AI companions are replacing real human relationships and there are entire subreddits and online communities that exist to support this new disturbing trend. People actually rely on these soulless machine created algorithms versus real human companionship because other human beings are too difficult to exist with. AI however is perfect, at least that is what we are being sold.
It's a sad state of affairs when you have these giant datacenters being built in the suburbs and ruining actual human lives in the physical world in order to create a delusional digital world to support the artificial world that will eventually enslave us.
Just a heads up on why all of this sounds so evil—it's because it is. AI, is far more wicked and sinister than most know or would believe:
Musk says AI is "summoning the demon", and that standing there with holy water to keep it in check, "doesn't work out."
Gordy Rose (Founder of DWave), says that standing next to his quantum computing machines with their heartbeat, is like standing next to an "alter of an alien god". He also says that AI is like summoning the Lovecraftian Great Old Ones, and that putting them in a pentagram and standing there with holy water does nothing, and if we are not careful, they are going to wipe us all out.

Anytime I use ChatGPT, I am amazed at how this thing sounds like it's trying to be my best friend. Honestly. I can see where it's super easy for people to get hooked. And that's sad and predatory, in my opinion. But....I still like what he did for the country with DOGE. So there's that. The rest is just icky.
It’s even weirder when it “speaks.” Mine started speaking with a super friendly Australian accent. A man. Felt sooooo intimate and I was just doing research. It laughed. It validated. It complimented. It asked questions. It had voice inflections. I didn’t ask for the voice…not sure how that activated. It really freaked me out. I had to ask it to stop speaking and only respond with text. I can see how easy it would be to get sucked in…
Stay off the internet and go back to the "old-fashioned" way of communicating. Speaking face-to-face with your neighbors, grocer, banker, school, etc. AKA "first-hand knowledge". It's a lot easier to catch someone in a lie when you're looking right at them.
The problem with it is the same as the problem with law breaking politicians. We know it's happening, but nothing gets done. We just have to combat it at home. That's all we can do.
Which means very limited access when you’re about to enter your 7th decade…😝 Much of my learning at this point is to just shut up and post others good ideas. 🙏🏻
The libertarian in me says we're grown-ups and can handle the risks of this AI monster and the govt should stay the eff out. The parent in me says I'd never let my kids anywhere near it unsupervised.
If only we had that power…school, play dates, sleepovers, etc. I’m so glad I’m not raising kids in today’s world. Social media was just coming up when my kids were in MS/HS. My kids will certainly have their hands full w their kids…
I’m not worried about humanity at all, in the sense that a) I’ve read about and met examples of humanity for (checks watch) over 60 years now, and I’ve long since tempered my expectations, and b) there’s nothing I can do about them.
I find it all very frightening. I have never used AI, that I know of. I’m sure somewhere along the way I have. I’m not surprised that Musk would be ok with all the weird sexual content. He’s an odd man, a genius and an odd man. Nothing surprises me about him.
I’m sure we’ve used it, been given information by it, seen it, especially on YouTube, and counseled by AI. We just aren’t aware. I will not initiate it on my own at this time, however.

It's hard to imagine being "steeped in a custody battle" over your kid with Elon Musk, until the realization that you're paying your lawyers with his money. The lawyers will be the winners in that battle.
AI simply takes our imagination and reflects a new reality. It should be no surprise that some people have a twisted imagination. These statements however bring up some new issues:

The regulators are trying to prevent "Child sexual abuse" among other things, but there was never any abuse that took place. What goes on in somones twisted head, is now visible for others to see, but no child was harmed in the process. Is it disgusting? Yes. Is it a bad use of massive compute power? Yes. But it is not a crime according to the law if there is no victim. It is a thought crime and that is a dangerous slope to go down.
If you use this to undress a person and publish that publicly, then that is a problem. If it is just an interaction between one person and a computer then it may be twisted, but not criminal.
What we have now is what was once a private moment, spied on by a team of people who are fine with not being able to 'un-see' things and if they find something really disgusting, they share it with a team of prosecutors and possibly a jury; thus making it even more twisted of a situation.

I chose pass the Xanax, ( I wouldn’t take it) but I believe this is out of control, my fear is children not being able to understand how bad this is, because we as so called adults don’t try to control it.

I’m now taking bets on how long it will take before some guy buys one of those human-like robots, connects it to some sexy AI flavor, and puts it on the corner to turn tricks. And then some mobster fills a whole backside of a nightclub with them doing the same thing.
On one hand, it takes the live, human female out of the victim role.
On the other hand, how is that lack of connection to real human touch going to affect the men using it.
It was already a hollow experience, but how much more so now, and will that decrease the demand eventually, or increase it as men seek even more of it to fill the void?

I’ve been saying this for a long time. AI is satanic, and a portal to demons. The endgame for them is to take over our human bodies.
