Simply blocking specific shows from our children’s view is not enough. Financially supporting any company that is promoting this destruction of the minds of American children is beyond what I can accept. I was a paid subscriber of Netflix for 24 years and I canceled last week, and it felt great. I’m not going to explain to God one day why I continued to financially support a company’s goals once I became aware of how they were undermining His truth. Just about ANY movie can be found on other streaming services. Usually two or three of them carry the same movie. Actually Netflix lost a lot of licenses for many movies and TV shows which is why they went into making their own. Some of their own were good but not good enough to support this nonsense.
Also, a LOT of older movies that are fun to rewatch can be seen on free streaming services, or if you pay for streaming TV with unlimited DVR recording you can set it to record movies you like any time one is aired and rewatch with ability to ff through commercials. I do that a lot and we have hundreds in our DVR recordings. (And I also kept ALL my old DVDs too🤣) I’ve got entertainment for years and years without Netflix. I also can’t wait for new services to take off that want to compete with these evil clowns. It’s a ripe market if they do.
Cable is going next for us. Not much I watch on it anymore. I will keep Amazon (along with Britbox and acorn. That’s all I need. There are many other cheap apps. I gotta have something as winter nights are loooooong and reading puts me to sleep in my chair after dark.
We only stream & spend about $15 on two Christian apps, PureFlix & Angel. Everything else is free. I've discovered that most British programming has always had gays, & are hilariousnfor adults, kids usually don't like it... American programming before 2012 generally doesn't have gay characters, may have one in 10 seasons. So we watch lots of old programming... Andy Griffith, Leave it to Beaver, Dennis the Menace, Cisco & Pauncho, etc... & my grandkids LOVE them!!! They also love The Far Side & Calvin & Hobbes comics! And those are great for teens...
I absolutely love Homestead Rescue on the Roku Channel as well as HBO Max (which we got for free for one year). The Rainy Family who help homesteaders are AMAZING. The only series I watch.

We've never had a Netflix account so there's nothing to cancel (for years, people have always been shocked when we tell them we don't have an account. Imagine that - we've survived just fine without one forever). We watch old tv shows. We use dvd's and things like Tubi tv. There's so much content out there for free (we get out dvd's at yard sales and our yearly library sale - we've also bought some full seasons of older tv shows - we're currently watching Star Trek Deep Space Nine after watching the entire original Star Trek and then The Next Generation). Trust me - the older stuff is actually funny (if it's marketed as a comedy) and better to watch with kids. Our 16 year old son can't name one current tv show or anything on any streaming service.
I cancelled my nflx acct 5 years ago and have not missed it. There are other ways to spend time that are far better for you. It’s gonna be ok! Just do it.

We watch Roku tv as well. Homestead Rescue has some episodes not all, on that channel. I look for the home renovation and rescue shows.

I wonder *who* is pushing it? Like any company, I'm sure Netflix's primary concern and motive is making a profit and might not even be reviewing the content of the shows they carry.
This is annoying me though because even in adult shows they seem to be cramming alternative choices down our throats. It's like they go out of their way to include trans, gay, or whatever characters just for the sake of "diversity". At times it seems like straight people are rare!
This seems to be a distorted reality (I suppose movies and TV always were fiction) since I rarely notice anyone flaunting their sexual orientation out in the real world.

I'm convinced "someone" is trying to destroy everything that made America a great nation. It's a simple strategy; they simply attack "family" (or "traditional") values and celebrate woke/DEI values.

All of this makes me think we are in the midst of a battle between Good and Evil. Always remember, "Evil" doesn't fight fair and they KNOW they cannot be exposed as they would lose everything they hold dear, all their perks, status, wealth and, for some of them, their freedom to stay out of prison.
We spend way too much time defending ourselves for being normal, having standards and expecting people to not be antisocial.

We've never had a Netflix account so there's nothing to cancel (for years, people have always been shocked when we tell them we don't have an account. Imagine that - we've survived just fine without one forever). We watch old tv shows. We use dvd's and things like Tubi tv. There's so much content out there for free (we get out dvd's at yard sales and our yearly library sale - we've also bought some full seasons of older tv shows - we're currently watching Star Trek Deep Space Nine after watching the entire original Star Trek and then The Next Generation). Trust me - the older stuff is actually funny (if it's marketed as a comedy) and better to watch with kids. Our 16 year old son can't name one current tv show or anything on any streaming service.
I cancelled my nflx acct 5 years ago and have not missed it. There are other ways to spend time that are far better for you. It’s gonna be ok! Just do it.
