Nobody cared we had a President with dementia for 4 years, but they are concerned about another person in DC having a questionable relationship with booze? Yawn

John Wright's avatar

Isn't it a job requirement to have a questionable relationship with booze if you are going to work in Washington?

Dr. Molly Rutherford's avatar

If you don’t have booze troubles when you get there, you develop a habit to cope.

John Wright's avatar

Probably... although doesn't Trump supposedly not drink alcohol at all? I think that I read that he never has.

Dr. Molly Rutherford's avatar

He never drank. His brother was an alcoholic. He has a diet coke/processed food/truth social addiction.

John Wright's avatar

Imagine his social media posts if he was drunk! {laugh}

Juju's avatar

🤣🤣🤣 Best LOL of my day so far 😆

GregWA's avatar

Don't forget "spending money the government doesn't have"! That's his worst addiction!

Don't get me wrong...I'm sooooo glad he's President.

Trump and his awesome team are the only reason I have any optimism.

John Wright's avatar

Yes, I'm eternally thankful that Trump restored some optimism. I am not happy about his massive increase in spending on the Military. I really hope this is a one time thing and will be dramatically cut next year, but I have almost zero hope of that.

MS's avatar

My theory on Trump not drinking; one of the rushes/highs you get from alcholol is the feeling of being uninhibited. Trump doesn't need help; he doesn't have the inhibition gene. (I say that in a good way :))

Keith Jajko's avatar

Solid analyses. 👍

Frontera Lupita's avatar

Trump’s going to be taken out by all that fake sugar chemicals that are in Diet Coke! 🙄

kittynana's avatar

@John- I nearly said the same thing!!!

kittynana's avatar

@Dr. Molly- the difference is we all knew Biden wasn't running the show whereas Patel IS. If he's not all there then the job isn't being done.

Dr. Molly Rutherford's avatar

I don’t trust the Atlantic, but I agree alcoholics generally should not be in positions of power, unless they are in recovery. I treat addiction and have met some amazing people in recovery. Even people in active addiction can be very high functioning, for a while…

kittynana's avatar

@Dr.-yes High functioning alcoholics can be very productive. 'For awhile' is the operative phrase.

Frontera Lupita's avatar

Oh don’t mention the demented Sleepy Eye Joe Biden to these folks, and what an illustrious job he did enforcing COVID BS and vaxxes!

John Wright's avatar

Rinse and repeat... this all sounds like the adults on the Peanuts shows: "mwaa, muggg, murrr" (how do you write out those sounds?).

Lots of noise, no substance... from either the media or government.

KC & the Sunshine's avatar

All hat, no cowboy?

Frontera Lupita's avatar

I think it’s “all hat, no cattle”. (Daughter of a cowboy.) 😉😆

Jenna McCarthy's avatar

In Texas they say "all spurs, no horse" ;)

Frontera Lupita's avatar

Same difference! 😉

KC & the Sunshine's avatar

That works even better!

Karen Bandy's avatar

All lion no teeth. Or do it with a typo, all lying no teeth.

Tonee norman's avatar

That’s been my favorite frase,lately!

John Wright's avatar

That's a clever way to phrase it!

GK's avatar

or a cleaver way to say it.

Justin's avatar

Well there's that saying...

If you haven't heard a rumor by 10 am...

... Then start one.

I'm guessing this is like Brennan or Schiff running down a narrow alley being chased by the PO-PO, and grabbing anything tall or precariously perched as they run by, causing it to block the way behind them.

But we know they go down before the next street.

Except in DC.

Go ahead. Fact check it...

Tonee norman's avatar

I thought is was more like..” waa waaa wa wa wa wa “..

John Wright's avatar

Your Google translate obviously works better than mine! 😇

I asked Simulated Intelligence and it said it is: "wah-wah-wah"

Tonee norman's avatar

No,I didn’t use anything except my memory.. Your spelling looks more accurate to what i was thinking…

John Wright's avatar

Kudos to Simulated Intelligence... now and then it's actually very handy!

Tonee norman's avatar

I have never heard of that..🤷🏻‍♀️

John Wright's avatar

The world prefers to call it AI, but that is a very misleading term.

Occam's avatar

Government on either side of the aisle, frankly.

We wait with bated breath to see this go nowhere either.

ARRESTS ARE COMING!!!!! derp

Marlene Swann's avatar

A. Will someone please explain to me what the words “Color Revolution” mean? I only hear this phrase in the comments. And

B. Your column accidentally made me sad when I was reminded about the Jan. 6 travesty. I have heard that the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers were all awarded pardons, but it makes my blood boil when I remember what happened to ordinary citizens during those fake trials that ruined lives. I would like to see people who participated in that sham to be arrested, it’s good that pardons were issued but arrests need to be made there. COVID arrests - yes please but more need WAYYYY more arrests of that Jan. 6 Committee.

End of rant and good column, Jenna!

Jennifer L.'s avatar

Marlene Swann, this article may be more info than you would like to read but it does a great job of explaining Color Revolutions and their stages.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2021/08/12/covid-19-the-color-revolution-the-intelligence-branch-and-over-a-decade-of-test-nudges/

GregWA's avatar

Jennifer L., thank you so much for showing me the "Conservative Treehouse".

Coverage of stories I care about is awesome. A conservative, God-centered, website...I hope the reporting quality and writing ends up being as good as it appears at first glance!

Jeanne Dukes's avatar

You should also read Shipwreckedcrew on sub stack. He is one of the lawyers, an ex-govt lawyer, who represented those accused. He is very knowledgeable and is well versed with his explanations and analysis. Another excellent one is Kuntsler. You will not be disappointed! I can send you a gift subscription if you want to give me your email. That way you can try for free.

Jennifer L.'s avatar

GregWA, you will not be disappointed. The Treehouse has been a favorite of mine for years after someone shared the link.🙂

Dena's avatar

Worth reading Sundance.

Marlene Swann's avatar

Good read. Point of interest - I’m more in the “End of Stage Two, beginning of stage 3” position.

Marlene Swann's avatar

Thank you! Absolutely plan to read it.

kittynana's avatar

@Marlene- I think some were given pardons, others commutations which means they're not in jail but they still have a record.

Juju's avatar

Actually they held back the pardons for the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers … because they just had EVERYTHING dismissed. Their records cleared completely. That’s better than a pardon. We were all upset when they were excluded from the pardons, but now we see there was a great reason. A pardon still leaves it on your record. They don’t have that anymore because of the way it was done. For those in the military they received full reinstatement and backpay, the whole shebang. Made whole in a way a pardon never could have done. Just another example of being patient and trusting the administration to work. They did it best by them after all

kittynana's avatar

@Juju- even better!

Marlene Swann's avatar

Good to know, I don’t know the latest on how many weren’t pardoned or had sentences commuted. I was praying so hard for them - in 2021 or 2 there was a list published of their names and which facility they were being held in and I sent a Christmas card. I always wonder if they even were given them. Such a crime against them.

Teresa Parmenter's avatar

Anonymous and unnamed sources are where I get ALL my information. They are the best sources for truth. God Bless their little hearts. (Sarcasm)

John Wright's avatar

And there are so MANY of them! 😇

Ginny Moore's avatar

Bad ass. Everyone should be a paid subscriber to your Stack. And I will see you tomorrow!!!! ❤️🤬🍑🥰

Jenna McCarthy's avatar

Can't WAIT! :)

Frontera Lupita's avatar

Oh y’all are going to have some fun together in Austin at the Brownstone ‘Supper Club’ event! 👏🏼🤠

Vee's avatar

Calling it as it is and that's why we love Jenna! The show is getting overly redundant which is waking more and more people up. I'm hoping to see more people sit by the fire of Camp 3 to roast marshmallows together and build decentralized local systems.

🌱Nard🙏's avatar

Will there be wine?

KatWarrior's avatar

But, of course my dear! The only question is which colours and/or still vs bubbles?!

My vote is all of the above! At this point, a gallon of each per person given these extraordinary circumstances!!! 🔥💥🤯😎😂

🌱Nard🙏's avatar

Pink bubbles. Every time 😉.

Tonee norman's avatar

I’m a smoky scotch girl,myself. Wine gives me migraines,unfortunately.

Janna's avatar

I’d really rather have a nice single barrel bourbon. 🥃

Tonee norman's avatar

That’s nice, too. Bourbon seems to leave more “ lingering effects “, than a peaty scotch, for me. The Whiskeys from Islay definitely have an “ “acquired taste “ element. I do not like any Scotch ( so far) that doesn’t come from that area…

Frontera Lupita's avatar

My vote goes for the Bubbly! 🥂🍾

KatWarrior's avatar

Clearly, I vacillate between the silly absurd to dead serious. I am dead serious about the suggested quantities of wine required and your comment, Vee! I lied about the silly absurd! 😂

Seriously, though…

If we are not building local, decentralized/parallel systems, my offer is to get started! I know I harp (on and on) about starting a home garden, but it seems to be my calling! Every dollar you don't put into the matrix bloody well counts! Hate gardening? Do as Jenna does, and let the hubs do that job.

Where do you buy your produce, fish, chicken, beef, lamb, pork, eggs, milk, butter, etc.? Support your local farmer, rancher, regenerative farmer, etc. Get to know them and ask lots of questions.

Out of the blue, I have been asked to speak at a local group about organic home gardening along side a regenerative farmer raising pasture raised animals! People want to know!

Jenna McCarthy's avatar

That's awesome, KatWarrior!!

GregWA's avatar

I just asked Grok the other day how much land is needed to feed 2 people. Interesting answers.

I then told it, I'm only interested in growing veges, some fruits, and maybe have some chickens. No large livestock, no fish hatchery, etc. This is a normal urban area.

The reason I asked Grok this is I live next to a major power line. It runs through a right of way that is at least 100 feet wide and maybe half a mile long. Right now, all that's growing is grass. Lots of it. And its irrigated (has to be...we get 7" a year from the sky).

Sitting out back the other day, contemplating Life, the Universe and Everything, I wondered...why not farm that land? All the neighbors bordering the right of way could have their own plots. Or make them neighborhood plots.

I know the answers: because, because, because...lawyers, stupid people would crap up the land, other stupid people would fight about what to grow and how...and lawyers.

Keith Jajko's avatar

Your final conclusion is spot on. It's liability (which means lawyers). I worked for a client who leased land under power lines in SoCal for over 30 years to operate a plant nursery. Then ... complaints by adjacent neighbors. Then vandalism (someone set fire to a portable restroom, which spooked the utility). There's much more (much of it political) but he was evicted and had to move a million plants off the now-all-weeds long strip of land. 😑

A book in the 1990s called "Death of Common Sense" predicted all this, btw.

Justin's avatar

Well, for one, picking tomatoes growing in a tomato cage could get a little spicy with the induced currents. Unless they all have grounding rods attached. Same with metal fences.

Tonee norman's avatar

I enjoy letting my plants( some of them) go to seed and spread themselves like weeds. In fact,my goal is for every weed on my property to be edible. The Swiss chard, Arugula and, potatoes seem to be popping up all over. Even in the cracks of my driveway!

Kat, do you mind saying what area you will be speaking at? There is only ONE regenative rancher in my part on N.California. I wish I could say all the meat was over the moon amazing… Some is quite tasty, for sure, but, the cost is easily 5x more expensive than other “organic “ commercial brands…still, I buy it,occasionally.

KatWarrior's avatar

Happy to let you know. It's going to be held at UnUrban Cafe in Santa Monica and the date is tentatively June 13th. Dylan Boeken, founder of Boek House Hearth & Husbandry will be speaking as well.

KatWarrior's avatar

My Swiss Chard is a mixture of new and one year old plants. I have peppers, (planted last season), potatoes, sweet potatoes, Cali Poppies, and sunflowers popping up all over the garden as well. I did pull some sweet potato plants out and re-potted them to place where I actually want them growing this year! I just let the potatoes grow if they randomly propagate.

Tonee norman's avatar

Do you eat your sweet potato leaves ? Are yours actually sweet potatoes ( the pale starchy one) or,yams, which we all call sweet potatoes? I grew some “slips” from yams and they made absolutely beautiful, abundant greens. I cooked and ate some like spinach. But,I wasn’t sure if I was eating the right one. I KNOW regular potatoes leaves are highly toxic and a different family,so,never eat those. But,sweet potato leaves are supposed to be much lighter in oxalates than spinach or chard.Oxalates can disrupt calcium absorption so some of us women need to be mindful of that.

Thank you.

KatWarrior's avatar

I have not eaten the sweet potato leaves. They have gone into our compost pile. Interesting. I guess I should try the leaves this season.

I grow the orange and purple varieties.

Tonee norman's avatar

There’s quite a few delicious looking recipes for cooking the sweet potato leaf( orange ,purple,or,the pale yellow)on YouTube. Though ,the leaves of what you are growing ( and,me) sometimes look a bit different as they are actually,yams..I believe..Anyway,I tried some Asian stir fried recipes .they were darn good..I will eat them, again.

I’m having trouble growing starts this year so I BOUGHT some heritage varieties to try. They should arrive in a couple weeks! 🍠🍠🍠

Heather B's avatar

"Let the hubs do that job." 😂 I'm so glad I live in the middle of ranch land and organic farmers. It's easy to get all of that here.

Janna's avatar

All of our beef, pork, chicken (and eggs) and dairy is local and I make my own bread. Short growing days here in Maine but I blanch and freeze veggies and fruit in season from the Farmer’s market and roadside stands. And we do grow some things in raised beds.

Small but important steps in taking back our food chain.

KatWarrior's avatar

I love hearing this, Janna. Blanching and freezing is something I am going to do this year for sure. We need another freezer which will have to go into the spare bedroom! Right now, I have some of my tomato seedlings/plants doing their thing under grow lights!

Cheri Murray's avatar

I’ll bring the chocolate and wine!🍷

kittynana's avatar

@Cheri- Cab (ernet Savignon) for me, please! Or a good Merlot! Or Shiraz! Or....Ok. I'll be quiet now.

Karen Bandy's avatar

Oregon pinot is pretty damn good 🍷

kittynana's avatar

@Karen- I have had it and yes, it is!!!!

Karen Bandy's avatar

As if any of us didn’t know what Cab was! 😂

Janet's avatar

Somebody has to bring the sourdough bread. I suck at making it.

Janna's avatar

I can bring that. 😉

John Wright's avatar

It would be really nice to see some decentralized systems coming to life.

KC & the Sunshine's avatar

I just really would

like to know where they

would put Kamala on a scale of zero to plastered, on a regular basis.

The Great Santini's avatar

On a scale from O to 10, with 0 meaning ‘never drinks alcohol’ to 10 ‘drunk every day, all day’, Kamala would be an 11, maybe a 12.

KC & the Sunshine's avatar

Exactly! With a side of some pill or something on occasion?

I sorta hope so. I HOPE you doesn’t trot out that endless word salad when she’s stone cold sober.

Dave's avatar

How do you keep someone In suspense ?

I will tell you next week :)

FREED0ML0VER's avatar

At least he didn't say, "But look what the DOW is doing."

John Wright's avatar

{laugh} But is anything more important than your Roth and 401k? 😇

Janet's avatar

They might have to keep me out of my daughter’s basement bedroom on Long Island NY. Yes, super important. 😱.

John Wright's avatar

Oooo... can't think of a fate much worse that being stuck in New York City. 😇

Janet's avatar

Long Island is not my idea of living, if not in the Hamptons and other rural areas. . Beautiful beaches and parks, but a nightmare to get to. Not one bus goes by daughter’s house. A train is blocks away. Driving is scary. No interest in seeing the city anymore. Must be my age. 🤪

John Wright's avatar

I'm opting to avoid all cities with populations over about 50,000 people.

FLGenX's avatar

Color Revolution tactics are fascinating to observe, and exhausting to live through. What a time to be alive!

Donna in MO's avatar

Now that you mention it, what happened to all of the Pete Hegseth is a womanizing drunkard claims?

kittynana's avatar

@Donna- they still pop up on Facebook

Appreciate the appreciation! :)

Jeff and Jenna—A Truth Tag Team to hold my sanity together. I sat this morning while my coffee group of liberals cut Melania into little ribbons. Even her eyes are apparently evil. What’s the point of saying anything counter these days. Oh, and everyone in Texas is awful and stupid.

Keith Jajko's avatar

... and Florida. Can't have that bitch session without FL.

Janet's avatar

Yes. Florida was mentioned I now remember. Maybe I should bring up California and New York.

Keith Jajko's avatar

I'm usually brief and pointed in such situations. Ask a simple question. "Hey I read in the news that California as a zillion-dollar budget deficit." Then sip coffee and smile gently.

Jennifer L.'s avatar

For a good time after reading the comments to Jenna’s article go read the excellent ones at The Conservative Treehouse article. 😏

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2026/04/20/fbi-director-kash-patel-files-250-million-lawsuit-against-the-atlantic/

All I know is that the fake news Atlantic report got Cryin’ Chuckie’s panties in a wad as he got behind the senate podium demanding Patel resign.

KC & the Sunshine's avatar

A one man bar crawl!!!🤣🤣🤣😆😆🤣🤣🤣

Penny North's avatar

I think “the whole stinkin’ system” should be a daily option in the Polls.

Mary Ann Caton's avatar

The domestic Color Revolution is coming at us from so many fronts it's difficult to know where to punch back first. From the Dems, the Rinos, Big Media, globalists, NATO, Tucker carlson, and ostensibly the pope we're fighting sanctuary cities, biased federal district judges, SCOTUS leaks, slow-walking the SAVE Act, the never- to- return Talking Filibuster, anonymously sourced stories trashing Trump officials, the "Where's Waldo" handling of the Epstein Files, weird House redistricting efforts, the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which has 18 states and DC who have signed on now representing 222 electoral votes, a scheme to pack the Court, and any number of influential people who are cheering for Iran. I am certain I've left something out. But you see my point. It feels an awful lot like the effort to take our country back is going to fail. Talk me out of it.

kittynana's avatar

When Patel said he has evidence the 2020 election was stolen and he just might release it, that sounded like a desperate move. Desperation is never a good look. I don't know anything about him but I know I haven't been impressed.

It still sticks in my mind when he and Bongino were being interviewed and the Epstein files came up. Bongino was asked a question and as he started to answer, Patel jumped in with some "nothing to see" answer. Bongino looked at him like he had three heads. That told me a LOT right there in that moment.
