Good Morning and Happy Monday Poopy Pants McCarthy! That would maybe be more applicable for after 80 or 90 but 40 is a bit premature.

Thanks for reporting on the recent drama on America's Top President! Looks like the drama is truly never-ending.

I saw this awesome quote yesterday that is worth sharing:

"How about instead of companies displaying pink ribbon this month, they just remove the carcinogens from their products."

🤣🤣🤣

Have a beautiful week all!

It never hit me until this moment that those "we give profits to...."(cf. Newman's Own brand)n virtue-signalling signs on labels--might possibly be a sign of collusion.

Also you might be wasting your money.

Tells who owns them. Right there on the label. There is always a disease du jour that sometimes lasts for decades, not just a jour. I fell for the pink scam for a few years and had 2 biopsies and lots of mammograms. Ruined my girls for sure. I said NO MORE invading me and told them and all their 'screenings' to piss off.

I have said the same for the same reasons (invading my body in service to your grift), albeit in gentler terms.

Sadly, I have no confidence in our election 'system'; though that's how I feel about MOST of our 'systems'. I have had to rip off my rose-colored glasses, and I don't like it very much! I grew up believing in authority, our institutions, doctors, policemen, etc. SOO glad I'm as old as I am - the world is pretty shitty now. Glad to how found my tribe right here on your substack!

Im all for state’s rights on most issues but I think the time has come for federal, across-the-board election rules if we ever hope to have fair elections again. Other countries (even some 3rd world ones) are able to know results night-of or next-day. Ideally:

-Cleaning up voter rolls REGULARLY / annually instead of waiting until months or weeks before elections.

-No early voting other than perhaps one week before

-No early voting until all debates have been done

-A declared holiday for Election Day

-No mail in ballots other than for overseas military & other special circumstances like nursing home residents or hospitalized people that can’t get out, people traveling outside the country & proof of same for all of that

-A verified US ID for proof of CITIZENSHIP

-PAPER ballots where you have to color in the circle for choices. No machines, chads, etc.

-Counting by hand

-None of the nonsense as in 2020 where republicans poll watchers were literally not allowed in the counting rooms, or were forced to stand so far away that they couldn’t see anything!

-No more “oops, we just discovered more ballots in car trunks, closets, suitcases. Those DON’T get counted

There are surely more & perhaps any of these are not good ideas or would be difficult to implement, but we HAVE to do something to root out the top-to-bottom corruption

NO! But common sense & rational thought are in very short supply these days, not to mention the Idiocracy midwits who consider themselves masters of our universe….

The quote from Stalin just keeps reverberating in my head: "I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this—who will count the votes, and how."

What you've described, Cindi, is easy to implement. What's difficult is the "rooting out corruption" part. 😳

I always think of that quote too, Mary. It’s what worries me about next week although I think, I HOPE election complacency is a thing of the past! We are fixin’ to find out, I guess.

So Jenna has a stalker. Another burden super-famous people must endure. Stay strapped!!

I'm baffled as to why it's the swing states that can't count the vote in one night? Do they chisel their vote on stone tablets and send them in on the back of a stegosaurus? Or use little strips of paper and send them by carrier pigeon? Banks have these cool little machine that can count $5,000 in $5 bills in two seconds. I think we're being lied to.

Hi.. The elections will be contentious, that is a given. This country is so so so very polarized it is very very sad.

These are the questions:

1 - Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?

2 - Are gas prices lower or higher than they were 4 years ago?

3 - Are food prices out of control and much higher than 4 years ago?

4 - Is our economy worse than 4 years ago?

5 - Are there millions of illegals running around in this country, sucking up your millions of dollars in free benefits and taking it away from citizens ( including veterans)?

6 - Is our military full of DEI incompetents more so than 4 years ago? ( sad)

WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF people wake uppppppppppppppp.

Either vote Trump or get out of the way....

Respectfully.

PS. That fool who keeps snarking you should get off their Latte triple cappuccino and wake the ffffff up. If you only have a handful of miscreants Ms Mc Carthy you are doing wonderful musing writings. Love your work......................:):):)

I remember the hanging chads in Florida and then watching Gore concede (to keep the peace). Somehow the Nation survived that debacle. That was then.

In 2024, the media has ratcheted the rhetoric up to "11" though, pitting Left against Right (and vice versa) at a level way higher than what we had in 2000 when Bush was granted the throne.

The nation's political pulse in 2024 is more like 1861 when the Civil War started.

I'm a Democrat Turned Independent during Covid, an RFKJR supporter now voting for Trump in this Topsy Turvy World. I do not trust the Establishment to count the votes fairly, in an attempt to ensure a Harris victory. Our only chance of a Trump victory is a landslide election where the results are too hard to manipulate.

For a deep cynic, I find myself surprisingly optimistic about this election (albeit not his 2nd term) - because I think we might already be beyond the margin of cheating/stealing. We all know the polls are heavily biased/weighted towards Dems, but I think it's way worse than we realize (there's that cynicism!). Won't surprise me if Trump gets every battleground state and even a handful of others we think are off the table for him. Also (here comes more cynicism), it's not like the Deep State and their bought and paid for mainstream media (not to mention their useful idiot Dems) gives up and roll over once the election is over. Hell no, they hunker down and disrupt Trump's 2nd term in every which way they can. I think they've already conceded the battle (Trump winning the election) and are on to planning out the war (his 2nd term).

I do not disagree. I believe their Plan B is "make the world miserable under Trump so he can catch all the blame..." Sickening but not surprising.

I think your instincts about what will happen if Trump wins is right on. We the People have to shame them so much that they are not successful in thwarting his agenda. I think we can. More and more people are waking up to the reality of the corruption in our systems. Trump 2024!

I think "Too Big to Rig" is our best chance for a Trump win. Trump is winning; you know it, I know it, everyone knows it. Kamala's ads use language like "being the underdog in this fight", and "not giving up". They're cooked and they know it.

“How (not) confident are you in our election integrity?”

Not the least bit. What Dr. Jerome Corsi says about the algorithms within the voter rolls is just one of the reasons why, but a rather compelling one:

Who knows what the desperately power-mad will try to pull in the next week+, but I think they know their goose is cooked. They cannot reach anywhere near 2020 levels of mail-in ballots where it matters and have probably the worst candidate ever (didn't think HIllary could be topped but. . .) and without any shenanigans it would be a landslide. I suspect it will still be a pretty convincing win for Trump & co. so I think the real trouble will brew in the aftermath prior to inauguration. I think the only way to go forward is to paradoxically "always be expecting a surprise."
