Gave my friend who works for Cleveland Clinic that info on their flu shot study. I asked her if they happened to send that nugget to their employees. Ha! What a silly question.
Those flu shots are almost always mandatory for doctors, nurses and orderlies.
I've got two children, now 9 and 13. I used to sometimes take them to their four-time-a-year "wellness" check ups at the pediatricians' offices. I can't remember one time when I wasn't asked: "Do you want to let Jack get his flu shot today?"
For a while I just said, "No thank you."

I quit taking flu shots years ago, after I didn’t have any super young kids who were bringing home everything. I don’t think I’ve ever had the flu in my life, unless I was really young. I had all the childhood Illnesses - measles, mumps, chicken pox (back when there were parties to make sure everyone got them), and lots of strep throat. But I haven’t been sick with anything other than a sinus infection as an adult, and I haven’t had one of those in at least 10 years.
And I’ve never had covid, even though I’m a massage therapist and breathe in people’s faces for a living (not really, but you get the idea). In fact, no one in my family has had covid except the two that had to take the covid shots to keep their jobs (my son who’s in the military and his wife who’s a nurse). Isn’t that interesting?
All I’m saying is that for me, doing basic things like sleeping well, managing stress, getting fresh air and sunshine seems to be better than going the pharma route so I’m going to stick with that.

Well, _I_ got the flu shot for a few years. I'd only ever heard of "the flu" before moving to Wisconsin, and I never got the shot--for years--UN TIL, one year I got the flu, and then I was first-in-line, never wanting THAT again. But of course that's back when I didn't find "doctors" laughable...

Actually there was a study long ago which already showed that if you got a flu shot you were more likely to get sick. It's not a "wash", it's a get this shot and you are less likely to get the specific strains this shot is designed against but you are MORE likely to get every other form of illness.

I think "concern about impact on the Economy" is the "unmentionable" that will be revealed in 10-or-so years in one of the biographies from this period. Much of the pussy-footing, I think, is aimed at "signaling" Big This-or-Thats that the gravy train is being decommissioned and "other, private, endeavors should be researched before it's too-late-Big-You" which, might, in time result in the Lesser Bloodbath to be hoped for.

You know what? When my hubby had the flu this past winter and dialysis sent him to emergency room, they ran a test. On his paperwork it listed: Flu A, Flu B, Covid. (He had either A or B) So, in my mind, Covid was/is a flu strain, they just can’t admit it yet.🤦🏻♀️the shot was something else entirely!
I tested for B in January. It was worse than Omicron covid strain I csught a few years earlier. Lingered for 5 weeks. But, natural immunity got me through.

All I’m saying is that for me, doing basic things like sleeping well, managing stress, getting fresh air and sunshine seems to be better than going the pharma route so I’m going to stick with that.

Yep, a big study came out some time ago that showed the flu shot had no effect on hospitalization or death, maybe even negative efficacy in those areas, if I recall. Anyway, is absolutely does NOT do what they claim. And they wonder why we're "hesitant." Hah, kidding. I'm not hesitant. I'm absolutely, firmly, 100% firm in refusing, thank you.

It’s been 7 years ( I think) since taking the last flu shot. Apart from being poisoned twice by whatever the PTB called “covid,” I have never been more healthy. Popped a few ivm and the other stuff and was good as new!
Well, _I_ got the flu shot for a few years. I'd only ever heard of "the flu" before moving to Wisconsin, and I never got the shot--for years--UN TIL, one year I got the flu, and then I was first-in-line, never wanting THAT again. But of course that's back when I didn't find "doctors" laughable...
For those wondering "if" you've had it, I'll just ask two questions:
1. The first day, were you afraid you were going to die?
2. The second day, were you afraid you weren't?
For years the flu shot has been a wash, if I understand correctly. Not necessarily increasing one's risk of getting sick, but not increasing risk either.
Now, among a population that is presumably highly vaccinated against covid, at least with the initial series, the flu shots are making people sicker. One ought to wonder if there is a relationship.
Actually there was a study long ago which already showed that if you got a flu shot you were more likely to get sick. It's not a "wash", it's a get this shot and you are less likely to get the specific strains this shot is designed against but you are MORE likely to get every other form of illness.
Humans are arrogant in thinking we can do better than Mother Nature. Sorry, we aren't even close.

Fifty percent of the country has been getting their "annual flu shot" for decades. Seventy percent of senior citizens get them.
Do the math. That is a ton of people and a mint of money.
I just had a thought: If the flu shots worked, sales of cold and flu medicines would have plummeted through the years. Go to your local grocery store or pharmacy, take a tape measure, and see how many feet of shelf space are required to stock these products.

Respectfully disagree. Kennedy‘s been in this fight for over 30 years. It’s absolutely ludicrous to think he’s changed his stance. The multi billion dollar pharmaceutical industry will stop at nothing to destroy him, to make him look foolish, to make individuals doubt his motives. For that reason alone and also for the fact that there is no one else fighting this battle, I will trust him to the end.
He has been so there is no excuse for why he's not immediately ending the emergency that is allowing the PREP to remain in effect that allows big pharma and big medicine to be immune from any liability from these clot shots. It's almost as if we have a different version of RFK Jr in his official position as HHS secretary.

I think "concern about impact on the Economy" is the "unmentionable" that will be revealed in 10-or-so years in one of the biographies from this period. Much of the pussy-footing, I think, is aimed at "signaling" Big This-or-Thats that the gravy train is being decommissioned and "other, private, endeavors should be researched before it's too-late-Big-You" which, might, in time result in the Lesser Bloodbath to be hoped for.

Someone posted a map in Substack notes - a map of the largest industries ($) in each state from the mid 19th century compared to now. It was agriculture and manufacturing and retail, now - almost across the board! - it is the medical sector. So I think you are definitely on to something!
Not at all surprised. I have marveled at the near-cancerous spread of health-related, single-purpose "clinics," in my nearby university town and its satellite sybarites[3], already top-heavy with medical "institutions."
It's as if, somehow[1], someone[2], gave a "green light" to one segment of the economy to, effectively, print its own money--no oversight, no consequences. "Can't lose money on 'healthcare'!" and all our farmed-out retirement plans fall in line to fund their growth to the sky.

Most of us have long ago recognized that the flu shots weren’t doing anything for us. Then they moved on to the argument, do it for your grandma, etc. Trouble is that doesn’t help grandma either.
Last ‘flu season’ my GP urged me to get the flu shot. I declined. He said my choice would make me more likely to get the flu. I just smiled, and repeated ‘no, thanks’. If I’d only had this Cleveland Clinic study. Of course, he’d refuse to read it.

If they were prescribed this medicine, this must mean these "patients" were already sick enough to drag themselves to the doctor ... so they must not have had a "mild" case. Whenever I have a mild case of a respiratory virus, I just take some Alka-Seltzer Plus Cold Medicine, buy some Gator Aide or Sprite and continue on with my daily activities.
My former employer forces flu shots to this day. Yes, I said former. I trust public health like I trust a fox in a henhouse. Oh and guess what? I’m severely immunosupressed and didn’t get a flu shot. Guess who also didn’t get the flu?

I stopped the flu shot, when literally no one caught the flu in 2020. Misinformation in 2020 ( from the Government) had at least one positive outcome.
You know what? When my hubby had the flu this past winter and dialysis sent him to emergency room, they ran a test. On his paperwork it listed: Flu A, Flu B, Covid. (He had either A or B) So, in my mind, Covid was/is a flu strain, they just can’t admit it yet.🤦🏻♀️the shot was something else entirely!
I tested for B in January. It was worse than Omicron covid strain I csught a few years earlier. Lingered for 5 weeks. But, natural immunity got me through.

"Other." At this point, who knows? It is 2 steps forward, 3 steps back. I just can't square it in my mind that something known to cause harm (26.9% more likely to get the flu) is still recommended for everyone, including babies.
I knew this from observing my grandparents: Every year all 4 of them would get the flu shot on the advice of their doctors. Every year they would all come down with a nasty case of the flu. Even at 16 years old, I wondered why they kept getting the flu shot, since it didn't work!
