Marxists captured the Smithsonian. Just like they captured Education, Hollywood, NBA, WNBA (who is committing economic suicide by censoring Sophie Cunningham), Gay Community, Healthcare and on and on. It’s time to name and destroy the Marxist Cancer from America.
Tearing down is relatively easy and fast. Building is hard and slow. But we have to start re-building what has been torn down, and soon! I think we already have started with Trump 2.0 implementing Heritage's Project 2025 or whatever it's called. If we do it right, we won't just build what was torn down, but a better version of it!
But for the Trump 2.0 reforms to "take", we all need to roll them out at our local level. Politically, this means school boards, city councils, state legislatures, etc. Socially this means teaching moral virtue at home, in our schools and in our churches. That leads to civic virtue...yada, yada, yada.
Make life impossible for DAs who refuse to enforce the law, especially the laws the Left doesn't like!
Stop tolerating the blue hairs showing up to various hearings, meetings, events, and shouting everyone else down. Apply every tiny law against such behavior and forcibly remove them. They'll come back of course and when they do, remove them with a little greater force. How about a "3 strikes" law for such behavior: after three arrests for such disorderly conduct you get a minimum, mandatory 3 months in the local pokey?
Pass the SAVE act. Somehow. Now!
Oh, and primary John Thune. Everywhere he goes there should be at least 10 people shouting "SAVE America" in his face.
I know people disagree with me on this point, and I understand why, BUT there is a reason that mockery is so effective (I will say that until I am blue in the face). This is as much a spectator sport as it is a thunderdome, and a well-placed and well-timed meme can do wonders to get the people watching to laugh and then go "oh, wait, they have a point ...". It also helps because the left cannot laugh at themselves. They think they have a sense of humor, but it's mean-spirited word salad. That's why quick-witted President Trump and Meme Culture bothers them so much.
It also doesn’t mention “museum funding” as a federal responsibility. But if the taxpayer (i.e., me) is footing the bill for a museum, then the taxpayer’s (i.e., my) fairly elected representatives in government should have some curation authority over said museum.
The best way to keep Congress out of “museum curation” is to end the government funding of museums. Let the leftists pay for their own museum of the weird. If the Smithsonian withers and dies, so be it.
I would prefer that the federal government not fund anything except the military. Let the states decide for themselves what they want to be involved in and construct interstate agreements as necessary. It would work just fine.
I voted serve cocktails even though I knew the appropriate answer was reflect history. To split the difference, I’d like to suggest an exhibit on the history of American cocktails. With samples.
LOL! Good reminder. If ever visiting the Coke museum, or if the Smithsonian wises up and makes this cocktail exhibit for us, bring some crackers. Goldfish in a ziplock work pretty well.
And there's always the history about Prohibition and different types of liquor made to replace big business alcohol by little stills running in the back woods all over the US. Speaking of Prohibition, that is where Nascar as a sport started; those rednecks racing and running boxes of moonshine bottles on backroads and trying to avoid authorities. LOL!
Liquors of all kinds have been made from everything with a sugar base. Raisins, any fruit, corn, agave, grains, molasses, potatoes, rice..... anything. Even honey - Mead is great.
The ideologic capture of the Smithsonian, gradually, like the proverbial frog in the pan of water on the stove, perfectly mirrors what has happened to the profession of medicine, especially my own area of surgery. The premier organization representing surgeons of all specialties has bought into critical race theory and queer culture lock, stock, and barrel. Diversity now trumps excellence in all areas of surgery. Young surgeons are steeped in social justice and see themselves as social justice warriors first and foremost. They are taught to see patients according to their demographic identity, not as individuals, as though racial and ethnic, and even gender, are homogenous groups all of whose members share the same opinions, experience, and sensibilities. This has brought us to a point where the leaders of surgery can say, with a straight face and no evidence to back it up, that outcomes in surgery are better when the patient and surgeon are of the same race, ethnicity, or gender. Reversing these illiberal, toxic ideologies is going to involve hard work over a generation or more. Thank you for your huge contribution to the fight.
That's just heartbreaking on every level. I know I'm Pollyanna and all, but I do believe pendulums always swing back... and it seems as if we've gone just about as far as we possibly can...
Sadly, the other untenable extreme its already oozing out of its rancid hole, demanding to censor and criminalize lgbtq, atheism and any criticism of capitalism or Israel, and rescind all women's rights and opportunities outside the kitchen. For starters. Why the hell do the craziest most hateful extreme fringes that can't tolerate the existence of people or ideas outside their own always seem to control the direction and discussion?
Rick, my spouse will tell you the same exact thing has occurred in the veterinary profession. It got to the point where every Continuing Education seminar or class was something DEI, LGBTQUIAXYZ, etc. He is happy to be retired and no longer dealing with it.
Yup and the AVMA is on Blue Sky but not any conservative site. And your hubs is correct, CE offerings are still pushing out DEI, Inclusivity BS. Young vets are in hysterics if the mention of Trump comes up as if they are being held hostage and can't function. What a shitshow. Not a good look for vet med at all and add in the Merck Animal "Health" self amplifying RNA shots for our pets. Best to seek out a holistic/functional vet that does not use these shots and uses thiomersal free shots. I am ashamed of the AVMA and what woke crap they stand for.
Indeed Kat. World gone mad. I am convinced the jabs have caused some kind of mental break with many.
Just remember, Rabies is the only one required by law and you can get a Rabies Waiver from your vet if a pet has a chronic health issue, ever had an adverse event to vaccines, by virtue of old age. Holistic vets write these more often than allopathics and the allopathics won't tell you that is an option in most cases.
The C*V*D jabs did in fact injure people and cause cognitive decline in many who got it. Of all ages. The mRNA tech has a similar mechanism in it as the SSRI class of drugs. It ‘flattens’ people out (no emotional highs or lows). This is especially prevalent in my age cohort of the over 65 -80 year olds.
Yes the COVID JABS did. Why don't you spell it out? You may be interested in this substack by Dr. Jessica Rose on what our govt did to us with covid and the jabs aligned with China. You will fall off your chair.
Just a note about rabies and the rabies vaccine. Part of that rabies Vaxx crap is tied into the licensing of your pet, with the local authorities. Unless you live out on a farm or rural property with ‘wild’ animals roaming about, the likelihood of your pampered kitty or puppy (or yourself for that matter) contracting rabies is next to zero %!
I have family members who live on a rural property in SoCA. They have a small herd of cattle, goats, horses and a few Australian cattle dogs. They only vaccinate their dogs when they are puppies. And they never give them any rabies boosters.
go to the ahvma website to see if you have any near you. or google "holistic vet in (your city). Cali has one of the highest numbers of holistic vets compared to other states.
There are many like them. In fact, Chris Rispoli DVM with Gentle Care Animal Clinic in Oklahoma City celebrated with a horrific FB post when Charlie Kirk was assassinated. This was his comment. He is also part of the lgbtq community.
"Charlie Kirk, right wing stupid fuck maga activist shot un alived on Utah campus," . He is only the first! Could we actually be getting smart and culling the sick ones!!! Oh gosh, I want the to offer his family my 'thoughts and prayers'!!" followed by 3 memes depicting the middle finger high in the air.
Not a peep from the American Veterinary Medical Association. He has since closed the clinic.
Can you imagine what he may have done to your pets if he knew you were a Repub or Kirk supporter......
Very interesting. It seems like every aspect of our lives and professions has been warped. Many years ago I warned my ex, a surgeon, about the take over of medicine and how the doctors were losing their authority. As usual, he just ignored me. In his view, I was the problem. How dare I suggest such a thing! Doctors uber alles! Well it didn't work out that way, did it? I would argue that the problem is complex: time is limited, doctors (forgive me) are generally arrogant and private equity are vultures. It's a clash of ego, arrogance, greed and culture on all sides. I honestly don't see how we reform the system without just starting all over again, from scratch. We need good doctors but the health care system isn't producing them. Not convinced that private equity is a net positive for society either. And AI? Now that's another can of worms.
By that logic I should have had a very poor outcome for my perforated appendix surgery. All of the physicians who saw me except one (the "admitting hospitalist," whom I was quite glad to never see again a she talked down to me severely and wouldn't listen) were brown or black. And they all spoke with a foreign accent. And I am in a fairly ordinary (eg, not exquisitely racially non-white) locale.
Thankfully I don't think my surgeon bought into the nonsense. He was quite a gentleman.
Yeah, they all buy in & support it -- until the head of the hospital or his kids has to have a sudden surgery - Bet $50 they pick the actual best surgeon they know, not the new one who checks all the boxes and happens to be on rotation.
It's now that way everywhere - thanks Obama & puppet Joe Bribem! Ever wonder why so many planes are crashing? Why traffic controllers are having so many "near misses" or actual collisions on the runways? The incompetent got a chance to rule and now they are in the steps and ladders of every institution. This is why kids don't know our Nation's founding, the Bill of Rights or how to count back change.
Because of Randi Weingarten and her ilk, we have lost almost an entire generation. The one blessing we got from the Convid, was we finally got to witness and SEE what they were 'teaching' children! That is why all these young people are falling for "free stuff". The only truly free thing we can get from this world is salvation from Jesus Christ. Anything else is going to require work - and this mess is going to require a lot of work!
The Smithsonian has been sketchy for a while. I have a book that is simply a compilation of headlines from newspapers all over America about giant skeleton discoveries starting in the 1800's. They all got shipped to the Smithsonian never to be seen again. And I'm sick of anti Whitism, no matter how they disguise it.
Hey Heather...here's a link to a free download of that book...click on the book image to get started and then pick PDF or Epub...use a VPN if you have one, just in case...if you find the book worthwhile, then track down the author and send some $$$.

So rhey had a hearing, but will anything change? And did the nightly news which I don't watch even report on this? If only everyone read Jenna, maybe this country wouldn't be such an ignorant cess pool.
Nancy in NC, good point. A lot of these Congressional hearings are more kabuki theater than anything else (eg Fauci still is not in prison). The museum director should be fired and replaced, probably along with 90% of the staff. Plus the museum should have to pay for itself from private donors NOT taxpayers.
I’m a grant writer for an aviation museum. 95% of the aircraft were developed to fight war. We examine history, detail and celebrate the accomplishments of the people of an era. If you want a good laugh, read the grant guidelines from any of the government grant programs pre-Trump.
Stuff is happening. Lots of it, we just don’t hear about it unless we search it out. It’s going to take more than 1 Trump term to fix what’s been bad for so long. https://www.whitehouse.gov/news/
Didn't matter what kind of typewriter I had, I still sucked at typing. Even now on a computer I suck at typing, even worse on the phone and texting - it's a lost cause.
I LOVED typing as a kid. Literally would beg my mom to let me type her work. By the time I got to high school typing class, I could already type probably 50-60 words a minute. By my first job it was probably 90. Back then writers generally recorded their interviews not for backup but so they could go back and slowly type out the quotes. I could type any conversation in real time so sometimes I didn't bother. People seemed shocked by this; I thought it was normal hahahaha.
A weird little OCD quirk (well, one of a few) about me from years of doing this for a living: I "transcribe" (I call it "air typing") conversations all the time without realizing it. Just whatever the other person is saying, I'm typing with my fingers on imaginary keys. Sometimes I get stuck on a word because I particularly like the keystrokes of it and I'll keep repeating it and completely lose track of the conversation. I have no idea if there's even one other person on the planet who does this!! My friends and family know--but I've never put it out there. Now I'm curious! :)
The same kids who are buying vinyl records and dvds are also starting to figure out the typewriter. Give it a couple years or so and typewriters will be the trend again.
Meanwhile, I will sit here with my historically accurate cocktail and wait for kids to discover how delightful manual transmissions are. Make Shifting Gears Great Again!
There is a video out there where parents gave 2 teenage sons a rotary phone & challenged them to figure out how to use it in 2 minutes ( I think). Hilarious !
I was in a typing and office machines class in 10th grade with 2 of us guys and 28 girls; what's a typewriter? Hahahahahaha!!! I had a Royal open riibbon typewriter with the visible keys lol!!!
That's why there's always combo/other!!! You can only have 5 replies max (you could have any number less than that); if there were an option to have dozens I'd be in heaven! (A, B, and sometimes D unless G) Hahahahaha!
Jon Erwin made it. Excellent interview of him recently by Mike Rowe. His grandfather was a medal of honor recipient in WW2. Another amazing story. Well worth the listen.
I had no idea, never been there, but am appalled that someone thought this was evwn remotely America's history. After reading Jennas's description of degenerate, objectional items in the "museum", I'm surprised they didn't have the abominable "artwork" of a crucifix in a jar of p*ss.
In the looney's defense, this gender binary and BDSM crap is technically a recent part of our dark history. While they are at it, they should include displays of how the Rockefeller family took over the medical industry and created the modern day sick care system, 9/11 was a false flag, how Convid-1984 was a military operation, and how our entire government is basically run by a bunch of satanic pedophiles that meet secretly on islands who represent corporations and parasites instead of actual Americans.
Demoralization 101:
Rip down old statues
Destory old heroes
Ruin the architecture and replace it with monstrocities like Obama's concrete "library"
Wreck the culture replace it with LGBTQ++ obscenities
We are here. What it means to be American is now desecrated. Any questions?
How to fix?
Marxists captured the Smithsonian. Just like they captured Education, Hollywood, NBA, WNBA (who is committing economic suicide by censoring Sophie Cunningham), Gay Community, Healthcare and on and on. It’s time to name and destroy the Marxist Cancer from America.
How to fix? Short answer: get mad!

It takes an architech and an entire construction team with millions of engineered pars to design and erect a skyscraper.
It takes an idiot with a match and an oil can to bring one down.
Build and rebuild it anyway.

If this expose is not followed by immediate financial censure, what's the point of even talking about it.
An exhaustive search of the Constitution does not reveal "museum curation" among the enumerated powers.
It also doesn’t mention “museum funding” as a federal responsibility. But if the taxpayer (i.e., me) is footing the bill for a museum, then the taxpayer’s (i.e., my) fairly elected representatives in government should have some curation authority over said museum.

I agree... cut their budget harshly until they can get themselves back on track to represent real history.
I voted “reflect history” but I’d also like to vote “serve cocktails”. You know, to make history more fun. For the parents.
Also, the progressive sick bullshit needs to be permanently gone.
I voted serve cocktails even though I knew the appropriate answer was reflect history. To split the difference, I’d like to suggest an exhibit on the history of American cocktails. With samples.
Start with George Washington's recipes for "Cherry Bounce"! :-)
Me too! Even though I’m not much into cocktails, but something that involves more fun, I am all in!
Well I’m in! If the Coca Cola museum can serve samples then so can other museums. ID required, though. Unless you’re voting then no ID 🤣
LOL! Good reminder. If ever visiting the Coke museum, or if the Smithsonian wises up and makes this cocktail exhibit for us, bring some crackers. Goldfish in a ziplock work pretty well.

Yes. There are stills all over the backwoods. Ask me how I know 😎
I voted cocktails because nothing is going to come of all of this other than everyone doing a fancy dance, so why not have a DJ and drinks?
Historically accurate dances along with the adult American beverages.
Same!!
Agree! Why not have some fun! 💃🕺🏻🍹
Bonus points if they're historically accurate cocktails. You know, for education...
Jenna,
The ideologic capture of the Smithsonian, gradually, like the proverbial frog in the pan of water on the stove, perfectly mirrors what has happened to the profession of medicine, especially my own area of surgery. The premier organization representing surgeons of all specialties has bought into critical race theory and queer culture lock, stock, and barrel. That's just heartbreaking on every level. I know I'm Pollyanna and all, but I do believe pendulums always swing back... and it seems as if we've gone just about as far as we possibly can...
I do believe this as well, Jenna! And, I am no Pollyanna! 🥳💥🔥

Wowza, the insanity has has gone viral since 2/3rd’s of humanity was injected with the poison shot. No fecking coincidence!
FWIW, I will NOT have my fur babies ever subjected to those miscreants at that Vet’s office. I could reiterate stories that would blow your mind.
They still send me emails reminding me to poison my pups with their magical mystery vaccines!
Indeed Kat. World gone mad. I am convinced the jabs have caused some kind of mental break with many.
Just remember, Rabies is the only one required by law and you can get a Rabies Waiver from your vet if a pet has a chronic health issue, ever had an adverse event to vaccines, by virtue of old age. I am very well versed in all things Rabies, thank you Frontera.
As I am sure you know, titers are available as well if needed.
If I could find a holistic vet, I would do it in a heartbeat
You know living up in LA (which is in CA last I checked) that the holistic vets are not that plentiful down here in SoCA.
check out the ahvma site Kat perhaps you will find one there!
The issue with the ‘holistic vets’ they are few and far between, and hard to find, even in large metro areas.
go to the ahvma website to see if you have any near you. or google "holistic vet in (your city). Cali has one of the highest numbers of holistic vets compared to other states.
I will try this. Thanks, Lori. In the meantime, I am never giving my pups another poison injection!
Oh a just a note, us California folks never refer to our state as ‘Cali’. Commifornia yes, but not Cali.
LOL.
Our local Vet office is a prime example of this shite gone crazy!

perhaps they are the Nephilim.
Heather B, I was waiting for Rep. Gill to ask the museum director if the gift shop had a “White Power” mug for sale?

Yes. I want the giant skeletons to be displayed. Probably aren't because that messes up evolution or reveals too much.

I really wanted to vote “serve cocktails.”
I did. Thought it might help one get through those exhibits. 🤷🏼♀️
Indeed!💃🍹
We are definitely friends 😁 see my comment below
there wasn’t a “reflect history and serve cocktails option”…so sad.The Smithsonian has gone the way of NPR. Their funding needs to be evaluated….
Removed. At least this woman needs to go, along with her staff. How did she ever get this job? Can we claw back her ridiculous salary?
All these hearings….nothing changes, no warrants, no arrests, no defunding, just yack, yack, yack…it makes me sick.
Stuff is happening. Lots of it, we just don’t hear about it unless we search it out. It’s going to take more than 1 Trump term to fix what’s been bad for so long. https://www.whitehouse.gov/news/
Hartig’s arrogance was nauseating.
SERIOUSLY.
Career bureaucrats are insufferable. It is a job requirement. Humble people with common sense don't last in that environment.
They seem to regard it as a virtue.
Defund the government. It's a joke.
By the way, my first computer is way older than the Apple Mac!
Same! My first writing job was performed entirely on a typewriter. A MANUAL TYPEWRITER hahahahaha.
I was spoiled and had the only electric typewriter in my dorm in college (1976)!
Good thing you weren't a drummer hahahaha!!!
One of the best things I did was to take "typing" in high school!
See my comment up above, John, I was in a class with one other guy and 28 girls, and we had spirit fluid duplicators...
35 wpm at max.
Hilarious !
Manual transmissions are anti-theft devices.
It's also trickier to look at your phone if you're paying attention to shifting gears.
I was in a typing and office machines class in 10th grade with 2 of us guys and 28 girls; what's a typewriter? Hahahahahaha!!! I had a Royal open riibbon typewriter with the visible keys lol!!!
My first computer was an Osborne. Lotus 123 was the spreadsheet.
Lotus 123!!!! Omg I forgot that I used that!! 🤣
I had a TRS-80 that connected to my tv. I remember "learning" how to change the color of the screen. I felt brilliant.
Oh, lord! Back slash, file, name, create is forever etched unto my brain.
Wow, that's a name I haven't heard in a long time! "luggable" computers! Apparently they had some serious quality control issues.
I just remember luggable and better than a calculator.
Like so many of your poll questions, Jenna, I find myself asking "why do I have to choose just one?"
In this case, the Smithsonian should do "history" AND serve cocktails!
That's why there's always combo/other!!! You can only have 5 replies max (you could have any number less than that); if there were an option to have dozens I'd be in heaven! (A, B, and sometimes D unless G) Hahahahaha!
I would enjoy sipping whiskey cocktails while studying the history of the whiskey rebellion!
That’s an idea, a different drink for every department/section of the museum.
Long Island Iced tea for the tea party section.
Great column. Young George Washington, if you haven't seen it yet!
Movie??
Yes! Reeeeeally good. Young Washington
Jenna. written by an acquaintance of mine about this new George Washington movie

Or the artwork of Hunter Biden.
😂😂😂
In the looney's defense, this gender binary and BDSM crap is technically a recent part of our dark history. While they are at it, they should include displays of how the Rockefeller family took over the medical industry and created the modern day sick care system, 9/11 was a false flag, how Convid-1984 was a military operation, and how our entire government is basically run by a bunch of satanic pedophiles that meet secretly on islands who represent corporations and parasites instead of actual Americans.
But, if we do the old ad absurdum route, when will they have a John Wayne Gacy exhibit?
