This entire Anthropic debacle is a psy-op. Notice how Democrats, from Obama to Sanders and Pritzker, instantly leaped upon the post to demand regulation. Well government did so awesome with our health care, education, retirement savings, etc. - I'm sure they'll be swell with AI.
Put together a graphic explainer on this: Miss Anthropic: The AI Drama Queen
Agreed. Mass psyop. Too coordinated. And who picked a well-draped Mini Gates to be the face if the op? It's like they gave up on even trying to hide it.
Agreed. @eddowdbeyondthenarrative wrote a great article about how incredibly well orchestrated the whole thing was and what he thinks the true motives are. ie to create fear, hence regulation, which prevents smaller upstarts from threatening their house of cards based on MASSIVE debt.
My best guess is that they have realized they can’t make money on this without government support and protection. Kind of like too big to fail for tech guys.
There are people on the other side of this, like myself, who think AI will eventually allow us to cure all disease, solve physics and even colonize other planets. Think Star Trek. However, Jenna, you are definitely one of the funniest writers around, no matter which side you take. Thank you for a great wake-up laugh every morning (ecept the days you make me spit coffee out my nose).
Other- psychological operation like many have pointed out. This feels synthetic. When the message and narrative are this synchronized, we can only assume that it's artifical. No pun unintended haha!
There isn't anything "intelligent" about AI. It's not. It is pattern recognition on steroids, meth, and all the amphetamines. Technology is agnostic. It always has been and always will be. It's the people in charge that are the danger. The same people pulling the strings behind massive AI datacenters, AI surveillance, digital trackable currencies, psychological operations, and wars are also the same people behind the covid operation.
AI will be inherently biased by its creators. Great. A bunch of left brained, left leaning (?) science nerds creating and controlling the world. Their world view isn't necessarily mine. Where do I opt out?
I get that we have to beat China at anything they do.
I also get that we don’t want our entire lives monitored by data centers.
What I don’t get is how an AI model can evolve spontaneously and geometrically, escape its digital prison, and somehow its creators are able to rein it back in?
Until a few weeks later they try it again and the same thing happens?!?!?
At which point, the people building AI should be charged with murder. Or are we to presume the prosecutors and judges will be the first killed? Sounds a little far-fetched.
Rogan's recent guest, Daniel Kototujlio, is worth a listen on this topic. As far as the psyop side of things, absolutely. To part of it. Don't forget that there is a great deal of truth buried in the Op.
Seriously? My MIL, who happens to be a writer and senior editor for a magazine, got an email from a friend at the end of which was a perfectly crafted reply on which she could simply hit "Send."Won't be long before you don't even have to hit send! (I think she figured out how to turn that feature off.)
@Jenna - go read Jeff Childers piece from yesterday, if you don't sub to him you won't be able to. Sunday is for paid subs only. Hoping he appends it to whatever he posts today. If you don't follow him, you really should. He is brilliant.
Read Erick Erickson's piece from today. They are very similar and highlight what the leadership at the AI companies are up too. Coxon was a plant, 100%. Timing between his post and the WSJ article give it away.
Glitter is terrifying. It's cancer, it grows and spreads and sticks to everything. I won't touch anything with glitter and I won't allow it in my house.

I'm very nervous about this whole scenario but I tend to agree with you Doug. Anyone remember Y2K?
Agreed. Mass psyop. Too coordinated. And who picked a well-draped Mini Gates to be the face if the op? It's like they gave up on even trying to hide it.
Please.
We have anti-monopoly laws for a reason.
You are spot on Doug. Sayer Ji just wrote 2 substacks on how this is all farce.
+1 What Doug Ross said.
David Sacks has it right. Listen to the latest episode of the All In podcast where they discuss this BS at length.
Whoa! Thanks for that.

Thoughts:
1. If God has seen AI to be the end, then it will be.
2. 10%? Oh ... Not unlike the Covid shot. They didn't pull that either. End result still playing out.
My best guess is that they have realized they can’t make money on this without government support and protection. Kind of like too big to fail for tech guys.
Ed Dowd wrote an entire column about how this is a psy-op. I believe him.
yeah, that's the answer, GOVERNMENT to regulate it!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha, LOL.

😉🩷
I'm not too worried, but then again, I live in Venecky. https://www.wbrc.com/2026/08/14/middle-school-student-agendas-contain-misspelled-states-science-errors-raising-ai-questions/
That is equal parts terrifying and hilarious
Yeah, looks like Chinese AI!

Computers don't kill people. People do.

True, but we have seen this before, right? No one ever gets charged.
Look at MengeleFauci for example

Thx. I'll check that out.
My daughter is a Pre-K teacher. She calls glitter "the Chlamydia of the craft world" because it gets everywhere and you can't get rid of it.
Bahahahahahaha PERFECT!
Jenna you are hillarious - glitterball. Genius analogy. Thank you 🤣🤣
Right?!?!
That explains it, so that's why I found a picture of a opened package of triple stuffed Oreos in my computer.
