Heads up to all friends here, someone just copied my account and avatar. If you see posts that try to impersonate me, check that there isn’t an extra “u” on the end of my user name “justjuju”. The imposter used and extra “u” there.

It’s not me and I think they are going to start messing with Substacks I read.

ewwwwww, creepy shit. I will def look out for that. I think that we read a few of the same 'stacks, Juju. I think we know who is doing that, right? rhymes with 'handy'. ;)

Expand full comment
Juju's avatar

LOL Yeah we “think” it’s that person that created it given the timing.

The problem is anyone can create an imposter account for any of us and so long as they block us first we will never see their posting in our name. So we won’t be able to protect or defend ourselves. When they block us, we can’t see any of their posts but everyone else still can. So we are unaware. That’s kinda dangerous in my book. Their posts should ONLY disappear if WE block them. Not the other way around. So for now we have to reach out to each other and ask folks to keep their eyes open and double check profiles of our posts. And let us know.

Expand full comment
Warrior Mom's avatar

I am such a 'duh' about this stuff, I need to read that ^^ like 3 times to understand it. I do believe that Jenna deleted a couple of nasty comments from the troll person.

do you not 'see' when something was deleted either?

Expand full comment
Jenna McCarthy's avatar

I don’t really know how this works either, but I’m getting notifications of comments via email and when I click on them there’s nothing here… So I don’t see those comments or any responses to them either.

And as you guys know, I’m not a fan of blocking people. I pinned this comment in the first place for God sake! I totally believe in free speech but her comment was so stupid and I knew it would be Inflammatory to other readers so I just deleted it. Then she started spam commenting and I just didn’t want to deal with it so I blocked her. And now it appears she has created multiple accounts as trolls will do.

I genuinely don’t understand why people who don’t like a page or profile or substack don’t just LEAVE. Nobody cares.🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Expand full comment
Juju's avatar

No. If they blocked you anything by their account will disappear from your view. So it’s most likely they blocked you too. 🤣 Jenna blocked one of them and they were still able to post to her comment section but she couldn’t see any of it, (she was finally able to see by not being logged into her account I think?)

There were three accounts involved so far: Mandy, Candy, and JustJujuu. I blocked Mandy but did not block Candy or JustJujuu, however those two blocked me so I couldn’t see their posts at all. I’m hearing from some C&Cers that they can’t see the JustJujuu account now so they think it has been taken down. 🤞🏼 Maybe after so many reports it’s automatic???

Substack has this set up badly. If either side blocks the other neither can see any previous comments by the other or replies to those comments - and they appear to have been “removed” but really they are just hidden from your viewing pleasure, yet everyone else not blocked still sees them all - (unless the account has been legitimately deleted by either the account holder or Substack.)

This creates a really bad setup if the account was not deleted. We have no way to see if someone is posting in our name if they block us first. And, they can continue to create other accounts with alternate spelling variations, block you, and proceed to post in your name without you seeing it but everyone else still can.

It’s not just you. This smacks of a hall monitor mentality. Lol

I don’t really understand the point he is making anyway, and trying to shame you seems rather counterproductive.

If he wants a profoundly serious, “wake them up” article packed with all the facts one would need to see the light, he’s in the wrong spot. Besides, some people never wake up no matter how much you lay the sobering facts before them, but somehow snark will reach them. Your work has its place and it’s wonderful.

(P.S. it’s also possible he didn’t see your publication yesterday? That was more sober-facts ridden, well as much as you can be. Today’s seemed like a comical offshoot of that.)

I wonder if anyone has ever gone up to Robin Williams (Yes, I’m hereby comparing our Jenna to RW) and said something like, “You know, drug addiction is quite a serious issue. You missed the target joking around about it here, Robin.”

Expand full comment
James Allin's avatar

During Williams’ time, I’m not aware of anyone who thought that addiction wasn’t an already serious issue and even with fentanyl accounted for, still nowhere near as destructive as globalism movements active today.

One only has to look at all the Europeans who, over the last two decades, welcomed globalism with open arms whose societies are now being pillaged by low IQ ultra-violent immigrants also being protected by various progressive leaders and satanist billionaires.

I like Jenna and I’ll still continue to support her (even through paid membership perhaps), but unless she was making a run at Dr Strangelove-type dark humor, then yes I think she missed the mark.

Too many low-information people here in America would still welcome globalism with open arms.

Are we now grading substacks? How does that work, exactly? Nine for thought-provoking, 3 for seriousness of material

Uh, dude, you seriously underestimate the power of snark and satire. Go take a quick look at "A Modest Proposal" by Johnathan Swift. We're still reading it nearly 300 years after it was published! I’ve been blocking Candy Mandy is a Dandy because the comment section is so much nicer without their ridiculous insults. But that means I no longer see all the other replies under my own posts. 🤣 Small price to pay for peace and smiles - 🤷🏼‍♀️ I just wanted you to know because I saw you had comments there but I can’t see them anymore and I won’t see any replies.

I don’t mind opposing opinions, but empty accounts created solely to insult and ridicule others is not something I let stand. Have something thoughtful to say or shut it. They are targeting Jenna’s Substack, C&C, and Sasha Stone’s, as well as a few others. The more popular they become the more these mentally ill people crawl out of the cracks in the wall. They’re like gnats that just need to be swatted aside; they are no doubt insignificant in their own lives too.

Someone created an account with my nickname and are spam liking every note I ever made right now. 🤣🤣🤣 I’m a target! Is that like a medal?? Lol

My personal dream for our globalist overlords is twofold: let’s see next year’s Met Gala as a salute to burlap and once they’ve all moved into their 15 minute cities and are living in their tiny houses, I think they should try having solar panels while simultaneously blocking the sun. SLAM-EFFING-DUNK! girl, you are the undisputed Queen of Snark!

I just read this to my 87 yr old mother and she was like, "Wow". (of course I had to explain the whole 'net zero' & Agenda 2030 things to her first.) she's the daughter of a first generation Polish immigrant who grew up during the Depression. my grandma used to save slivers of bar soap in a jar with water and use it as laundry soap! I do the same thing (but use it as hand soap; I'm not THAT virtuous!) Being conservative of resources makes sense... up to a point. but the naked and obscene hypocrisy of the gazillionaire elites is almost too over-the-top for words. except for Jenna.
