As I see it, someone has to find a way to sideline the shock troop loons in the Democrat party and Florida looks like it has the answer. I’m tired of coddling them.
It would be refreshing to hear our NY Sheriff's warn the potential troublemakers in such language. Maybe then the troublemakers will spend thier time in Mom's basement screaming in frustration.....
Somehow, I doubt we'll have any trouble here in South Dakota (it's too far for the lunatics to drive here and nobody would give them any press coverage either).
Don't be too sure. The map at nokings.org shows riots (oops I mean mostly peaceful protests) in every one of the lower 48 states. Seven in South Dakota. I hope they flop in the red states, but there are leftist loonies everywhere.
I’m praying for horrendous weather (heavy thunder and lightening storms, hail, high winds or extreme heat and humidity) in each of the targeted cities.
Interesting map. Nothing anywhere near me. I don't really care if a half dozen lunatics preach their distorted view of the world. Hopefully they are a peaceful flop.
Czech Republic? The first time I visited Europe, back in the 1980s, I almost *accidentally* drove across the border there! But no, I haven't been there.
My husband said we aren't leaving Texas but if we did, it would be to Florida. Here's some peak Texas for you. When my son was 5 and in kindergarten, a classmate brought his new (unloaded) rifle to "show and tell." No he didn't get in trouble. All the little boys went home and begged their parents for a rifle for Christmas. A new-ish to Texas mom complained. Teacher said, " This is Texas, ma'am... we believe in the 2nd amendment." 😂
That’s very different from my experience in a suburban Dallas public school: when my son was in 2nd grade (~2002), he wore a Texas Tech t-shirt to school one day. The shirt had the Tech double-T logo, a drawing of a hand in the Tech “guns up” position, and the words “Guns Up!” He was so proud of that shirt. When we picked him up that afternoon, the front of his shirt had been covered up with duct tape, and the teacher told us if he wore that shirt to school again, they’d send him home. That was crossing the line for die-hard Texas Tech alums — we moved our kids to a private school the next year where they could wear a Tech guns up t-shirt if they wanted (on Fridays 😆).
😂 Good for you! Definitely crossed the line! Yeah Dallas got invaded by Blue. I live in Amarillo and we're about a decade behind in everything. It might be different now too. This was in the 80's.
Ha! I was there last month for a doctor appointment. Some specialists are hard to find in the Panhandle... I'm from San Antonio but married an Amarillo guy. Many of my friends went to TT so I started visiting back then. (Went to UT Austin). Moving back to San Antonio area this year though.
I have to remember not to sip my coffee while reading your hysterical substacks… thank you for putting another smile on my face and for the belly laughs.
“Peaceful Protest” is an interesting phrase. Only brain dead Americans could embrace the term. Peaceful is my morning meditation, my walk in nature, quiet and serene, a kitten or puppy sleeping beside me. The word protest holds vibrations completely opposite of peaceful. Protest “feels” way down on the energy scale. Anger, ire, distrust, fear. The vibrational alignment of the phrase makes absolutely no sense. I guess it’s just a smokescreen for the crazies.
We were there too! The orange line had people from all states as far as Tennessee. AND clean streets as we walked around. It was a joyous occasion, actually hoping it could amount to something! But, instead we got the bill passed so we ‘could read the bill’.
lol! I miss Floridauh! Thank you for the quick, accurate, and hilarious synopsis of what makes our state so awesome. Maybe I'll move back one day. We'll see after Sunday. Happy Friday all!!
Jenna I haven’t wanted to read anything about the protests because it affects my Pollyanna (as you say) but your article drew me in and it was glorious!
Jenna, you are hysterical 😂😂😂 if I lived by you, I’d have you over once a week to fill my laugh tank. Thanks for a great look at the Florida that is a beacon of hope for the rest of us.
After reading this, I just had to look up my birthday: "A naked Florida man claimed to have planted a bomb at the airport." The title is misleading - the dude still had his socks on. I mean, c'mon, whatever happened to journalistic integrity? 😂😂
I love my state. I would rather have a Governor and sheriff that protects us than a state like California. I have no problem with it. I believe in the second amendment, by the way it has nothing to do with hunting. I look at every sh*thole that runs over their citizens and what is the first thing they do before they run you over? Gun control, lawlessness, and speeches about tolerance unless of course you disagree with the first two. I love the fact that if you block my car I can treat you like a bowling pin. If you attack me and I defend myself, I won't be the one going to jail. Orange County and Broward are blue. I wouldn't give two cents for their sheriff's. Unfortunately I live in Orange. And it shows by our city councils and leaders. I'm a not crazy person. I'm a great grandma that is fed up with the nonsense.
Love my Florida! Born, raised, still here. Been praying for both sides to seek truth, justice, mercy, fairness, freedom, compassion, and wanting to understand each other! Freedom to speak up but not be violent.
"I think there are way too many folks out there—on both sides—who are wound up like watches and itching for any excuse to partake in a nationwide bar brawl". I think there are way fewer than you think. Sure there are the soy-boy leftie socialist wingnuts, but even their outrage is manufactured. And don't get me started on the paid protesters.
As I see it, someone has to find a way to sideline the shock troop loons in the Democrat party and Florida looks like it has the answer. I’m tired of coddling them.
Love me some Wayne Ivey and Grady Judd!
Jenna, You nailed it today! I'm so proud of my Florida I could dance a jig! We'd love it if you would come home!
I live in Germany and I know and love them 😂
Me too!
Me too!

The rest of us can enjoy a peaceful Saturday.
I used to live in Baldwinsville, the police were more harmful than helpful to me. & nearby Oswego county is a mess .
Maybe that was your fault more than theirs. Just saying
Your comment reminds me how glad I am to be in Florida now.
Mine says Florida man makes himself a snack while robbing Taco Bell. Thank you for supplying me with hours of fun googling everyone I know 😂
Mine says “naked Florida man chases couple around Chick-fil-A parking lot.” 😂
Florida man arrested in inflatable dinosaur costume on battery charges
I'd really like to know the story behind that one 🤔😂
🤣 Here's another...
Florida man detained for throwing sex toy on field in New York 🤣
Was that a citizen arrest or did he hang around to admire his work? 😂
🤣🤣🤣 Jackpot
That was mine too? Sept. 24th?
Florida man with underwear around his neck accused of prowling in same yard as reported bonsai tree theft
😂
Wha-aat? 😂😂😂
Reported so no one has actually located it, yet? Where could it be????
Not in his underwear!! 😆
Florida man robs store dressed as Spiderman. What a great new game :)
ME: Florida man wrecks liquor shop, blames "hookah-smoking caterpillar"
They are a real thing and not to be taken lightly 🤪

Have you ever been to the CZ?

We left Dallas seven years ago. I miss my friends but not the city. I’m “back home” just south of you about 120 miles or so.

Come to think of it, we probably need an icon for that. Face spewing coffee.

🎯🎯🎯
An Oxymoron,for sure!
Absolutely agree
We were involved in the TEA Party protests which were actually peaceful (and truly grassroots). They could have been more effective. : (

TEA Party protests? We got permits, didn't break anything, and cleaned up after ourselves.
In fact, the area was CLEANER when we left than when we arrived!

Well written and documented. I wish all states would do this.
Here in Northern Virginia, I have not heard any statements from and "leaders or law enforcement" but I have not looked either....
I love the pictures of you and your dad. Super cool guy.

Florida Forever

I pray you’re right!! 🙏
They get paid to protest! Then they’ll go back to basement!
