We have one "city" in our county and it's very blue. They have "protests" every Saturday on the square. They've been doing it for over a year now. It's a tourist town and I feel so bad for all the small businesses that want to attract that tourist business but they're being completely overwhelmed every Saturday from 11-1, peak lunch hours. The stupid town keeps giving them the permits so they keep doing it. And it's like clockwork - at exactly 1:00 every week, they all go home. I often wonder how much they're being paid.

It's a tourist town and I feel so bad for all the small businesses that want to attract that tourist business but they're being completely overwhelmed every Saturday from 11-1, peak lunch hours. The stupid town keeps giving them the permits so they keep doing it. And it's like clockwork - at exactly 1:00 every week, they all go home. I often wonder how much they're being paid.

I’ve flown one since 1989, on the 1st home I purchased at age 29. (It was vacant & in complete shambles, but became a beautiful home to raise my kids.) And that flag will never come down. Replaced occasionally, protected from horrific weather now & then, but always be lit up & proud.

Hating government overreach,sticking it to “the man”,and,calling every police officer “pigs” was the very theme of my formative hippie years... However,I do not recall any time when we were ever encouraged to commit violence during the protests….indeed,it was firmly discouraged and “Peace” was the ONLY true way out of the political messes of THOSE days…we believed that.
Though I have matured,and, now respect most police,and,very grateful for the men and women who served in our military ( simply dreadful what our Vietnam vets endured upon returning home) I STILL feel ( even more,now) the need to “stick it to the man”( especially those trying to stick something in to my arm, or the air and food)and,government overreach is very real and must be guarded against. I agree with your article. There is a trend however to police not being the 'protect and serve' image they used to be. The hate for cops enforcing the law is growing globally despite party affiliation. This is what happens when the law becomes the ridiculous. UK arrests for social media posts. The US for speaking out against the government (Jan 6th, PTA meetings).
ICE is particularly disliked because it is seen as deporting citizens just trying to exist without the appropriate paperwork, not just violent criminals. It has the "papers please" ring to it where everyone must prove they are a citizen. This was setup by the Biden administration and it is very difficult to 'unwind' what was done. It is also part of the 'one world government' psyop where people are forced to argue about the benefits of no boarders while also entering a police state.

The point is that we shouldn't have to show our paperwork so we don't get shot. If you are a citizen and are swimming without ID and an ICE officer comes up and says they think you are illegal and they are taking you in, what do you do? It is guilty until proven innocent. We have the Biden border policy for making that a more likely scenario.

Megyn Kelly had a clip on her show the other day that was a mom talking to her child about going to a vigil for the Good person that was killed (because of her own choices) and it was obscene, the way she framed the whole event, going so far as to say that ICE were the bad guys and were against brown people or people that talked with and accent and that that bad man killed Ms. Good and on and on. She said things that any normal parent would not want the very young child to have to ponder, since children are supposed to be shielded until they can grasp certain things. I think that mother should be turned in for emotional child abuse. They are all cray cray. I am totally convinced.
