lol!! I thought for sure that your poll was going to ask us who our favorite drag queen is. The idea that this is a mere possibility tells us that the polls are fake. It's all friggin fake. You can't have fair elections in an environment of fraud and corruption, especially when the voting machines themselves are rigged.
Although Talarico's election would represent a new low, how will a democrat-controlled house or senate make any difference? The left might as well have been in control these first two years of Trump 2.0, for all the support he has received from Congress. This 2-year term must have set a record for Congressional inactivity.
EDIT: In spite of this, Trump has set a presidential record for the most activity in a two-year term, even against unrelenting headwinds from the judiciary. It’s truly unprecedented.
A Democrat Senate would be much worse: Impeachment of the President and his Cabinet. Removal of these key personnel. Surrender to the Mullahs. Betrayal of our allies Higher taxes.
The cause of the failure of the Senate Republicans is being slowly removed, one Senator at a time, e.g., Cornyn and Cassidy.
So, let’s get in there and push to get Paxton elected.
Why? To effect the change you want and to annoy the people who have been screwing you with the Failure Theater. Maybe, just Maybe we can end the Failure Theater.
None of the polls are accurate or reliable. They are all simply amplifying the pollsters political desires. On average they are 3% to 5% more Democrat than the voting public. They all know this so the polls ‘tighten’ toward the end of the race.
That said we need to Remove Every Democrat. They’re suicidally crazy. They are the danger, not AI.
Kansas also has a liberal “pastor” running against a poor performing incumbent. Pastor will win as “they” selected the one from the largest and richest, methodist churche in the country. A lot of people in the congregation know he is liberal and a wolf in Sheep’s clothing but he will win because republicans can not get themselves out to vote…
All you have to do is walk down 6th street in Austin and there is no way you could say that Texas isn't already blue. In the middle of the day in the capital of the state of Texas, people are laying on the sidewalk and you can't tell if they are dead or alive - just like San Francisco. That was what I saw when I visited 5 years ago. I lived in Austin in the early '80s and it was fabulous. My heart was broken to see it a few years ago. The police just walked past these drugged out junkies laying here and there as though it was totally normal. No truly red state tolerates that. Texas is full of RHINOs and now California transplants. Everywhere Californians move, it turns blue. That's exactly what happened to Oregon and Washington. They were lovely places until the Californians moved there.
It's the big cities that are already blue. Probably where the Californians moved to when they escaped their mistakes--only to make them all over again.
Dems are fired up. I worked the primary polls in my high dem district and a number of them brought in the absentee ballots saying, I'm voting in person. (I remember thinking that in 2020.)
But more importantly, is that Texas has more than 12 million Hispanic and Latino residents, making up approximately 40.9% of the state's total population and the polls (if we are to believe them) show that they are turning away from GOP b/c of the aggressive tactics of ICE picking up nonviolent criminals – might have been a neighbor or someone who knew someone but perception is reality.
Hispanics and Independents helped Trump win and I believe many will either not be voting or will be voting Dem this time around.
It is a shame that some voters are unable to understand the simple concept of "root cause." In other words, it should be obvious that the scale of illegal immigration perpetrated by the presidency known as "Biden" would make it a difficult quagmire to repair. Three million deportations is a start.
I have been involved in Texas politics, D and R, all my life, coming from a family, most of which were primarily as D's. I am an R now and have been for several decades and work as poll watcher, elections clerk or judge, conduct block walks and actively participate in the county R party.
The reason the pollings are so close is because of emigration and immigration. As blue states/cities collapsed over the past 20-30 years or so, many inhabitants from those environs have fled to red states. Many are red staters, so that has helped states like Texas. But included in these refugees are many blue staters who move for the same reasons but are loath to change their voting habits. To do so would require them to admit error and most of these folks believe they are smarter and better humans than anyone who votes for R's, whom they consider to be Nazis and racists. (There's an old saying here, which I never believed even when I was a D, that conservatives think liberals are good people with very, very bad ideas: liberals think conservatives are very, very bad people). So these transplants are going to vote for any D over any R , no matter what, otherwise their self-perceptions and world view have been completely wrong.
On immigration, we have imported huge numbers of H-1 B and others from the same constellation of supposed Einstein producing policies from India and China, plus huge flows from south of the border. The vast majority have limited English-speaking abilities and few with marketable skills, so they are going to be a rich source of votes for the D's. (There is an area just to the east of me that's known as "Little India", as the vast majority of of its dwellers are from India). The Muslims are setting up their own ghettos so as to impose sharia and keep control of their females and these areas are virtually all D.
So the long and the short of it is that successive R administrations have injected huge numbers of people who do not, for the most part, share the values or religious beliefs that made Texas, Texas. Based on what I have seen so far, I think the R's will hold all state and federal wide positions but with smaller margins. Nationally, I think this will hold true for the House and Senate, where I believe the R's will hold both, plus add some seats in both. This is precisely because,, as you point out, there are many very weird, odd, racist, anti-American, anarcho-communist, and jihadist D candidates running everywhere, not just like Talarico in Texas.
You should have a look at Capt Seth Keshel's Substack. You will not worry about either KS or TX after you do that. He's the best election analyst in captivity and he ignores all polling.
Pulling hard for all y’all LEGAL and NOT INSANE voters in TX to thump the Dem’s freak candidate. Too bad Dems blew the opportunity to run a more reasonable, serious candidate like, oh, Jasmine (Don’t Call Me Davy) Crockett. 😄 Meanwhile, sharing this comparison between this race and the 2018 race when Ted Cruz faced a similar loony Dem opponent. Remember Beto O?
Other, because Hell No, but also I'd start packing. Up where I live in the Panhandle, I have yet to see a single Talarico sign. Not one. But the blue areas of Dallas and Austin probably have a lot. I left California to come home to Texas for a reason too. But there's always Florida if the nut job wins. All my friends that have left here went there.

Hahahahaha dammit total missed opportunity! ;)
There's plenty of opportunities! 😉
💯! It’s a tactic that is as old as my McGill University tank top! Fear is the most effective motivator.
Are they lying and “fixing” the polls?! Hell, yes. Are they fixing to steal the election?! Hell, yes!
This is a numbers game!
Jenna, TN has no income tax and great brisket. You’re welcome here anytime.
Don't threaten ME with a good time!!! ;)
But they use DEI doctors to rid the planet (almost) of heinous murderers…
Still on my list of potential Red States. Cumberland Plateau would be our destination!

I don’t disagree with any of that. Impeachments aren’t convictions, though.
The Congress will continue to achieve close-to-nothing. The “slowness” of Republicans is indistinguishable from “stopped.”
But I respect your optimism. Carry on!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
Texas turning blue is a scary thought.
All you have to do is walk down 6th street in Austin and there is no way you could say that Texas isn't already blue. So sad... we really should have let California become a separate country years ago. Then refused to allow anyone to immigrate from California...
It's the big cities that are already blue. Probably where the Californians moved to when they escaped their mistakes--only to make them all over again.
Looks like a “record breaking” number of Democrats voted in the Texas primaries: https://www.npr.org/2026/03/13/nx-s1-5745932/texas-primary-democrats-turnout-talarico-crockett

Oh yeah.
Don't get me started on the dumb electorate...and it's a shame that we allow anyone who is on welfare to vote. How is that not a conflict of interest?
I have been involved in Texas politics, D and R, all my life, coming from a family, most of which were primarily as D's. I am an R now and have been for several decades and work as poll watcher, elections clerk or judge, conduct block walks and actively participate in the county R party.

Pray for the Republic.
It is a spiritual battle
... that's playing out on the ground. so what difference does it make to call it that?
Because it truly IS a spiritual battle tgst we must PRAY AND VOTE. And PRAY, PRAY, PRAY !
We live in a lovely neighborhood in Sarasota.
Californication is coming to Texas…. Say it ain’t so
Only if you don’t vote against the Californicator,
It’s the ‘pendulum’ thing. Have to admit it hasn’t swung far enough yet. Pray we can survive till it hits the return trip.
Seriously…PRAY
