linking the use of “Tylenol “ Acetaminophen with being a cause of autism. Quite often vaccines will create a fever, and parents are instructed to give acetaminophen. Now several researchers and studies have untangled the two, and have discovered Acetaminophen by itself can be poisonous to some. Given together, vaccines and acetaminophen, and you just double dosed your child with potential harm. We demand answers for cancer, muscular dystrophy, SIDS, and other childhood diseases. Of course we want answers to the Autism epidemic.
Common contaminants can be adjusted as well, but putting them directly into the bloodstream with a needle is far more effective. The toxicity of nano particulate aluminum is vastly overlooked on purpose. That’s why they are filling the skies with it now as well.
Neurotoxicity… because it crosses the blood brain barrier and does not seem to leave readily, and it is present in so many aspects of our day-to-day life. It requires only that we don’t look at it from certain angles to continuous use being harmful. After nearly 2 decades, they’re admitting. Pfas might be dangerous, but in much the same regard, there will never be any significant study as to what damage it has done. Always remember nine out of 10 doctors recommend camel cigarettes.
Nine out of ten doctors are complete morons following "prescribed" idiotic protocols inculcated in Rockefeller (spawn of satan) propagandized (and funded) "higher" education institutions. What is an institution? " A custom or tradition that has existed for a long time and is accepted as an important part of a particular society."
And, who bloody well decided that "custom" or "tradition?"
Does your doctor question one thing they were spoon fed in this "higher" education institution? Hell, no!
Do you ask any questions of this doctor (quack!) when he/she says your tiny infant needs known toxins delivered directly into their bloodstream to protect them from eradicated diseases? Hmmm, NO!
I taught special education for 29 years. I’ve been retired for 15 years now. When I started teaching special education, we had intellectually impaired, from severely retarded to slow learner along with hearing impaired, visually impaired and blind, physically impaired, emotionally disturbed, then learning disabled was added to the categories. Eventually, the intellectually impaired population was lumped into the autism spectrum as parents were more comfortable labeling their child autistic rather than the unpopular label of mental retardation. For children who are severely autistic, there is a huge overlap with the characteristics of mental retardation. By adding the quirky, goofy, socially awkward child to the autism label further complicates things. The child who barely qualifies as autistic will have a completely different adult life from the child who is non verbal and still wears diapers that someone else has to change. We have a family member with a genetic trait that is instantly recognizable along with profound hearing loss. Do we love him and find him perfect? Of course, we do. He’s well liked by his peers and has many gifts that will enhance his life. He’s a good student following the regular curriculum in high school. But would his life be easier if his genetics were different? Yes. Did my heart ever break for some of my students? It did, but like other special education teachers I sucked it up and did my best to be sure each child was learning and performing at grade level or above.
cause(s) is multifactorial. we have many in our community that have effected children who were never vaccinated, (many being siblings of previously dx). can't escape the fact that we live in a toxic soup and its only getting worse.
You can search out other possible causes, but there’s clearly a preponderance of cases that moms saw immediately after a round of vaccinations. Until proven otherwise, that holds the #1 causal link, no question in my mind. And I’ve seen far too many vaccine damaged animals that supports my stance. Marc speaks truth here: “beyond the shadow of a doubt. “
I would amend that thought to “contributes to,” or “is the cause of much” autism; sadly witnessed institutionalized autistic children back in the 1960s, and they hadn’t been vaccinated (at least partially because they were too disabled for school(.
This is so dead on, Jenna. Written so logically as well as lovingly. Love and logic…also not mutually exclusive.
I have several friends with autistic children who make posts very similar to James’s.
They went absolutely apoplectic over RFK Jr’s speech where he mentioned many autistic children are not high functioning and must have help with dressing, eating and personal hygiene.
I also have a friend whose toddler developed autism within a week of the MMR vaccine. She has fought like hell for the past 20+ years including testifying before congress. RFK Jr. is her hero.
Thanks for all you do in this fight. You have made such a difference and are continuing to do so. 💛
I couldn’t agree with you more on this topic. I know parents with autistic children and all of them love their child unconditionally. And I do know they would have preferred not to walk this path. They are accepting what is in front of them and grieve the child’s life of what could have been. It doesn’t diminish the love they have for their child.
And let's not forget that there are many, many parents who cannot deal with their child's autism and do not love them unconditionally, such as Shanda Van Ark. We have no idea how many Shandas are out there, but I'd venture to suggest an abused autistic kid has basically no way to fight back in most cases, whereas a child without it might somehow survive an abusive childhood.
A few months back there was a similar push against RFK and vaccine testing, written by a young woman with autism. She married an autistic man and they are “perfectly happy” and in love. They both work low paying jobs and life is good. The gist of that article was the same as the story of James and his son.
She feels insulted that RFK or anyone would consider autism as an undesirable condition. My response was, that’s wonderful that you and your husband are highly functioning with autism but have you considered the massive number of children who will never be capable of independent living and their families?
With September around the corner and school vaccines at risk, we’re going to be inundated with gaslighting.
my son with autism doesn't even understand what 'friends' are, let alone fall in love, marry, have children. his life was ROBBED from him. period. so these folks (the high functioning who are oh so vocal with their being 'insulted') have NO right to speak for the entire community under such a large umbrella of dx.
The people who are actually trying to end this sad condition are being attacked and vilified for trying to reduce or eliminate mass suffering. That is messed up.
I saw a similar editorial somewhere and the punchback from another parent of an autistic child was glorious. Wish I had saved it. Her autistic son was verbal, violent, and had put her in the hospital twice as a 6' teen. James fits the mold of the classic D - leading with emotion, not facts.
Facts are, the cases of autism ARE growing. I don't think it's just that we got better at diagnosing it. I grew up reading Reader's Digest, and remember a story from my Jr high ish era (late 70's) about a mom with a autistic child. It was heartbreaking - the story of a child who was a prisoner of his own mind stuck with me. I didn't know of any child in my years of school with autism, or even know anyone with an autistic child until I hit my late 20's and discovered parenting bulletin boards online. My son was struggling to learn to read and the school was blaming ADD/pushing meds. I didn't buy it and went down many rabbit holes and started learning about the spectrum of autism/aspbergers/SID (sensory integration disorder) By the early 2000's, the bulletin boards around learning disorders had been taken over by the autism spectrum parents to the point that I just bailed. I do think my son has a version of SID - super picky eater-strong gag reflex, didn't like loud sounds, hated tags in clothes and rocks when deep in thought, but had nothing to do with learning to read. He managed to muddle through with a lot of help and fights over reading curriculum with the SD, took him 6 years to get through college-got a plastics engineering degree (despite gen eds that required a lot of reading almost being his nemesis) and a super organized wife who tolerates his food pickiness, lol.
The boards were split on the 'vaxes cause autism' narrative, and I wasn't ready to buy it at the time. But looking back that was probably in the mix for my son. Wasn't until a neighbor's daughter had a child who had an extreme vax reaction (seizures, non stop crying) that I 'got religion' on the issue about 10 years ago. My daughter got the same shots and had none of the issues, so think there is genetics in the mix, but bottom line, the vetting on these products has been corrupt from the get-go, and wish I knew then what I know now. Never would have gotten them vaxed.
James' son may trust him, but James will not live forever. School district budgets are ballooning, with the number of paras needed, special programs and IEPs/504s have spawned their own growing number of administrators. When they are out of the school district, disability payments, public resources, and so on are contributing to more and more taxpayer funded 'solutions' as they become adult aged. Having a portion of society checked out should not be a goal. Of course we love our kids and will move heaven and earth for them, but the ultimate goal of parenthood is seeing them leave the nest. Many of these kids never will.
So sad. I dug into the data while arguing with someone over the immigration/jobs for Americans issue. There is a legit concern that if we get rid of all of the illegals and H1B visas that we will have too many unfilled openings. 11% of males age 18-54 (prime working age) are NOT in the workforce, the highest rate since they started collecting this data in the 50's. Yeah some are in college, or stay at home dads, lazy and living at home, or disabled (although disability is kind of a question mark since we have the ADA - my son in law is technically disabled due to the effects of meningitis as a child that affected the muscles in his legs so can't stand for long periods, his employers have all accommodated that) But have to wonder how many of this 11% ARE truly not able to work due to the effects of God knows what including those institutionalized.
"super picky eater-strong gag reflex, didn't like loud sounds, hated tags in clothes and rocks when deep in thought, but had nothing to do with learning to read. "
OMG this is my son. As a toddler, any loud sound resulted in him putting his hands over his ears and yelling "too wah-wah" (his words for "too loud"). He HATED fireworks, fire trucks, etc. At 16, he HATES reading, dreads it. Takes weeks to finish his summer reading for school (he had to read Of Mice and Men this year). He's thinking of going into engineering because math comes so easily to him. He no longer rocks (he did it when he was upset about something) but he gets very easily frustrated when things don't come easily to him. He was on Singulair/Montelukast for 15 years and that wreaked havoc on his brain (a black box warning was put the drug in 2020, so it slipped by most people's radar. IMO, it's a mind-altering "allergy/asthma" drug that needs to be pulled from the market. We stopped it cold turkey when we found out about the warning and he went through months of withdrawal. When it was prescribed, we were told there were zero side effects. My daughter was also on it for 20 years. She had all sorts of anxiety issues that have basically disappeared since she got over her withdrawal from taking this horrible medicine). My son was never diagnosed with SID and I don't know if his reactions were strong enough to even bring about a diagnosis, but when I read stuff like this, it brings me back to his toddler years. I'd give anything to NOT have him had gone through all of that. And I totally blame myself for letting him take Singulair for 15 years (my daughter too). God only knows how the vaccines interacted with that.
Well I am not sure there even WAS a formal dx for SID back then. After trying every dietary intervention and suggestion from the mom groups nothing really worked and did give up and tried the ADHD meds for a couple of years but one, didn't move the needle on his struggle to read, and two, said it made him feel like he was 'not himself'. Had him tested by 2 different places for dyslexia but both came back negative. But got a packet from the International Dyslexia assn and many of the symptoms were a fit to a T for him. Re the SID - He still rocks, still picky about food but grew out of the clothing pickiness and the aversion to loud sounds (loves going to concerts) but still always wears sunglasses whenever outside as he says too much sun hurts his eyes. (forgot to mention that one earlier)
He can read and spell passably, but not something he relishes, works as a production manager in a plastics plant and says he would never take a desk job. So he's managed to overcome his deficiencies and find his way. But I did apologize to him for getting him vaxxed while pleading for him to not take the covid shots. He ignored me though as he was getting married and had booked a cruise in 2021 for the honeymoon and if he didn't get the shots he would have to stay on the boat and wear a mask the whole time. Not required by his employer either. Sigh. At least he didn't get any boosters and far as I know no side effects. And he's a Trump supporter unlike my lefty daughter so there's that. lol.
My niece took the covid shots in order to go on a honeymoon in 2021 as well. Today she's battling breast cancer at 34 years old. :(
I'm glad he's been so successful. My son has also said repeatedly that he doesn't want a desk job (as he sits playing computer games for hours. Make it make sense) and we've told him about people like your son who get engineering degrees but don't sit and design all day. He may end up doing something similar!
I actually tried to push him into a community college 2 year program for manufacturing tech (I ran a manufacturing org as a side gig for 11 years and there is big time need for young people to go into the profession as too many of them do want to be influencers or desk jockies where they can 'work from home') But all of his friends were going to 4 year colleges and he was super impressed with the plastics engineering program at Pittsburg (KS) State when we toured there his jr year. It's very hands on with a lot of labs. He did spend 2 years at home going to CC for his gen eds to save $ (he didn't want debt - we had a 529 but was not enough to cover it all) but he was not doing well, dropping classes and such and we had a 'come to Jesus' meeting. He was working as a manger at Sonic (and would pick up extra shifts to avoid having to study) so hubby and I told him he had 3 options: Move out and live on what you make at Sonic, join the military or go to Pitt. (CC's didn't offer plastics program and Pitt is one of the top programs in the country) He opted for the 3rd option and after a rocky start buckled down and got the degree. Met his now wife a year in, who was on academic scholarship and pushed him to study which was the kick in tail he needed. Got all A's and B's on classes in his major. Worked 2 jobs and only ended up with a loan for his last semester so am really proud of him for battling his shortcomings and prevailing. But there were days I had my doubts for sure.
Just sayin, it's a project for sure, but there's plenty of academically gifted kids who squander the advantageous hand they were dealt and get worthless degrees and have entitled attitudes. My son had to work hard for everything and it made him a stronger person in the end.
AND - my son was only one of 6 graduates the semester he graduated with his degree and there were THIRTY employers who showed up at the career fair looking to hire them. They offer a variety of manufacturing and construction related degrees and all of them are this way - more recruiters than grads.
Granted, may be a function of where we live - manufacturing is a decent % of our local/regional economy but employers in all the 'hands on' industries are always hiring.
My son was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome in 2nd grade. It helped explain why he was “weird” without doing much to provide that missing instruction manual. We coped with his issues as best we could, and he has grown into a fully functioning adult. Wouldn’t trade him for the world, but it certainly would have been a feature I would have unchecked on the factory order form. As an aside, my wife now periodically berates herself for listening to the pediatrician and following the childhood vaccine schedule.
Jenna, I saw this 30 years ago. My friend Carol and I were pregnant at the same time. At around a year or so old, after meeting all the developmental milestones, Carol’s baby, “Tina”, went for her “well baby” visit which included multiple shots. Afterwards - fever, high-pitched endless screaming… a disaster. But the saddest thing? She went back and got a second shot. And then everything changed. Development slowed and even regressed. Milestones not reached. Tina grew up with my daughter. She will never be independent, maybe 10 or 12 year old developmentally. As the damage became obvious, I said to my friend, “Do you think her developmental issues could be from the shots?” She got VERY angry and said, “No! The doctor said that had nothing to do with it!”
I knew that they just couldn’t face the reality of their choices. I never mentioned it again.
But Jenna, you hit the nail on the head. It truly is heartbreaking. I read “A shot in the Dark” when I was pregnant and chose not to vaccinate. But I have personally witnessed Tina‘s story repeated with other children and it’s enraging. Thank you for tackling this.
It’s just so painful, and so shocking to see people choosing to live in denial… if that were my child, I would NEED to know the truth. Even if it implicated me. I could forgive myself for believing a lie but not for perpetuating one…
I have not read the other comments but I immediately thought about the Thalidomide babies that were born without limbs. They were not loved any less but science rushed to find the cause and prevent more issues so the children would not have to deal with those issues. Many of the children grew into very successful individuals but they had to deal with so much more. I see the autism issue as the same scenario.
James is quite clearly lying to himself. He cannot help but look around and see normal children interacting with their fathers and feeling envy. Why would anyone choose autism for their child? The answer is they wouldn’t. He is making the best of a difficult situation, but to pretend he likes it is a lie.
Maybe he feels some sort of subconscious guilt like there’s some thing that he did to cause it and he’s trying to cover up that guilt with 1000% acceptance
He might feel that and his positive attitude is much better than despair or hopelessness. However, if he were given a pill that would cure his son’s autism, he would give it to him in a heartbeat, as would any parent, with a few Munchausen by proxy AWFL exceptions. And he also needs to stop vilifying people who are trying to understand and prevent autism, it isn’t a blessing.
Munchausen by proxy seems to be the other epidemic. Including those parents who are trans-ing their kids. Priorities of raising strong independent kids have gotten warped into people turning issues into an opportunity to virtue signal 24/7.
Agree 100%, James loves Lucas unconditionally which is like God loving us. There is nothing wrong with wanting something better without saying you don’t love him the way he is now. Lucas may need support for the rest of his life which will probably be longer than the years James has left. Praying for James and Lucas.
My son is the gift not the autism. Since now I know it was me and my decision to jab my son I have had to give myself grace and forgive myself. Instinct told me no but I did it anyway. I do though blame those who purposefully created this medical malfeasance starting in 1910. I’ve come to know, deeply believe and have created a career around this simply statement. “Our body is made perfect. It is not broken. It does not need to be fixed. Just loved.🥰 “. We’ve been given a lifetime to learn how to love our bodies, love the bodies we produce and love the environment we live in. It’s ok to feel sad and more appropriately MAD because it didn’t have to happen. Give grace and support to those who unknowingly got into this spider web. Fight against those who perpetuate this lie and educate those you know about the truth of this heinous act of vaccinations.
The continuation of this purposeful harm is pure insanity. Our children are the victims. They are innocent. They don’t deserve this. They just need to be loved.
Also: I do wonder about any parent who decides they know what's in their child's head (autism or not). Recall, "knowing" what the child is thinking led to many transing their gay (or not) children, because they "knew" that Johnny was really a girl.
Whatever disorder causes someone to project their wishes or feelings onto another human being seems to be a large part of the issue, and when it comes to autism, how in the hell would a parent who's not autistic "know" what his child is thinking or feeling? They don't.
I'm starting to believe there's some sort of Munchausen-by-proxy epidemic or offshoots of it. Fascinating time to be a psychologist, that's for sure.
So tragic.
Vaccinate the child after 2 YO.
Better still, never.
I suggest never.
I think that’s what they do in Japan….?
This must be an absolute gut-punch on so many levels for you all. I'm so sorry.
Story after story like yours and it is heartbreaking. I’m so sorry.
Badge of Honor Parent: "Dammit, our child is not autistic..... But we can still make it 'transgender'."
They need a sad emoji, cuz I can't "like" this statement but I can sure be sad in agreement with this statement.
LOL
Oh my god!! That poor child!!!!
I actually found a pretty good article about it all. Why this woman (Jeannette) isn't behind bars, is beyond me. No, wait, it's not: She had a LOT of help. Think of the producers, etc of the TV show.... all accomplices: https://allaboutthetea.com/2023/03/27/jazz-jennings-regrets-childhood-transitioning-fans-want-her-mother-charged-with-child-abuse/
Thanks for the link.
Oh. Haha! True. I guess after looking at the photo I wasn’t thinking. I’ll correct that.
*Maybe* he's lying to himself. He's certainly lying to his readers.
my comment exactly.
Yes, they make the argument an attack on their child.
1 in 40K became 1 in 40 pretty dang fast, yep. Gee, what was the common denominator?
It's so stupid we even have to fight about it, isn't it?
Yes, very stupid, but I’m gonna keep fighting anyway.
Good for you!
Jeanice Barcelo on Substack posits that ultrasounds can be the cause of autism as well. She may be onto something.
Oh that makes sense... sort of like how mamograms are also harmful.
I have refused mammograms and colonoscopies. I'm still here, somehow.
Yes, I'm not saying it's not the main cause but it's just not the only cause.
In a really big Facebook group I'm in, the question comes up now and then: Are there any kids that weren't vaccinated that have Autism?
And there are tons of replies from parents who knew not to vaccinate but nonetheless their kids developed Autism.
The incident of autism is rare in the Amish.
Exactly. Almost certainly because they don't vaccinate. But it's not unheard of even for them.
I'm curious to see if the Amish get pressured into using chemical pesticides and then what may happen to their 'rates'.
*sigh*
How do you prove you’re not a bot? I agree that most autistic people are pushed over the edge by the shots, but also my unvaccinated child is lined up for an autism assessment next month. Dunno how I can convince someone that I’m not a pharma plant, though. 🤷♀️
I wonder how many parents label (without an official diagnosis - not that those mean much either) their "difficult" child (which have always existed) as "autistic." I mean, my sister decided her son was schizophrenic, a couple of years later she decided he was bipolar. Then just lazy and narcissistic.
Without any formal diagnosis.
They try to normalize the crying, too, with the acronym PURPLE, and tell parents that it may sound like their baby is in pain, but it's really not.
https://www.whattoexpect.com/first-year/care/purple-crying
Horrible😡
Mercury exposures during gestational process. It's a thing.
100%
Hmmm, NO!
Nuf said!
This makes my blood boil and my hair on fire.
You and me both sister!
Great explanation, David.
cause(s) is multifactorial. we have many in our community that have effected children who were never vaccinated, (many being siblings of previously dx). can't escape the fact that we live in a toxic soup and its only getting worse.
Amen, Will🙏.

Many care for their severely autistic children until adulthood.
My son works as a Care aide in a small Christian "home-like" facility.
No children ever come in. Only adult "clients" who have parents. They arrive, once in a blue moon, to have a "cheerful" visit and leave quickly.
I can say that these clients are in GOOD hands, with my son.
I'm not sure what that has to do with my comment, but your son sounds nice.
He is nice.
I was replying to many comments.
Also: My son is Covid19 vaccines (Pfizer) injured. Unvaccinated prior to 2021.
Appropos of nothing I guess.
Another great commentary, Jenna. Thank you.
I can only imagine how challenging it is . We love our children with every cell in our bodies and witnessing them suffering is hell.
What was that you asked? It was hard to hear over the deafening roar of James' virtue signaling.
Ask the right question (you nailed it) “Who, if given an actual choice, would pick this life for their child?” and you debunk the gaslighting.
The people who are actually trying to end this sad condition are being attacked and vilified for trying to reduce or eliminate mass suffering. That is messed up.
🎯
James will not live forever.
Exactly.
And then who will his son have to trust? What will happen to Lucas then?
Many WILL leave the nest once they reach adulthood
They are institutionalized.
My son works in a small facility where residents are "severely autistic."
They are:
-Non verbal. (They can scream and grunt.)
-Non-ambulatory. (And all that this word entails.)
- Not in control of their bodily functions.
- Unable to chew food or swallow. (Medication, nutrition and fluids are provided via stomach tubes.)
"Just the facts James."
What an awesome success story!! Thanks for sharing that!
Just sayin, it's a project for sure, but there's plenty of academically gifted kids who squander the advantageous hand they were dealt and get worthless degrees and have entitled attitudes. My son had to work hard for everything and it made him a stronger person in the end.
Sorry about your niece, BTW. Way too many sad stories like hers.
AND - my son was only one of 6 graduates the semester he graduated with his degree and there were THIRTY employers who showed up at the career fair looking to hire them. They offer a variety of manufacturing and construction related degrees and all of them are this way - more recruiters than grads.
That's good to know! Thanks!
Thank you for the validation. I think most parents of a child with ANY "divergence" would say the same. XO

Yep.
I have no desire to live on the banks of a river in Egypt.
Just the FACTS ma'am!
Yes.
He is resigned to "the facts of life."
❤️
You said what has to be said, and with kindness.
