🤣🤣 We live in a world of hype. It's amazing anyone can be shocked by Trump anymore. Every day I become more and more convinced that the population is overwhelmingly filled with naïve, uneducated idiots. (uh oh, better freak out, I just called humanity a name!)

People spend way to much time worrying about the markets and not nearly enough time worrying about what really matters. Family. Faith. Health. As a nation of Super Consumers the constant seeking of material

wealth is disturbing when so many people are spiritually vacuous. Mental illness is rampant. Almost 20% of Americans (mostly women) are taking antidepressants. Our children are suffering. America’s priorities are in the wrong place.

My youngest son works for a big financial company in 401k's, he wishes people would calm tf down. The market is still higher than it was in 2022 and it will go up. Use some common sense!

". . . it will go up." I agree. The question, over what time frame? John Hussman seems to argue, convincingly in my mind, that the most likely prospect over the next ten years not good. https://www.hussmanfunds.com/comment/mc250404/

It may, it may not. Different economists will have different opinions. That’s why as you get older and getting closer to depending on that money for your daily needs, any investment advisor will tell you to move your investments into less volatile assets, like bonds. Stocks are for people who can tolerate risk and have time to wait for it to go back up.

Yes,but,it seems I’ve been hearing that for MANY years…even took cash out,10+ years ago,to hide as I believed we would lose everything digital…I still feel uneasy about that possibility, but,my family will not let me turn it into gold, and bury it in the yard…🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t really understand the ups and downs of the Market. And I don’t really understand how the Federal Reserve is not part of the government, yet it yields so much power and Powell was appointed by the government, which is why I voted for fainting goats. I’m glad I’m old and at this stage of life. And I thoroughly enjoy Jenna’s posts.

“I know you are, but what am I?” Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! perfect rebuttal!!

Serious yawning over here. 3 decades in investment banking.. Same old, same old. Greed & Fear. The only true forces that move the stock markets. Faster news dissemination is still relatively new, but folks are catching on & moving faster too!

Trump has been using social media to negotiate and to forward his America First agenda since 2016. Nothing new. The Media created the TDS pandemic in 2016 to counter Trump. So, every time Trump makes a move, the Media rubs salt in the wound of TDS sufferers.

No doubt the effects are narcotic. I remember spending more time in my teens nursing the fact that I was rejected by "her" than actively seeking a replacement. ("Her" had been hard enough to accomplish. I convinced myself I'd punched above my weight.) Plenty of opportunities passed me every day, at least a few of whom later confessed to have been interested at later reunions: interested THEN not at the later reunions when I had by then turned into THAT.)

We're always dividing ourselves into "halves," and I'm no exception: half of humanity prefers sucking on a hurt, especially if it's throbbin' good, because it's "familiar," to getting over it and getting on with getting into the unknown.

Okay, and now that I've got the 'relevant' part of the comment out of the way...

Jenna used the word 'math,' and that's all the excuse I need to ask, "Are we 'back' enough from woke-brink to be able to share a joke about stereotypes as grownups without demanding heads-on-platters to appease the PC gods?"

Yeah, I didn't think so either, but it's too good...

"A recent congress of regulators of athletic competitions for women has ruled that prospective contestants must be screened for the disqualifying 'Y' chromosome. Their decision mandates the use of a cheek swab to be sent for DNA analysis, which is deemed to be 'less invasive' than a math test."

See what I mean?

If you've forgotten, for which we may all be forgiven, the beauty of jokes of the stereotype-type lies in the sheer stupidity of their premise; something sooo stupid could not possibly be mistaken for universal truth.

Nevertheless, I will take whatever lumps are due me although I would much prefer to receive similarly irreverent views of masculinity--because I simply cannot conceive of any downsides. (STUPID, again, right?)

More drama!!! We need more!! Let's keep focusing on the orange haired man instead of the strings that are pulling him around the stage. The more distractions, the better! I don't care what he says or how he says, just make sure that it's juicy and dramatic!

Meanwhile, we will continue on with the agenda to enslave this country like the rest of the world, bwa hahahhah!!! Digital IDs for everyone, more AI algorithms to control the bureaucracy and the populations at large, controlling what you do and say (specially online or in the bathroom), and we DEFINITELY need to make sure that you never talk about the covid perpetrators and the covid vaccines. ANYTHING BUT THE VACCINES!! Boys playing girl sports, deportation of illegals, doge with no accountability, and now the big bright light that is shining on the "lab leak" narrative that they want us to belief. 🫠

Jenna, you say you know more about cat care than the inner workings of Wall Street, but you pointed out some wise observations, such as Americans' desire for instant gratification. And that does influence the markets. As retirees who are drawing from our IRA's, we are hanging in there, trusting God for the important stuff.
