Ya know, I'd be curious to see a group photo of the huffpost "health experts".

Valerie's avatar

They probably look a lot like our former HHS secretary, the famous ‘Rachel’ Levine.

Indrek Sarapuu's avatar

I remember a post from a few years ago, featuring health ministers around the world.

Levine was pictured, but the HM of Belgium, looked like the Michelin man with hair...

Valerie's avatar

I remember… zero healthy habits there

Mary Ann Caton's avatar

😆😆😆😆😆😆 He can't even find a dress that flatters him.

Teresa Parmenter's avatar

My exact thought! 🎯

Irunthis1's avatar

I’m sure it’s a table full of AWFLs and maybe a token BIPOC or two. I’d bet good money on it.

GregWA's avatar

Not me. Some things you can't "unsee".

Peggy's avatar

I was thinking that looking at the pictures of Gates.

The Great Santini's avatar

Yeah that would be good. I think a look at their CV would also be interesting. Might tell us where they came up with these cockamamie ideas.

Wendy McNamee's avatar

I don't know when women started wanting whiny little men with no back bone and zero muscle tone came about.....

Oh, wait... It didn't. That's just whiny little men with no back bone and zero muscle tone wishing women wanted that.

🌱Nard🙏's avatar

Remember the 80s? Was anyone complaining about Arnold Schwarzenegger? Sylvester Stallone? Hulk Hogan? 🤦‍♀️ Good. Grief.

Juju's avatar

They were probably secretly seething but weren’t in power yet, so … stuffing it down and all that, hyenas in the shadows

Valerie's avatar

Hahaha perfect!

Donna O's avatar

Lib women who want to dominate men like that kind of “man.”

Occam's avatar

They're actually afraid that such men won't pay attention to them.

It's all kinda silly. It's like all the body positivity crowd that are now skinny once they found out they can take a pill for that.

GregWA's avatar

Pretty sure these things that women allegedly want, that whiny spineless mean want them to want, are very different in the cities vs in the countryside. Another Red-Blue divide as deep as Hell's Canyon!

Occam's avatar

It's performative silliness. A woman will always choose a fit man if she can attract one.

And any man who listens to dating advice from a woman is misguided. Watch what people do, not what they say.

Occam's avatar

The cool thing is that anyone who talks like that immediately confirms that they are unworthy of further attention, and you can just go about your day.

Ask any man with an actual physique (or any woman who has a man like that) if they're rather not have it, and see what they say.

I love the claims from the Left media that Pete Hegseth is "extravagantly unqualified" to be the Secretary of War. What a dumbshit thing for any publication to print. Hegseth has actually been on the ground in battle in both Iraq and Afghanistan, something that cannot be said for all the Pentagon Generals. He was deployed by the Minnesota National Guard as an infantry officer. He led a platoon on the ground in forward positions. His team received enemy fire. As a result of seeing his team shot at and shot up, Hegseth led Veteran affairs groups after completing his service and showcased veteran causes on his TV shows on Fox. As for intellect, Hegseth graduated as the Valedictorian of his high school class, attend Princeton without any legacy connections, and received his undergrad degree in Politics which required him to study the history of Western Civilization, including military leaders (one and the same until the last few hundred years). He went on to study public policy at Harvard and received a degree. Between his military service and study of public policy Hegseth seems EMINENTLY qualified to lead the military. Most important is the proof of performance. The military turned around its recruitment problem IMMEDIATELY under Hegseth exceeding its goals in 2025. Three military events were engaged and concluded very successfully under Hegseth, the destruction of Iranian nuclear development sites in 2025 as well as the destruction of drug importation to America on speed boats from Venezuela along with the successful decapitation of the Venezuelan leadership. So F off Huffpost. You and your readership are the problem in America today, infecting the planet with your wokism

KatWarrior's avatar

Hip, Hip, Hoorah, Brian!!!! Thank you for pointing out Hegseth's stellar resume, and yes, FECK OFF, Huffpost!

SteveO's avatar

Very well said Brian. Great job.

KC & the Sunshine's avatar

I watched him do a Special Report, interrupting the TODAY show. He was fantastic, every step of the way, as was his cohort whose name I sadly forget. They laid out the preplanning, the plan, post planning and many logistics of their current mission. It was impressive. He’s quick on his feet.

He was asked what he prays for with regard to these soldiers he’s sent to Iran. He said he PRAYS. His wife and kids pray for them and their mission, daily, and the cabinet prays for them. He prays for wisdom to seek the biblical guidance to do the right thing to put America first and to take care of us all.

I was moved.

Donna O's avatar

And I pray daily for him, his family and our military!

KC & the Sunshine's avatar

You know, it hadn’t occurred to me to pray for him.

Thank you for the inspo.

Heather B's avatar

Yes to all of this. I'm from a military family and Pete is exactly the kind of man the military wants and needs. Stellar pick IMO.

KC & the Sunshine's avatar

I adore and have mad respect for military families.

Thank you.

Judith's avatar

Someone dare any HuffPost employee to a Pete & Bobby challenge!!!

GregWA's avatar

Great write up, Brian. Thank you!

I would add: part of the reason the DoW has been successful is also due to Hegseth cleaning out the officer corps! Hegseth is not leading military members directly: the officers he appoints are. And apparently, he's put the right people in place! It's what a leader is supposed to do, probably the most important thing a Secy of War needs to do.

And it doesn't hurt that he has "top cover" from Trump, to fire all the gender benders and soy-generals.

If anything, I'd tell Secy Hegseth: good first year...now ramp it up!

Juju's avatar

Oooh this needs to be engraved in gold and encased in glass, and posted in both the Oval Office and the Pentagon. Spectacular biography!

Richard schoenenberger's avatar

Didn’t he tear up his diploma on national television? I believe it was from Harvard

Jenna McCarthy's avatar

I hadn't seen or heard that but man, I hope it's true! :)

Gwyneth's avatar

"They cite literally everything except the possibility—stay with me here—that some men simply don’t want to look like anthropomorphic pudding."

Please, please, oh please Stop! I am dying laughing.

Jenna McCarthy's avatar

☺️🩷😂

Juju's avatar

That was the one I came here to reward 🏆 “anthropomorphic pudding” I’m actually having a coughing fit right now from the laughter 😆

In the spirit of Jimmy’s Favorite Seafood, who forever encased Huff Post in a feces covered box of shame, they can go … well you all know. Who hasn’t rallied behind their directive? 🤣

Gwyneth's avatar

When reading Jenna's articles, I have often thought of Hayley Mills' portrayal of Mary Clancy in the film The Trouble With Angels and her iconic line, "I've got the most scathingly brilliant idea!" Fortunately, Jenna doesn't face the ensuing dire consequences with her 'scathingly brilliant' mind.

“Sociologists and gender scholars, you see, think that our current political administration is setting unrealistic standards for male physicality.”

Except RFK JR and Pete Hegseth don’t need filters or surgery…they got their physic the old fashioned way…sweat and grit and a thousand crunches/push ups. Maybe Bill Gates should join the Dad push up challenge? 100 push ups a day? 10 here…10 there…log in w your friends…you know, ACCOUNTABILITY and all.

I love their abs! I celebrate their abs! I wish MY HUBBY had those abs!

This is SO DUMB. The OUTRAGE of being fit and healthy..,and yet we celebrate O-O-O-Ozembic?

I’m 59. I work HARD for my bod…it’s a daily struggle. No filters. No plastic surgery. Just healthy eating and “please don’t make me do it ok I’ll lift those weights and ride that bike” conversations w myself every single day.

Ok. I only read the first couple of paragraphs. Rant over. The Huff Post can…well…you know what it can do.

Back to reading.

And PS…we SHOULD be WAR READY. duh.

Valerie's avatar

SAME. I’m 58, I’ve worked out my whole life and I’m still having to convince myself to push hard every workout. It never gets easier but the benefits are absolutely worth it.

KatWarrior's avatar

Same, ladies. Full disclosure. I am a bit older, and yes, it does get more challenging, but, I swear I am in better physical and mental shape then when I was in my 20's/30's! Back in those days, I was "running fit," and spitting out sub-seven minute miles, and logging 50 miles per week. No regrets! That daily discipline afforded me goals to strive for longevity.

Now, I walk at least 5 miles per day with my beloved pups, at the beach, in the sun (God forbid), and I can easily slam out 250 push ups a day. That's just an "appetizer" sample. I have an aversion to being a slug, flabby boring couch potato.

I have never listened to the so called, "experts" spew their moronic nonsense. Listen to your whole body and give it some love!

Now, can we please all ignore the BS and LFG!!!!

🌱Nard🙏's avatar

The struggle is real…but so is the fear of broken hips. So YAY for us!

Juju's avatar

War ready is NOT what China or any of our adversaries want. And since half our government are CCP puppets, and control the media, of course they are going to strike fear into the idea of being war ready.

My hope is that young men will scoff and laugh at this as much as we are. And the dumbocrats were trying to figure out how to pilfer young men back into their fold and away from Joe Rogan?! 🤣🤣🤣

Claudia's avatar

I feel like the normies are catching on. The gyms are packed. Fitness is in. It actually never went out but you’re right - we’re harder to control when we have strong bodies. Now let’s work on strong minds 💪

Dena's avatar

Strong healthy bodies means no pharma necessary. Lose the weight ( healthily) & many health problems go away. Stay away from statins, which can mess with your brain & memory. Did you know that a cholesterol number of 300 used to be considered normal? Mine’s not that high but it’s always been higher than the doc liked. I do all the right things, am healthy- no pharma- so I don’t worry, though the doc keeps pushing the statin.

J. Watson's avatar

I started serious lifting at age 49. My goal was simply to be able to lean over and pick things up, walk upright, etc. It turned into a truly pleasurable and agentic activity. Getting stronger. It's amazing.

Kathleen Oliver's avatar

Hehehehe. ...oh please Jenna...more backwards speak from the left....so 1984. Of course it is about control. They can't control someone who can take control of their own health...Heaven forbid. I laugh because in my own life...I used to live in the gym (this was 1978 through late nineties.) So I was thinking....what about lady gym rats? I started out power lifting then it morphed into bodybuilding. And yes...I competed, have the tall ugly trophies to prove it. And the best place to meet a fit guy was in the gym...met my husband there. And now that we are in our 60's...and our goals have changed...more about mobility and longevity. I guess I will add another one, outliving democrats. Oh...and don't tell the pec police, but we actually have quite a nice gym of our own in our garage...so we can do our white nationalist workouts in secret. Hehehe...good one Jenna...will share the heck out of it. I mean...ripped Republicans have to take over this country, right?

John Wright's avatar

Love it! Goal: "outlive democrats"

KatWarrior's avatar

Thanks, Kathleen!! "Outlive DemonCrats" is added to the longevity list!

Juju's avatar

🤣🤣 love it - as entertaining as Jenna is today … secret white nationalist workouts 🤣 where can I sign my 60 yr old self up?

KatWarrior's avatar

Have no fear, my friends, eat real food (preferably organically grown), get out in the sunshine for at least 20 minutes a day, pray, walk in nature (whatever nature is available!), do some sort of resistance/strength training at least three times per week, and read Jenna's Stack's five times per week! Kat's Antidote to Absolutely Everything!

For those so inclined, plant a garden!

John Wright's avatar

Is Jenna going to start including some fitness tips articles? 😇

KatWarrior's avatar

If Jenna does, then there are alot of people commenting that can chip in!!! Hahaha!

John Wright's avatar

Everyone has an opinion. {grin} Let the food fights begin! Put on those walking shoes! Is it 10,000 steps per day or 8,000 steps?

KatWarrior's avatar

Either is a worthy goal. If you do a couple of walks a day, 10k is a piece of cake!

I had Federal Jury Duty yesterday in DTLA (UGH!) and managed to log 8000 steps wandering around DTLA.

No, they (Judge, Prosecution, and Defense) did not select me to sit on their 16 day criminal trial becuase I answered questions honestly!

John Wright's avatar

As the flood of tips starts... my suggestion is that it's more important you move often than to worry about total step count! Get out of your chair (or sofa) regularly!

KatWarrior's avatar

Yep! Just move, move, and more movement. I apologize for my OCD, and loving to measure things-LOL! Once a bean counter, always a bean counter.

Judith's avatar

Done or rather doing! In my sixth decade.

Steven Bradford's avatar

Shocker. A minuscule group of weak and “anthropomorphic” writers trying to dictate policy, agenda and narrative to the majority, as if they are the majority. Where have we seen this before? Everywhere, every day, on almost every mainstream media outlet. So sick of it.

Wait, didn't Chris Cuomo make an entire series of shows about his workout routine in his basement during COVID? Didn't the Left celebrate that by ramping up his CNN ratings? Or maybe, getting ripped is what got Chris fired. Don't upset the Wokesters and look better than your producers, Chris!

KatWarrior's avatar

He certainly did, Brain. I am no fan of Chris' lack of intellect, but he is clearly in great physical shape. And, yes, the Left did celebrate it.

Mary Ann Caton's avatar

Libs can turn on a dime on anything, a testament to their mental agility. It must be tiring, trying to oppose everything.

Meddling Kid's avatar

Exactly, Brian. Once they realized the negative correlation between physical fitness and enhanced Covid drain circling, they shut that story down faster than a Waffle House breakfast through your colon.

Steven Bradford's avatar

You’re right, lol, he did.

Anna Lafferty's avatar

Does anyone else remember Jack LaLanne? I'm pretty sure I recall my mother and her friends did his workouts in front of the tv... I just read that he was still working out at 96, the age he died....

Daryce Morris's avatar

Hanz & Franz…big strong men that can pick things up and put them down.

Beth's avatar

Wow! Really? Now they’re trying to convince us that somehow being physically fit is bad? Wow!

Roberta Stack's avatar

It seems anything associated with the Trump administration gets belittled and railed against. If this were proposed by the Demorats (my spelling), it would be hailed as a great idea. Laughed out loud on this one Jenna!

Teresa Parmenter's avatar

Not only does one look fit, it feels magnificent to work out. Yes, it’s not easy especially when health issues appear, ie, A-Fib. The older my husband and I become, it’s definitely a challenge but we continue on. Great post Jenna ♥️

Vee's avatar

Whoa whoa whoa, Jenna, that's offensive! Why can't I be totally ripped while also looking like a houseplant? Just look at the hulk!

Does anyone else's brain automatically turn off when they read that someone's title is "gender studies"? What percentage of people with these degrees get jobs and what do they get jobs doing?

This article is literally a nothing burger. Absolute nonsense and I'm thankful that Jenna is able to share it with us to continue validating how nonsensical the "mainstream news" has become.

Here's a gem for you all that appreciate ripped bodies mixed with a dystopian technology controlled future:
