When tens of millions are spent to secure a position that pays a couple hundred thousand a year, an elementary school math student would tell you there is "math" occurring outside of that equation. That's why a lot of politicians end up wealthy.

The crooks who donate the big money aren't doing it out of benevolence either. Their "donations" fall in the "leverage" category. It's just an investment.

The middle class is footing the bill for all the above.

"After examining 14 million records, including data on campaign contributions, lobbying expenditures, federal budget allocations and spending, we found that, on average, for every dollar spent on influencing politics, the nation’s most politically active corporations received $760 from the government."

Can we call a spade a spade here?

It's NOT THE BILLIONAIRES, but it's the billion-dollar 'public education establishment' churning out 'economically illiterate voters' by the literal busloads. "WHY," one agonizes, "do their leaders not only get an invisibility pass but simultaneously get to wear self-stitched 'hero' cloaks?"

Continuing in the same vein, the midterms aren't the "lock" they should have been owing to, in my opinion, the base's cooling ardor for Donald J. Trump, the Infallible. If he wins (I trust Capt. Seth Keshel's analyses more than any politician's https://www.captaink.us/), it will be despite his fumbling not because of it. I voted for Trump, warts and all: I'll take what I get. It's getting harder to ignore the warts. Just sayin'. My vote against the Greater Evil is still solid, but I worry that marginal supporters may have enough excuses to stay home.

Other - explaining to socialist supporters that this isn't about capitalism vs socialism or equity versus racism or any other BS slogan that goes against common sense. We live in a corporate fascist society where the corporations are making the rules and as we all know by now, corporations do not have a conscience. Corporations are just legal vehicles to allow psychopaths without a conscience to destroy societies with any repercussions.

This whole idea that capitalism is the plague of the world is just another distraction. Crony capitalism and a legal system that protects the ruling class is the problem. The psychopaths in power that literally have their tentacles in every part of society is the problem. Throwing hundreds of millions and billions of dollars into a fake partisan system is only going to perpetuate and feed the system that is destroying us.

It is a distraction. Everything is infinitely easier to understand if we simply compare the events of the day against the events of history as conveyed in the Holy Bible. The Bible tells us what was, what is, and what always will be. We don't need to wonder whether communism and globalism are a good system. God told us in Exodus they are not. God and Jesus supported and advocated systems of nationalism. The corrupt, evil, centralized demonic leader was warned against.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

And Mamdani is the same reiteration of a rich boy, with no private world experience, who has done nothing but live off of other people’s money, leading the way for the socialists.

Like Thomas Sowell said, “The offspring of privilege have dominated the leadership of Marxist movements from the days of Marx and Engels through Lenin, Mao, Castro, Ho Chi Minh, and their lesser counterparts around the world and down through history. The sheer reiteration of the "working class" theme in Marxism has drowned out this plain fact.”

From your well-written 2025 article, Liz:

"Mamdani had previously claimed he intended to leave his cheap digs. He told the New York Editorial Board in February he found the listing on StreetEasy years ago when he was making $47,000 per year as a foreclosure prevention housing counselor."

THERE it is... Insider Trading. They always use their hooks.

Thank you for pointing that out, David. I sure didn't - and you are right.

Until Citizen's United is overturned, both sides will continue with the "buying of the votes". "WE" the people no longer have a say in who gets elected now that big money with special interests gets to buy the vote of the politicians.

Has anyone ever wondered how and when we let people become citizens and hold office when they hold Sharia Law over the U.S Constitution? And are they aware of the sixth century?

I was split between "Running out of other people's money" and "Capitalism refusing to die." I think both are affecting socialism. Although, the very rich seem to like promoting socialism. Maybe that's because, in every socialist regime, there are still the very rich, and they hope to be among them.

What's the biggest threat to the socialist revolution?

The Ten Commandments......

Warrior Mom's avatar

the Brit currently on my couch says that 'running out of other people's money' is actually a quote from Margret Thatcher. ;) ;) ;0

Without capitalism there is no socialism. It would only exist in the mind of the lunatic.

Tracy Sanders's avatar

The biggest threat to the socialist revolution is God and Jesus. Humans are either with God or we are against God. Socialism is against God. Communism, globalism, are against God.

Billionaires look at “Return on Investment” before they make a political contribution. If $10 million buys a politician who can deliver that Billionaire $100 million in profit, that’s a 10 to 1 Return on Investment. I’m happy to buy a $10,000 CD that returns $400 in a year. That’s a .04 to 1 Return on Investment.

The interesting parts about these billionaires are their last names and a religion whose holy book approves of killing non-believers. They've been at it since around 632AD. Jesus foretold it (John 16: 2).
