I have close friends who lost their house in Palisades, and two other families whose houses didn't burn but were so contaminated by toxic smoke, they have to be stripped to the studs. To say they're pissed is an understatement. But they don't live in LA so the vote is not theirs to cast for Pratt. Trust that they're agitating hard on his behalf however.

I lived in the western San Fernando Valley area. But that was over 40 years ago. I haven't been back there since 2011. I've actually enjoyed my time in California, except for the insanely unpredictable traffic. LA has a lot of variation from one area to the next. My view might be skewed because I was pretty much only in the nice areas. Still... California sounds like a horrible place to live now.

LA is blessed with phenomenal geography (well the earthquakes do disturb some people) but some of the dumbest politicians ever. The cost of living has been unaffordable there since the 1970s! I sure hope you like roommates because renting your own place is not financially possible!
