The media is mum on the vaccines; the White House is mum on the vaccines; I keep thinking of something dramatic that does not include setting myself on fire, that would not only create attention from officials but that would convince them to act: sky writing?, giant billboards all over D.C.?, baking fortune cookies with appropriate messages inside and distributed all over D.C.?, Crunchy moms showing up and camping out in front of HHS headquarters?, or maybe a hand-written letter campaign?
Well, I suggested it to "do something for the cause," but I realized later that I was assuming you ladies would be standing by with fire extinguishers as soon as the cameras turned away...
The spontaneous, unthinking, likes are the best kind... the most cherished. It's your finger's version of the Golden Buzzer, but yes, yes, take it back... if you must. This social media thing is all gauze and gossamer and gaud, a fleeting phantasm that we pretenders pretend to pretend in. It is a trifle. A nonce. Think nought of 't. See? I set myself alight!
