I have been for years especially concerned with how this country treats its elderly, I mean, does away with them. I don't have kids, so no guardians. I would prefer a nice ice-floe to float out upon.

That doesn’t mean it should be complied with my medical history or my shopping habits, but we definitely need some way to centralize who is a legal citizen and actually alive, that they are only in the system once with one address, and what aid or SS they are receiving, if any, so that billions of our tax dollars aren’t being funneled to congressmen’s friends and family for their lifestyle pleasures.”
I see both sides of the issue. I don’t trust the NYT and I see this as a great opportunity to spread the kind of disinformation that divides a party. But … I also don’t like who they chose to head this up. Deborah Birx doesn’t belong in ANY meaningful position except for maybe cleaning the toilets in a state penitentiary.

The only thing inherently wrong with government agencies compiling all information into one place is that the data will be temptingly proximate for mis-use or ab-use.
If "effective oversight" is in-place and unbribable and impenetrable, the collecting the information should be okay. Too bad they're deciding to do it after revealing that there's never been any effective oversight and asking us to believe Bullwinkle-style "This time for sure."
I'm beginning to come around to the idea that America has become like Soviet Poland, which a friend described as a place where, "We pretend to work, and They pretend to pay us."
We need to pray as I said earlier, AND to keep, as much as possible, the money from getting into their hands in the first place. This is not the same thing as saying "keep the money by tax evasion." To be clear, I am highly recommending the legal practice of tax avoidance. (Another cottage Etsy industry if anyone should wish to stand one up.)
However, Palantir isn’t “collecting anything and that’s the spin the media is trying to propagate knowing how we will respond. All Palantir is doing is organizing information that has ALREADY been collected in the various agency databases. They have always been able to do nefarious things with our info, as the past decade proved when Dems misused it, but what they haven’t been able to do with the info is shed transparency onto their fraudulent use of our SS money, etc. The reorganization of that data really exposes what they don’t want exposed.

Am I understanding you correctly that Palantir's organizating/re-organizing of existing data will expose what the Deep State would prefer to remain hidden?
Or, is it that data Palantir chooses not to organize will highlight what the Deep State wants to remain hidden?

Certainly could go either way, no? The fact that that scoundrels Karp and Birx are in the mix is what makes it the most troubling. These are not America First patriots, not by a long shot. If there were better leadership I might not be as skeptical as I actually am. But I also know the mainstream media is using this for a very particular reason.

So with your reasoning can we even count on anyone being real. No one is trustworthy on this planet including myself. Not my words but the Bible's. I trust GOD and believe in HIM. HE is fulfilling HIS promises and exposing things. And prophecy is being carried out in front of our eyes. HE told us how to heal our land. IF we do our part HE will heal our land. Not you. Not me. Not Trump. Not anyone but GOD. Our choice. If each of us changed ourselves to GOD'S standards and laws, the world would change. As far as the shots, people need to grow a backbone and say no. He’s recently very liberal, which confounds me. He’s had 5 clot shots, shingles jabs and flu jabs the last few years. I would invite you to check out Pirate Wires take on the news about Palantir and our information. It is one thing to gather information- that ship has sailed. It is another to collate and orgainze it into some manner to make it actually useful. How it will be used is another matter and a cause for legitimate concern. Frankly, I am just about outraged out and exhausted with the steady stream of news on all the existential threats to us, our democracy, and the planet. The genius and prescience of our founding fathers is impressed on me daily. The knew humans were imperfect and prone to advance their own self-interest. We all know that history is a relentless swing from one extreme to another. Right now, I believe the pendulum is swinging slowly back to a more liberal (in the traditional sense) order of questioning government, pushing individual civil rights and responsibility, and sanity in our trade and economy, to mention a few things. The changes so far are tiny and incremental, but I see signs everywhere. On balance, Orange man good. God is in His heaven and still in charge. Life is good. Rick

Really, we have nothing to worry about as long as we never do anything. Much of what you've written today is creepy in the extreme. It actually makes me hope I'll be realistic enough to give up voting entirely. On the other hand, this quote: “I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible” seems fairly reasonable to me, especially when I consider the old "Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner."
