Yes! Bring back local photographers who don't report to a hedge fund!
Back when my two kids were in catholic school, just making tuition payments each month was hard enough, not to mention paying what might as well have have been a gazillion dollars for school pictures each year. Many years went by where we just had the proofs to be the school picture for that year. And my daughter graduated in 2015, so that was over a decade ago - can't imagine what the costs would be today.
Indeed - I assume those costs are astronomical now!
And I agree 100%! Bring back local photographers - heck, bring back local EVERYTHING. The only way we are ever going to send a message to these Globalist conglomerates is to stop giving them our money :-)
I’m a photographer. Professionally. Here’s something people don’t realize about Lifetouch. Any of these team photographer companies, really. Any portrait-studio-in-a-box. They hire “local photographers”.
The photography business is a cut throat race to the bottom and many give in to if-you-can’t-beat-them-join-them for minimum wage to set up gear and press the button.
There have been rumbles for a while now in the business community about the double edged sword. On the one hand, maybe it’s an opportunity to get back into the schools, who used to hire us before LT came in and undercut us and then put us in matching polo shirts to actually do the work. Like a defeated culture absorbed as serfs into the fiefdom.
On the other hand, it’s guilt by association for just showing up in the shirt to begin with.
Trust me, this has sent shockwaves through the entire industry. Even though we’ve been under scrutiny for a long time and used to it. Show up near a park with a camera? Better have an entourage and entire shoot stage set up or you WILL be asked questions. Sadly, that’s the world we’re living in.
During the “vid days, I was returning from Costco. My daughter saw the multipack of foil on the floorboard and quipped, “Oh, you are going to meet your friends?”😂
This is dark. As an aside, I wonder if picture day even makes sense anymore. These days people take countless photos of their kids every day. It used to be something that made sense in a previous century...
I can't get over thinking about how accidental Epstein's discovery all was: as I understand it, a fight between two high-school girls led to an investigation. What plagues me beyond that are thoughts that parallel "Othersteins" continue operating, benefiting even, from the obsession to perfectly understand the Epstein version.
Not for one minute do I believe that the elites have changed their spots and sworn off stalking for minors; instead, I think someone is still serving the insatiable, because hellish, demand--someone with better "process" and "leak-control."
You know what the real danger is here? Okay, I'll tell you. I'll call it the Bill-Clinton Effect: we get sooo tired of hearing about particular sordidries that, when the Next One inevitably arrives on the scene, as a society we are too spent to go after what amounts to Only the Latest slimer, and it all gets "normalized."
Western society used to have "mores," helped by a nearly universal belief in and practice of the teachings of Christianity. Those mores constituted a social "fabric" that kept everyone together and in line, and safe. As individuals' practice dropped off, the definition of--and acceptance--of "excess" moved further and further "out" until only the truly excessive could shock any longer. It's true what's been said that if you don't believe in anything you fall for everything. Hell (literally), we have "conditioned" ourselves to "tolerate" taking human lives in the womb and call it "choice."
Please, visible head of the Catholic Church (I know you rede Jenna's Side), for whom Christian civilization is both a heritage and the prime responsibility, step up, lay aside obscure and equivocal language, and do as you are admonished: "teach all nations." Make Christianity Normal Again.
[To my friends, both of you, I just wanted to let you know I'm going to try to take a break from "social media" for the six weeks of Lent, which starts tomorrow. Pray for me, as I do for you. I will sorely miss you. Lent is intended by the Church to be an annual opportunity for individuals to get a handle on things (paraphrasing). I didn't want to just disappear--although that's a real possibility too one of these days since my sole-source ISP has switched our rural line over to fiber-optic--using Bottomless Bidenbucks--and now expects a windfall monthly "gratitude profit" on top of that. I wonder just how addicted to "the internet" I have become. Have a profitable Lent all. And thanks for the good company.]
Maybe this is why scripture tells us not to even think of these evil things. It wrecks the mind and heart! Sin, for sure, is never satisfied. I’m sure your idea that others have picked up the “baton” is quite true.
If you return,it would be interesting to hear if you had “withdrawals “ when you signed off. Is it just the web,or,are you giving up movies,and/ or all media? Just curious.
A fair question: "all media" I think (he wrote, off-handedly, easily, as if he'd done it a thousand times--like Mark Twain admitting, about quitting smoking) because otherwise, I think, it would be like giving up chocolates for "just" all-other-sweets.
BTW, the answer to whether I had "withdrawals"--beginning tomorrow--is an emphatic yes-and-double-yes. It's really about giving up ya'll, i'n't 't? Or what I imagine is my "connections" to ya'll.
Not gone. Not midnight. :^) I've still got "my stuff" I need to get done which involves downloading data from the internet. And I'm old enough that "the phone" is not "media"; it's the phone for heaven's sake... The way _I_ imagine it is that I take some weeks off where _I_ imagine that "my" input is not as necessary as I _imagined_ it is... Be well, Tonee. I'll miss you for a nonce.
I had to look up what a “nonce” was..it is a very unusual word. None of the definitions seemed to fit ,except for maybe you meant “ a temporary moment “…?
I'm an empty nester, yet chose "homeschooling" in your poll. If I had kids at home now, that's what I would do for many reasons. This Lifetouch scandal is one reason among many.
I’m almost 70! Since I’m taking care of mom, long distance, I’m often wondering who’s going to take care of me! Dad died a few months ago and he did everything for her so it’s been especially hard.
Get into church. Find a good Sunday school class. Actively serve in both. I’m about to be 75 and my husband just turned 81. Our Sunday school class is the reason we aren’t considering moving to be close to my daughter and grands. We support each other in ways I don’t think my daughter could support us by herself.
My kids are in their 20s but had plenty of lifetouch photos at school.
What’s scary is a few years back there were lists identifying kids, to apparently be abducted, not by names I recall, but date of birth, zip codes, blood types, etc. Extremely concerning when you realize the only place that may have the blood types would be doctors/insurance companies.
When my girls were little they went to this summer camp called safety town that taught them about stranger danger and crossing the street safely… I thought it was such a great idea at the time. But as I was researching this I was thinking of the “identification kits“ that they gave us at the end with all of that Info and more… Jesus.🙈
Our kids went to something like that in the 90's but we kept the kits. Fingerprints, lock of hair and some other info that IF (God forbid) something happened we could give to the police. Ran across ours cleaning out a closet a couple of months ago.
Boy Scouts did that after some of the pedo scandals that nearly destroyed them. At the beginning of each handbook for the parent to discuss with their son as to inappropriate behavior.
My elementary school PE teacher was one of those leaders and the ski club chaperone who was abusing girls and boys. The parents and school board knew all this and somehow kept it quiet and eventually got rid of him. Which is sickening to me to have learned this decades later. Thank god I must have been an ugly child because I was spared this trauma.
This past summer I had to download an app, and provide id and credit card, probably names of the kids, to take my grandkids to a city-owned splash pad. They are probably tracking me now, and know I'm leaving this comment. 😱😮
that's nuts! for me personally, the minute I hear "download an app", or scan a QR code, I'm done. I say 'no thanks' and walk away. nothing would entice me to do that, not the discounts of 'digital coupons' at the local grocery store or that Zelle money sending stuff, not any of it. I'm 100% sure I am being tracked and collected upon anyway, but I'm not going agreeably. jmho
You know those extreamly great sales that are “digital coupons “? Well,I got frustrated and went to Safeway management and told them I don’t carry a cell(true) and,I want the same sale price. And,they give it to me…it might even be unlawful to deny it… IDK.
Oh,absolutely. It IS satisfying to “work” the system,a bit…and,SOME of the discounts are up to HALF off the regular price…at least at Safeway and Lucky…
This seems like a psychological operation to me for all the various reasons Jenna pointed out and more. Why is this going viral now? Why are all of these names being named but not justice is being served? I haven't looked through the latest dump myself because I can't stomach what others have been saying they have seen about how much evil there is. Has anyone else?
Big brother in the form of big tech and big government have been spying on Americans for decades, even before Edward Snowden blew the whistle. They have perfected their technologies to track and control us and now they are just waiting for the right time to push us over the edge with more fear and fake pandemics. You all saw the Ring Super Bowl commercial right? They are literally mocking us. We are their pets to monitor and control. How cute. https://youtu.be/OheUzrXsKrY
Your comment is on the mark. When I saw the Ring Super Bowl commercial I immediately saw the connection to human surveillance. If they can do it for dogs, they can do it for me. Isn’t that what RealID is all about?
Schools need to change their policies for yearbook photos. When I tried opting out of using the big company doing my daughter’s school pics I was told she wouldn’t be in the yearbook unless I used them. They didn’t allow you to submit your own photo for the yearbook. How silly. When I was in middle and high school the students used to design the yearbook (yearbook club) and could use any pictures they wanted to, so there really is no reason to not accept family submissions for the class photos. Except a LOT of school picture companies took over the printing the yearbooks too. It crushed all the creativity of the students.
I find that out of all the yearbooks I’ve had and my kids have had, the most interesting and fun ones to look through are those the students and parents created. Sure there were some mistakes but overall they were more personable and fun - that’s worth a mistake or two.
Not a can of worms, but truckloads of snakes, that man. Yesterday I read an article about one of the doctors who were at the autopsy, so I guess he is really dead. Before, I had my doubts.
I have no children, but I would not even let my dog alone with any of these people!
There’s a woman embalmer on YouTube who points out all the ways that the photo released was NOT a photo of a dead person…also, the CIA( and others,I’m sure) have such sophisticated masks and disguises that a businessman in suit/ tie/ briefcase can become a old, grey haired bag lady in slippers….while walking down the street, and in 15 steps! I saw the woman who was” retired”head of CIA disguise dept on YouTube, give a talk and demonstrate …I guess they WANT us to know we can’t believe our eyes..🤷🏻♀️
that was what I was considering. I saw an interview with a family member, I think his brother, but he too seemed rather vague. We have to use all our senses nowadays to confirm what our eyes see! Nothing in picture can be trusted anymore.
"Leon Black struck a multi-million dollar settlement with the government of the US Virgin Islands to avoid legal claims".
When the government profits from the crimes and not the victims, we have a problem. Same with taxing billionaires. That only makes the government complicit and doesn't solve the problem.
The government is supposed to prevent these things from happening, not cover it up for money.
"On the bright side, maybe this is a renaissance moment for local photographers who don’t report to a hedge fund."
As one of my passions is advocating for 'living local' I absolutely LOVE this point!
And yes, the data-harvesting is most unsettling, the hidden horror within the horror. I swear, I'm one scandal away from going full Luddite... 🤷🏻
I have been saying for several years now, "Maybe the Amish have the right idea!"
Mrs. "the Knife"
Yep! And they don't have to pay into SS and Medicare either.
Yes! Bring back local photographers who don't report to a hedge fund!

I go back to local photographers for senior pics. Girls wore this blouse thing with a black wide scoop top. Just shoulder shots.
And FYI, some schools have upped their game--with 2 picture days each year!
Yikes!
I bought your book on Amazon and somehow it was lost, so they are replacing it and am looking forward to reading it!
Thanks Roberta! Sorry for the aggravation. I hope you enjoy it!

Cancelling picture day is good a first step towards “Normies”discovering the satanic horrors of the Epstein Cabal.
Is anyone else here as proud as I am to be considered a conspiracy theorist?
I love wearing my tinfoil hat. Wish I could post the pic here of my sissy and I wearing the ones she made us.
During the “vid days, I was returning from Costco. My daughter saw the multipack of foil on the floorboard and quipped, “Oh, you are going to meet your friends?”😂

Cinghale - my first laugh out loud of the day. 🤣😆🤣
Thank you!!
💯proud!
Laura,
I remember reading somewhere that Jenna liked cats.
Modify one to include cat ears and send it her way.
I bet she'd be eternally grateful.
The "Purr-fect" gift.
Oh no doubt Jenna would love it! And yes, she is indeed a cat lover.

Yes, Donna, I picture demons clambering over the demons in front of them, but to what purpose? they know not... they are mere demons.
Good fortune to you,David.

Maybe. There are “degrees “ of everything. Only you know what you want to accomplish.
Are you going to have family/ friends only CALL you? Will you answer the phone?
I’m just trying to vicariously imagine what this is going to feel like, hence the questions…but, you’re probably GONE,by now…b-bye👋🙏🖖

I'm an empty nester, yet chose "homeschooling" in your poll. If I had kids at home now, that's what I would do for many reasons. This Lifetouch scandal is one reason among many.
🎯🎯🎯
I do love your idea about art class taking over school pictures!
I never had kids, but I chose ‘homeschooling’. I’ve thought about that since 2020.
Me, too. No kids. I’m 81. If I had any I’d homeschool.
I’m almost 70! Since I’m taking care of mom, long distance, I’m often wondering who’s going to take care of me! Dad died a few months ago and he did everything for her so it’s been especially hard.
Do you have it figured out?

Our Sunday school class is the reason we aren’t considering moving to be close to my daughter and grands. We support each other in ways I don’t think my daughter could support us by herself.
Good idea. Need to get my husband on board too!
Finally all those kids who took horrible pictures can say 'Mom, I was just avoiding Epstein...'

Oh,absolutely. It IS satisfying to “work” the system,a bit…and,SOME of the discounts are up to HALF off the regular price…at least at Safeway and Lucky…
Agree 100%
The "six degrees" point covers why this shouldn't even be a topic anymore. Basically it's "everyone".
As a photographer... no, I'll do my own photography, no need to hire mediocre photographers.
Bad ass. *Gives Jenna a high five, pats pockets, and looks around.* Now where did I put that lavender eye mask…? 😜
I know I say this often but you really are bad ass. Thanks for shining a light on things that would rather be left in the dark and ignored. 🥰

At this rate of conspiracy theories, I might have to buy some more gold and silver. Sux being right all the time (nope).
