Forbes is a shill for Big Ag, Big Chemical, Big pharma, Big everything. I used to subscribe until they ran a puff piece about Monsanto and the wonders of GMO. This was more than 20 years ago. Barf. The world is waking up though!

I subscribed until their covid piece saying we should be ashamed for doing our own vaccine research because we aren’t as smart as the experts. Had to look twice to see if I was reading the Babylon Bee.

Here's a _radical_ thought:

How about aspiring to become a civilization healthy enough to require "healthcare" only sparingly?

Imagine being around people who begin conversations with "I can't remember when I last saw a doctor."

Great! Get rid of the swamp (voting isn’t going to do it, because your government is c a p t u r e d by thugs and killers) and health will restore itself. No virtue trumpets needed.

So, given votes won't do it, how do recommend accomplishing that, wiseguy?

It’s not what you want to hear, because it calls on you to act, not waiting for a hero saviour. Question for you: if social media opened the eyes for many, (as poster below stated) why are they failing their duty and dire need of participation in local government, ensuring local elected government meets local interests, not goals set by an international syndicate (eg Smart City), SDG17? (Poster below said no allies can be found). Is is Apathy or Fear? Has everyone’s mind have been trained into the distance where personal power is futile, leaving all feeling powerless? Take back your Cities!

When Fruit Loops are recommended as part of the basic diet, then you truly know how deep regulatory capture has gone. It also shows the risk that the administrative state-politicians-corporate regulatory influence has to lose. Entire swaths of food, drug, medical equipment and services will be wiped out if we eat healthy. This is indeed a big battle for consumer pocket books but one that I believe we can win by simply walking away just as viewers have walked away from CNN etc. Double entendre: 'walking more' combined with better eating habits is the simplest cure for most bad health.

Convenience is a big issue re: food. Same with technology. "I just want it easy, fast, and now." Few look beneath the hood - how it got there.

Expand full comment

Yes, agreed!! But, if govt gets in the advertising game and connects the beneficial impact of exercise and natural food (not necessarily organic food) vs the outcome of processed foods, people will choose health over poison and convenience. In 10yrs we could lower health care costs by more then 50%. More money in your pocket would be a big incentive.

You have to include lack of exercise and physical activity. Do away with TV, VIDEO games, I Phones, etc, etc. But this down hill movement started with mom's out in the workplace instead of being at home. Dads being reduced to no value except to make babies for more welfare. This is much, much deeper than chemicals and junk in our foods. Get to the basics of it instead of scratching the surface.

"Maybe wanting to fix our food and reverse our declining life expectancy and rebuild systems we can trust to actually safeguard our collective health is the single issue that can bring both sides of our bitterly divided nation together."

One would think so. When I floated just this idea out recently to a group of 5 women, one rolled her eyes and said, "Oh, you're a Kennedy fan! Do you know he's now supporting Trump?" Apparently tainting the notion itself with that association.

Another chimed in - "Yeah, he's crazy. He thinks vaccines are killing people. Pass."

So, that's my block. At least the other 3 didn't join in. Conversation moved on...

Years ago the book _Future Shock_ posited that--even back THEN, BI (Before-Internet)--moderns were suffering from the assault on their consciousnesses by the explosion in the number of simple choices to be made, every day, all day, without respite.

The author, Toffler, concluded, if I recall correctly, that the human mind responded by taking defensive action: by making a choice at a high level, untold infinities of choices could be taken off the table at lower levels. For example, by choosing to be a biker dude, one would never have to face the millions of choices afflicting button-down guys, and v.v. If "I'm a stock-car fan, I don't have to break my head picking stock portfolios." (meant with no aspersions intended).

Toffler's analysis probably best explains why the country has divided itself into a handful of voter-blocs, most of whom seem to feel relieved of the pressure to think critically. By it I can easily understand people dismissing entire critical presentations with "our group doesn't do that." (I don't know if Toffler addressed how to "break through" these hardened, protective shells. TLDR. Plus, something shinier came up and "my group doesn't read to the end." I'll guess that the best time, like a good ol' democrat uses 'crisis', is when something earth-shaking shakes the prevailing view.)

Oh yeah, Toffler - good point!

Big pharma lives off of people illnesses, by prescribing medication that they bank on. Most illnesses like high blood pressure, diabetes, and etc can be cut drastically by a healthy diet, rest, and vitamins. I believe RFK Jr wants to really change things for the better as far as health for the American people, but sadly, he is up against a system that is controlled by the elites and politicians. It absolutely is feasible! It's already happening on the grassroots level in many places across the US, but to expect it to happen at the top without some corporate tentacles attached is pie in the sky. It's absolute madness that we still allow glyphosate to be used in this country even though Bayer/Monsanto settled in a multi millionaire dollar lawsuit that was brought on by a groundskeeper with cancer. Come on!

This issue (actual healthy lifestyles) as well as Federalizing Education are so deeply personal it is difficult to put into words what a parent is up against if he/she does not agree with the status quo. My children are just entering the real world. One is a student athlete at a small private college in his senior year and the youngest is a cook at a large hotel/convention center, he skipped “the college experience” but is an Eagle Scout. I would love to think that my efforts to home cook meals and encourage them in any and all extra curricular activities they even remotely found interesting has kept them healthy and fit. But I may be kidding myself, they just happen to be good people, I think. While they were in school, I railed against processed foods and screen time, they of course thought I was insane. Had a very public fit after declining to sign a Google account permission slip only to be told the school would “delete” the accounts. It was literally like pushing against a 30 ft ocean wave of crappy food and marketing media to try and provide healthy discipline and choices for my kids. My youngest had two heart surgeries as well as Chiari 1. You can’t imagine how complicated our healthcare system is until you have to navigate our healthcare system. Yes, change is needed, actual parenting is needed but is our society so drug addicted and strung out on Taco Bell Dorito crunchwraps to have the will to do it?

Lisa, I’m right there with you. Our oldest is a sophomore in college whose “meal plan” includes ChikFilA meals with soda. My husband loves cola, so there is Zevia in our fridge, but no regular soda. Ever. Daughter home from her first year with 6 cavities. She admits to living on grilled cheese sandwiches, even though she has been told her EDS joint symptoms will be less if she avoids gluten and dairy. The irony is that I am a certified Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. My kids have heard their entire lives how important whole food is for them to feel well, think well, and sleep well. The hardest part about this stage of parenting is waiting for your kids to realize that you weren’t just trying to make their lives difficult but were telling them the truth because you love them and want them to feel well.

A few days ago in a town nearby in my swing state of PA, the line to turn in ballots was over two hours long. A bus pulled up and out got a group of non-English speaking people, all wearing Harris/Walz pins. They were escorted past the front of the line, as in PAST THE AMERICAN VOTERS, and were taken to turn in their ballots. When their name didn't appear on any list, a worker said, "No problem. We can change your name." This was all on video (search the Gateway Pundit on X for video). My friend was there and witnessed this in person. All to say: the Left (and global cabal) WILL steal this election again and RFK won't have ANY chance to help this country. We are up against a force that none of us can understand. It's about to get real for all of us, though. Even the Harris "supporters".

This txt message is being sent to medical professionals

it's Dr. Rob Davidson with the Committee to Protect Health Care, a nat'l group of 20K doctors fighting for our patients. RFK Jr.'s appointment as HHS Secretary poses a serious threat to science and public health, endangering the health of 336M Americans. Please sign our letter urging the Senate to reject his appointment here: https://committeetoprotect.org/stop-rfk-jr/

How will we push back?

As soon as Kennedy was officially nominated by a Trump, an unknown organization popped up, claiming:

The Committee to Protect Health Care is a nat'l group of 20K doctors fighting for our patients.

Four years on from COVID, we the people, have learned such organizations appear out of nowhere (ex - nlfd, ccdh) make multiple unsubstantiated claims, have untraceable sources of funding, are lead by obscure individuals who have access to multiple platforms which amplify their libelous claims; their primary goal - character assassination and defamation is usually quickly accomplished and then they quietly fade away into the background.

Currently, their is a tsunami of panicked money interest working around the clock to drown Kennedys nomination. The threat they perceive is real, Kennedy poses a clear and present danger to ending the criminal enterprise which has lead to the complete destruction of American health and our healthcare system.

The reality is, those opposed to Kennedys nomination are the reason for the abysmal state of affairs the entire healthcare system finds itself in.

Monikers like conspiracy spreader and vaccine denier are not going to be enough to prevent people from demanding honest, unbiased inquiry, grounded in clean unadulterated data and facts.

Kennedys words and actions speak for themselves. That he is not degreed in a science field has helped him remain true to the pursuit of scientific inquiry which demands hyper-vigilance and constant testing of theories in order for facts to be validated.

The lack of trust now prevalent, is wholly due to the abuse of public trust by the agencies tasked to protect the interests of Americans. Science can only be consensus based if it is first facts based. Patients and physicians are both gravitating towards what Kennedy offers because Americans no longer trust their health care system. They are afraid of illness and disease, which is anxiety provoking as is, but when combined with the reality, that medical professionals and medical practice as a whole have failed patients, we find ourselves in a state of paralysis.

People are afraid to go to hospitals - not because of conspiracy theories - but because of the terrible, unethical treatment they or their loved ones experienced because of pandemic protocols, supposedly implemented to save lives, these protocols have caused many magnitudes of damage, and doubling down is going to make the problems exponentially worse.

The public health agencies and policies who are now in a frenzy about the harm that might ensue if Kennedys appointment is confirmed are solely responsible for turning safe and effective into the most dangerous advice ever given to an entire population. Their harm is self - inflicted.

With or without Kennedy people will reject medical tyranny. With Kennedy we have the opportunity to course correct, re-establish trust and reclaim our health.

Engaging in discourse over specific ideas is a fruitful endeavor only when all parties are sincere in their objective of true inquiry and discovery.

This, he said/she said, battle only serves to create confusion and discord. There are only two viewpoints:

Kennedy - who is advocating for honesty, integrity, accountability and transparency in order fix our broken health care system

And the other side - which is pushing the idea that health is based on blind trust and questioning government established procedures and protocols must be prohibited to the point of being made criminal.

This needs to be made exceedingly clear to physicians, patients and especially our lawmakers. We are choosing between medical autonomy/sovereignty and medical tyranny.
