Totally off topic and I want to give a shout out to Dr. Kory and Jenna for their amazing and important book, The War on Chlorine Dioxide. Please order and read it if you can. And donate to the Grenons on Give Send Go if you can as well.

Jenna McCarthy's avatar

Well thanks kindly, Roberta! Pinning your lovely comment (here's a link if anyone needs it ;):

I donated to the Grenons!

Just received mine the other day. Can’t wait to read🙂

I’m still waiting on my copy. Patiently waiting ☺️

This could have turned out differently if ICE had been using more effective non-lethal weapons: ultrasonic speakers, millimeter wave pain guns, water cannons, and bean-bag shotgun rounds. I have zero sympathy for any of these people getting hurt. I care infinitely more about the ICE agent losing a fingertip.

What these people are doing is NOT observing, protesting, or peacefully assembling. They are interfering, screaming, spitting, throwing objects, and in some cases…fully rioting. In my mind, nothing in excess of marching orderly on the sidewalk with a poster is protected behavior.

Why we’ve waited decades to arrest and execute George Soros for all of the murder, rape, treason, and theft he has created, though, I still can’t understand.

Juju's avatar

And frankly after the hundreds of videos I’ve watched of the MN protests the past couple weeks I’m surprised ICE hasn’t shot more. We say of course there are going to be mistakes by good people and there are going to be bad apples in every good LEO group, but why hasn’t anyone noticed the truth in this situation? That the ratio of “mistakes” or unwanted fatalities by ICE to the vast amount of attacks on ICE are so minuscule they defy normal expectations and believability. I spotted dozens of situations where typically someone would have gotten shot or beat to death (especially if I were the ICE officer) but the ICE agents are performing superhuman self-control feats. They should be praised for how well they have protected the very people attacking them.

And I’m tired of hearing “he was just trying to help that poor woman who was pepper sprayed!” Well maybe she deserved it! Nobody talks about what led up to her being sprayed and the why. ICE determines when force is necessary. You don’t get to inject yourself in the middle of their op and decide its legality OR appropriateness all on your own. If your right then file a complaint and get it in front of a judge, but trying to BE the judge and jury yourself in the heat of a moment, nurse or not, is interfering with their duties and as we see can get you killed.

Romgrp's avatar

Probs more people killed in traffic accidents. 🤔

Meddling Kid's avatar

Simpler than you’d think.

Ultrasonic weapon is mounted on a truck. Roll it in to protect the agents. Disperse the crowd. If they resist or arm up with hearing protection, move to millimeter waves.

Millimeter wave gun mounted on a truck. Roll it in to protect the agents. Disperse the crowd. If they resist or arm up with thicker layers that block it, move to water cannons.

Water cannons are mounted on a truck. Roll it in to protect the agents. Disperse the crowd. If they resist or arm up with wetsuit protection, move to beanbag rounds.

Bean bag rounds are fired from shotguns. You can layer-up to minimize the impact, but it’s still going to hurt and knock you back. So the rioters will respond with makeshift riot shields and escalate, giving the feds everything they need to arrest the entire crowd, which they should have done from the start.

Doug's avatar

Water cannons in sub-freezing weather I would think would be an adequate deterrent. Hard to riot if you're frozen stiff. But then the lib press would call out the Fascist chemical-warfare Hydrogen Dioxide weapons.

Juju's avatar

“They killed them with frostbite!!!” Yeah I can hear it now

Lori's avatar

Yup, guns work for me.

Alan Devincentis's avatar

We are always on the same page. Had they beat enough of them senseless, the survivors would have said fuck that.

Jaye's avatar

Speaking of ICE...

CraigN's avatar

Sad that the solution would come to these tactics. How about local and state law enforcement do their jobs instead? Hopefully, all the politicians, yes you Tampon Tim, Keith Hell'son and Omar Sharif, involved in this dumpster fire have burned their political career to the ground. Bunch of lefties would still probably commit voter fraud to get them back in office though.

Texlaw57's avatar

Got to admit, water cannons in -5 degree weather sound….quite effective! And properly entertaining…

Janet's avatar

Their job is apprehension. How can they do that with water and sound waves and such going on? Bad enough they have to fight off DEMwit wanna be heroes.

Lori's avatar

It could have turned out differently if these protestors were at work or at home being worthwhile citizens. ICE needs to carry guns, period. They are law enforcement.

None of these imbeciles protested when illegal alien criminals were raping and killing our citizens. I agree, I care much more about the ICE agent than these hypocritical, possessed entities.

Susanne's avatar

Think OJ Simpson, that's why. I applaud these ICE agents doing a job not many will do, some may not come home, some may have PTSD, they live a violent job, high awareness, always prepared (even while sleeping), most have families who want them to come home after saving the next citizen from rape, murder, theft, abuse, peacefully minding their own business.

Tonee norman's avatar

Ahhh, but, that would be too easy. How could “they” possibly create the chaos, fear and loathing with simple, non lethal weapons? I really am beginning to believe that is the true goal.

Lori's avatar

Oy Vey, next.

Occam's avatar

Well said, Jenna.

Apparently, half the country believes that we'd be better off with unchecked illegal immigration, rampant state/federal fraud, publicly funded trans surgeries for all, and Bad Bunny at every halftime football show.

I admire the left for the steadfast adherence to emotion over logic.

I remember some years ago (at least 10, probably more) the left and Dems in my red county were protesting that our county jail was temporarily housing illegal aliens until deportation . They made quite a stink about it. I was a democrat then, but not very plugged into that subject even though our small town was probably 50% or more illegals by then.

Wow! That game of telephone just went sideways FAST. Did you read my post? OF COURSE people are allowed to protest. I'm a yuge fan of free speech and freedom of expression. But if you show up armed and trained and you break the law (by interfering with a LEO, as much as you oppose it), that's on you. Full stop.

Janet's avatar

Damn straight.

Yep! Even if you’re a nurse who just wants to do good.

Too bad Ms. Good is no longer around. She could write a poem about him.

Girl on the move's avatar

I have yet to see a “peaceful protest” (which, BTW, is called peaceful ASSEMBLY in the constitution. I’m pretty sure the founders didn’t envision blue hairs with whistles blowing in the faces of officers!) They are very much disruptive mobs who get in front of officers, swarm them with whistles, and create chaos. By design. So as a first amendment supporter, my opinion is that maybe we need to be better teaching history bc some of y’all have been misinformed!

Skenny's avatar

There should be a law (enforced) against those whistles, horns, and such... Disturbing the peace is precisely the opposite of protesting peacefully. STFU!!!

PatriotWatcher's avatar

Except he wasn't "LEGALLY" carrying a firearm... in Minnesota, you must have your physical Permit to Carry and a government-issued photo ID on your person whenever you are carrying a firearm in public, including in a vehicle.

HE HAD NEITHER 🙄

His intentions were NOT wholesome.

Occam's avatar

lol lawful protest was NOT what he was doing.

More like armed man confronting armed and nervous LEO's.

We live in MN, raised 4 kids here. Unrecognizable the last 5.5 years. Living in a sanctuary state is like living in another country, it seeps into every aspect of life. We plan to move in spring, our youngest son graduates from high school. His public school encourages protests by just leaving class, same school that you have to prove you need a bathroom pass (my son avoids the bathrooms for this reason). The superintendent sends emails to parents how they stand with parents of illegals for their 'right' to an education. This is a state that illegals have free college educations, but my son had to join the ROTC to fund college. My employer sends daily emails where we need to avoid parts of Minneapolis for our safety and tips to survive if we do choose to go to these areas. Last time I saw this advice was a trip to Jamaica if we chose to leave the resort. This is MN! We say goodbye. Thank you for covering this Jenna, we are tired of the manipulation.

LogicFirst's avatar

Thank you for sharing a first hand account from MN. I’m sorry you are being forced out of your home state due to the tragic failure in leadership there.

Juju's avatar

Interesting. Illegal children get free college with no expectations yet our children have to commit to be available to fight wars to get it free. Make it make sense.

Katherine A. Ranft's avatar

Thank you Sw. It is awful that you must leave for the reasons you stated. I have two nephews that are doing really well in the Army. One joined ROTC and he loved it. University of West Virginia graduate. He was stationed in DC recently, protecting the monuments. Now shipping out to Kuwait, which is a safe place according to my brother. All the best to you and your family!! Better days ahead, as my favorite wild Aunt used to say when I felt a little down.

Cindy's avatar

I also live in a sanctuary state where “police” cry over criminals being shot but are non existent when it comes to enforcing the law. Where our governor and mayors push for violence and non compliance instead of protecting legal citizens from crime. Our once beautiful and safe city is now unrecognizable and the roads have become a scene from Mad Max!! Citizen no longer smile at each other and if you make eye contact you will be called a fascist.

I don’t believe however that this is a coincidence, it is a systematic approach to brainwash the masses and dismantle communities. The testing grounds were the covid days and the sheep lined up like lambs to a slaughter!

Lori's avatar

Good for you! So happy to hear you are getting out of that cesspool MN.

Romgrp's avatar

So sad and ridiculous.

The good nurse also had two extra clips. That means he had somewhere between 30-45 rounds. You know, to peacefully protest with. Apparently he was also on the very organized command and control signal channel.

I’m pretty certain he wasn’t spawned from Mother Teresa’s loins.

From where I sit MN has taken an early and commanding lead in the number of 2026 Darwin Award nominees.

Serious question, does the woman who picked up the soon to explode flash bang qualify? Though she survived she may now be deaf and blind.

Patti F's avatar

I also read (and don't know how accurate it is) that Pretti scrubbed all of his social media before going out AND his parents begged him not to go to the riots.

Jenna McCarthy's avatar

I looked into both of those; verified the parents' claims (they put out a statement); could NOT verify the scrubbing of social media...

Publicus's avatar

I verified that Johnny Cash had something to say about these situations,

"Don't take your guns to town, son

Leave your guns at home, Bill

Don't take your guns to town"

The subject is not 2nd amendment, it’s more about anarchy and stupidity. Oh yeah, and massive fraud.

Peter B Everhard's avatar

Tonee norman's avatar

Be honest and write what you really feel HH, that guns need to be confiscated.

Pretti had a concealed carry license, which means he went through training, including what NOT to do while carrying, like interfering with and resisting law enforcement. Those are very high on the “dumb things to do” list.

Janet's avatar

As written above, he didn’t have his documentation with him. Well trained, he would have those in case he was stopped. He was stopped, alright. Foolhardy action with permanent consequences.

Yes, the gun was a problem, how do you not see that? If he didn’t have one, the situation would not have escalated like it did. Unless you believe ICE is into executing people in broad daylight with witnesses everywhere.

Dena's avatar

The left is trying to say 2A supporters are hypocrites to state Pretti shouldn’t have had a firearm. They’re twisting the truth as usual, Pretti had a right to conceal carry from what I’ve read. His mistake of course was to unlawfully interfere with LE, ignore commands from LE & not follow concealed carry rules. He was a brainwashed idiot & it cost him his life.

I don’t think you “hear” anything other than what you want to hear. No one is saying he deserve to die. What people are saying is that you should not interfere with federal law enforcement. Especially if you are carrying a gun. If you are carrying a gun and have been trained, then you know that the first thing you should do when confronted by federal law enforcement is to proclaim that you have a gun. And allow federal enforcement to take that gun. You don’t continue to get in their face and cause trouble. And obstruct. That’s a recipe for disaster. And that’s exactly what happened.

Flippin’ Jersey's avatar

No, you fucking moron, I’m saying that he had every right to carry, but was a moron to engage with law enforcement while doing so. Logic is not friendly to you.

Mary Ann Caton's avatar

I fully support the Second Amendment, as well as Pretti's right to conceal carry. He was not, however, in compliance with the law since he did not have either his gun permit or his drivers license with him. Gun rights do not need to be rewritten; those who conceal carry must follow the law. Carrying permits and ID are common sense laws.

OMG PLEASE STOP. NOBODY IS SAYING ANYONE DESERVED TO BE SHOT. PLEASE GET YOUR EARS CHECKED.

Juju's avatar

I’ll admit that what saved me this weekend and yesterday from blowing a gasket was laughing at all the hysterical posts about the snow and ice in the south and how they are handling it. Louisville KY police force had the most hilarious stream of posts over the weekend chiding both citizens and their own officers for their mishaps in the snow caught on video. It was brilliant comedy on their part. And seeing the video of that dog that quickly went out to poop and the poop froze instantly and rolled downhill back to the house like balls to play with and both dogs were curious wondering where they came from. 🤣 Or the eulogy written by one southerner about enduring all that a disastrous storm brings and giving her last rites, and at the end showing a picture of the dusting of snow on her lawn furniture. I could go on and on but those humorous delightful posts kept me grounded.

President Trump is doing exactly what these other Presidents have done, he’s trying to undo the open borders policy that Biden enacted. As you said Obama deported more illegals than any other president. I believe the reason this has turned so violent is the extreme hatred these people have for President Trump and the money they are making to be protesters. Minnesota is in serious trouble starting at the top. He is exposing that. It is so heartbreaking to watch how hatred is controlling these people.

Chiadrum's avatar

I only saw a short clip- does anyone know what led up to the agents throwing those women around? We live in a cartoon, Matrix style. That said, ICE showed up at our local grocery and we live in a super small rural town with virtually zero crime. Maybe they were after someone with a criminal record- who knows. But the winning position is to only go after serious criminals and find some way to give a path to the hard working folks who come here, put their heads down and work their asses off to have a decent life. I'm friends with these people, and many of them are far better for society than many who are born here. And forget trying to come here legally. My brother in law is a civil engineer and our petition was answered with "You can expect an update by 2038". Sergio is in his late 50's, he could be dead by then. It's all scripted chaos on both sides. Everyone assumes idiotic tribal positions and let the fists start flying. That said, I wish we could have a national divorce. Split cities/towns/counties into 2 camps. Libertarian and Progtard. Let them have their Utopia and leave people with functional brains out of it.

Mary Ann Caton's avatar

ICE looked into a Mexican man (a distant relative of mine) who is elderly, been here illegally for decades, and had several DUIs. Since he is not a dangerous man with felonies on his record, he was not arrested and not deported. I completely understand why ICE at least talked to him.

Chiadrum's avatar

Good to know. Certainly not what my wife is seeing on Tik Tok. She thinks 5 year olds are being dragged out of kindergarten.

Tonee norman's avatar

That is very interesting and good to know. I also have some dear ,long term people in my life and not everyone in that family was born here, but, have worked and raised their children for 40 years… I know one son had some time in jail, years back. But,he was born here, did his time. I’ve known him since he was a young child. He was always a little thief and trouble maker….once,I told his parents ( he was maybe 11) he stole some special coins given my son by grandma and the dad beat the crap out of him…..I felt bad about that…but,he STILL got into a life of crime,later.. but,the rest of the large, hardworking family are good people..

Mary Ann Caton's avatar

Based on what happened to this elderly relative, I think they are doing precisely what Trump and Homan have said all along: they are deporting the worst of the worst and anyone who wants to self-deport. Our relative's wife is a naturalized citizen, their children and grand kids were all born here. ICE is using discretion; after they spoke with him, they have shown no interest in removing him.

Scott's avatar

You covered all the bases. I'm SO over this crap show. I saw a recent poll, however, that still showed a significant majority are still in favor of ICE, deportations, etc. So the operation will continue, and, hopefully, we can get Tampon Tim behind bars.

John Winter's avatar

Mary Ann Caton's avatar

Patti F's avatar

I voted "other" because I'm not sure what you meant by "totally preventable". It was preventable in that he shouldn't have tried to stop the ICE agents. Or did you mean it was preventable in that the ICE agents should leave??

Jenna McCarthy's avatar

In this case I meant he shouldn't have intervened (but I suppose it's open for interpretation).

🌱Nard🙏's avatar

It was preventable, and the fact that he shouldn’t have tried to obstruct. It was preventable in the fact that Minnesota’s leaders shouldn’t have inflamed the situation. It was preventable in the fact that local leaders and foreign adversaries shouldn’t be funding, an instigating riots in Minnesota. It was preventable in the fact that leadership is purposely causing a diversion away from fraud and sacrificing lives in order to do it.

Tonee norman's avatar

And,all this would be preventable if the very reasonable alternative crowd control methods that Meddling Kid mentioned, were implemented.. It really is rather astonishing that it is not….. I guess the reason must be that our constitution DOES provide for “peaceful assembly “ and, bean bag, water spray,or sonic assault just because people are gathered and making noise, would be unconstitutional? But,the minute they begin blocking cars,I would think that would be justified.
